The History and Science of Dogs Essay

It's likely no surprise to dog owners, but growing research suggests that man's best friend often acts more human than canine.

Do you wonder where dogs came from and how dogs became a part of family? Dogs evolved over time from gray wolfs, and then they became pets. Dogs have had a great relationship with humans for a long time. Now dogs have jobs, owners, and families. Some dogs are big, small, fluffy, or even have long tails,...but they always make people joyful and angry. Dogs are part of family and that has evolved over time.

What? You don't think dogs are cool? Dogs have been by our sides for thousands of years. Dogs are a mans best friend. Have you ever wonder where they came from or when they were first born or made? Where was the first dog from? All of these questions can be answered but with help. Wolves have evolved into dogs, and dogs became pets due to the relationship between dogs and humans having changed over time.

Well, does anyone here not like dogs? It is a fact that lots of people like these furry little creatures. It is a fact, for sure, that we as people love these cute little animals. Over the year, dogs and humans have made a lot of progress. Dogs have been by our sides for 15,000 to 30,000 years. It feels good to know how humans and wolves teamed up. I believe that that really kicked off the relationship between humans and wolves. The alliance between dogs and humans have transformed over time because dogs have changed and became a pet.

There are many different breeds of dogs. Dogs came from their ancestors, wolves. Dogs evolved from wolves to be domesticated and friendly with humans. Dogs are domesticated animals and considered pets to humans. I'm going to discuss about three things on dogs, there adaptations, there ancestor species, and how dogs changed from their ancestors and now.

What? You thought dogs were lame! Dogs are very interesting. They have been around for thousands of years, and they have become a man's best friends. They are very friendly, and they love to play. However, it was not always that way! In the past, dogs were known as wolves. Wolves were known as animals that would hurt or kill something as prey. Thanks to humans and their relationship to these animals things have changed.

Dogs were domesticated to do many different jobs. Some jobs domesticated dogs used to do thousands of years ago were farming and hunting. Each job required different breeds of dogs because some dogs have better senses for some jobs than others, here are some examples. For a dog to be a good farm dog it has to be intelligent and able to follow directions. A good breed of dog for this job would probably be a german shepherd according to the article “ A review of domestic dogs.”

Do you realize that there are many different personality traits a dog could have here are just a few. Huskies are winter dogs they can withstand the cold weather. They can help with tracking things down and they can help hunt. They are really sweet dogs they are good with kids, they can also be guard dogs.Pit bulls are also good with kids. They can be good guard dogs because they are really tough.They are good hunters to. Pitbulls are very playful. Some people would think that dogs innately know how to behave when they are leashed. Unfortunately, this is one of the many struggles of some dog owners. Although there are breeds that can easily just surrender themselves to be leashed, some breeds may just want to have their freedom. However, there will always come a time that your dog needs to be on a leash, particularly when you want to go outdoors and make sure that your four-legged body would not be accidentally hit by a car or just get lost from too much curiosity of the environment.

There are two types of dogs on the planet, working dogs and worthless dogs. If you are a pet lover I should now have your attention. Yes, I know if you have a dog that is just a pet they can supply needed love or companionship but there is a class of dogs out there that can do this while earning their keep, working dogs. There are many uses for working dogs such as hunting, herding, guarding, rescue work, police work, and more. The two types of working dogs I wish to share some information about is Police Patrol Dogs and Police Detector Dogs.
