Art, according to Webster's Dictionary, is a human skill of expression of other objects by painting, drawing, and sculpture. People have used art as a form of expression for a long time. From the Mesopotamian era to the Classical Greeks and the present. Art is expressed in many different ways and styles, and is rapidly changing, one style replacing another. Impressionism and Cubism broke away from the traditional style of painting. They were both looking for a new way to express everyday life. Time is an important tool that is used in Cubism as well as Impressionism. This element is expressed in Claude Monet's Sunrise and Pablo Picasso's Man with a Violin in different ways.

Color fills our world with beauty. We delight in the colors of a magnificent sunset and in the bright red and golden-yellow leaves of autumn. We are charmed by gorgeous flowering plants and the brilliantly colored arch of a rainbow. We also use color in various ways to add pleasure and interest to our lives. For example, many people choose the colors of their clothes carefully and decorate their homes with colors that create beautiful, restful, or exciting effects. By their selection and arrangement of colors, artists try to make their paintings more realistic or expressive.

Art is something that can be described and expressed in several different ways to communicate ideas and emotions through visualizations. Through art we are able to see the world like never before. It inspires and motivates us to be creative. We are able to think further and beyond. In addition, art gives us the ability to understand what artists are trying to display and the messages they are trying to convey through their works. Art can be found anywhere and created by anyone (Dewitte, Larmann, and Shields 29-30).

Art has been much more than just a hobby or a way of expressing ones feelings, it was long before there was any proof of a verbal language; art was a key form of communication. Artists create art to communicate ideas, thoughts, or feelings. They use a variety of methods such as painting, sculpting, or illustration. Also an assortment of medians, including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, pencils, pen and ink, plaster, clay, and computers. Artists' works may be realistic, stylized, or abstract and may depict objects, people, nature, or events. Art today is the key form of the world around us, from advertisement too architecture,

People all around the world have each felt differently about art since the very start of it all. But all the same, every piece provokes different feelings and emotions. It is scientifically proven that different colors make us feel different ways, businesses also use them on their signs to describe their traits. Red, typically is romantic and aggressive, while blue is calm and serene. Green is also scientifically proven to be the most restful color for the human eyes and usually, is interpreted as a soothing color. We usually feel like that because of experiences we can link with the color, or what colors the eye is attracted to most, such as neons, or bright colors.

What is art? It is a way to express an individual 's personal reflections and thoughts. It is a calming remedy; it is a way to suppress secrets, emotions, and desires within an individual 's mind. Artists use colour as a form of expression, this has become a common aspect of contemporary art. Colour today in art is not usually regarded as an embellishment for form but rather as the essential material from which form is created. This changing role of colour has keynoted a general revolution in human thinking, leading to greater visual perceptions. (Sloane, n.d.) Early as 1966, Gerhard Ritcher has created paintings purely based on colour charts, to some this was a complete “indifferent composition” to produce, however it was seen to perform like a “great classical masterpiece” (Lubbock, 2011)

What is art? Can it be defined in any single painting, or sculpture? Is it even something that can be seen, or does it have to be experienced? The term "art" is so vague that it can be applied to almost anything, really. Mostly, however, art should be that which frees our imagination. It connects our conscious with our subconscious, putting into a visual form what we feel and think. It allows us to explore our inner self and fill that urge to understand our minds and our universe. Art helps us to see beyond the ordinary, to see what is in our hearts without being blinded by reality. Art is an essential part of society, whether it be in the 1800s or our century we live in today. It is a great way to express ourselves in ways that words cannot, and is commonly known as an important part in stress relief. Art helps show the emotions of the artists and how the world around them was represented on the canvases. One of the most famous painters the world has gotten the privilege to witness is Pablo Picasso.

Art is used as a way to express oneself and share stories or emotions with others. Every person goes through a swing of emotions and events throughout their life. Everyone chooses a different way to deal with these event and emotions. Some may not feel comfortable expressing themselves and keep to themselves, while others may be very outspoken. For artist they portray this emotion in their works. Among artists they also each have their own way of expressing themselves. Each artist has their own preference and paint in different styles.

It’s also the conscious or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium (freedictionary.com). It is the class of objects subject to aesthetic criteria; works of arts collectively as paintings, sculpture, or drawings: (ex. museum of art; an art collection). Art can also be the principles of methods governing any craft of learning; (ex. the art of baking; the art of selling).

The painting of 'The last supper' by Leonardo Da Vinci is clearly one of the major artworks that represents the Renaissance era. As I researched about the lives in the Renaissance for my presentation, I wanted to connect The last supper and the social hierarchy for this project. Through research, I came up an idea to draw "another" last supper where people from different classes share a delightful meal together with traditional clothes of the era. By doing this, I can connect all entertainment, social status, and clothes in one piece of art.
