Free enterprise refers to an economy where a businesses is free from the government’s control. There are five main principles of the Free Enterprise System. These five parts are, the freedom to choose our businesses, the right to private property, the profit motive, competition, and consumer sovereignty. The freedom to choose our business is whether or not you should go into computer services or any other kind of business. Is basically the choice you make on what business to go in. You will decide what fees to charge on your goods, and what hours you work. Certain laws prohibit you from cheating or hurting your customers or other people in your area. Other than this you can run your business anyway you see fit. For example my aunt runs a little store in our community, she runs her own business. She chooses the hours she works and the prices she charges. Private property is a piece of land, a home, or a car owned by one person or …show more content…
If your business is profitable, it is more likely that other individuals will enter the same business as you hoping to be as successful as you are. The other businesses in the same field will be competing with you for the same customers. Other sellers may try to offer more and better services to win a share of the computer business. They may also try to lower prices of their services. Because of the strong pressure of competition, business firms must steadily try to provide the best services, create the best products and sell their products at the lowest prices. An example of this is the 2 different service stations in our community. We have Cefco and Chevron service stations. One might sell cheaper products ,such as gas, to compete with the other service station so they can have more

The free enterprise system is a part of our everyday lives. Without it we would not have different brands and/or companies. Free enterprise allows for individuals to have large economic freedoms with some regulations from the government. Many entrepreneur have taken advantage of the system and gained immense wealth. America's free enterprise system allowed Jeffery Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, to create the largest online retailer and provide the ability for consumers, worldwide, to buy what they need or want with a click of a button. Along the way, he has taken the risk out of buying online from unreputable sources, created higher chances for lower prices, and taken the hassle out of shopping by giving us all a one-stop shop - where almost anything can be found. Without the free enterprise system, Jeff Bezos would not have had the liberty to pursue his ambitious endeavors that he is successful for today.
Free enterprise is a very important concept in society. It is what makes our economy boom. there are many examples of free enterprise, but my favorite is Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez is a well known entertainer. She has done a variety of things such as owning her own clothing line, being a multi platinum recording artist, and starring in many box office movies. She has a lot of talent, and uses her talent well. Her clothing line is the best example of a free enterprise because she has freedom to put out whatever she wants, and set her own prices. The government does not control her prices. It also gives her the availablity to compete with other companies.
Steve Jobs as young man, was adopted and found his interest in technology with his father. A free market is a type of market that the government is not involved in. Since the government does not care about what happens, the free market is also called “hands-off” or “let it be economics”. The government is limited to protect the citizens from the danger and that is the major goal for the government. The first two, Free Market and Capitalism, are the systems that allow the most freedom within the economic market.
