Swarthmore's potential for creating opportunities to make important connections with people and companies caught my attention. The externship program intrigued me when I visited the campus, as well as the tri-college consortium. The cash-free campus and shuttles are wonderful additions that will allow me to explore and create many memories. The proximity to the city also allows for weekend adventures, and trips home via the train stations. I love the small class sizes and close-knit community that the campus nurtures. The campus itself is a work of art. Although I enjoy exploring the city, I always feel more at home surrounded by nature and fresh air. Besides the physical attributes of Swarthmore, the people make the campus irresistible. When
At the ending of 2064, the war between Minnesota and Wisconsin had finished with a very bad ending. The war had destroyed everything and families were left with nothing. Everyone struggled for their survival. Other states did not want to be involved in their crisis, so they left them all helpless. Since everyone had lost everything they had owned, they had to start over and relocate. If they start from where they had ended, it'll be extremely tough. Everything had changed and nothing was the same. As a result of the war, this is how the society of Swynhollow came to be.
When people hear the word “college”, many panic inside at the thought. But, when I hear the word “college” I think about Illinois State University. In early July, I attended an Open House at ISU for my very first official college visit. As I stepped onto campus, I couldn’t but help to feel like it was my future home. Many aspects of the tour made me draw nearer to choosing this college after finishing my High School career. Illinois State University seems to fit my personality very well, has an amazing program for what I want to study, and is an outstanding campus for my academic strengths and weaknesses.
British history from 1600 to 1650 wasn’t the best time of history for british people. Britain had a society from 1600 to 1650. From 1600 to 1650 Britain’s government had kings, queens, laws and punishments for outlaws. Britain also had wars religiously, politically and militarily during that time too.
The United States is one of the top nations with a child abandonment and abuse issue. Every year in the United States there are more than 3 million reports of child abandonment, neglect and abuse. Today there are 329,957 people under the age of twenty-one reported homeless because they are kicked out, “age out” of the foster system or have run away from home. The most common reason on why these kids have become homeless was because they were abandoned by their parents and family members. Many of these kids find it hard to care for themselves socially and financially

I am standing outside the Wolcott House and it is 30 degrees out. A cold breeze runs through my coat. The Wolcott House is a late Federal early Greek Revival style home built around 1830. The home remained in the Wolcott’s family possession until 1959 when it was then turned over to the public. It was built in Maumee during the pioneer days; the home is a magnificent white two story, fourteen-room mansion. The house overlooks the Maumee River, a perfect location for James Wolcott. He was a shipbuilder, architect, politician and judge, it was crucial for him to have easy access to the river. It has been documented that this historical home is haunted. There have been visions and the feeling of super natural presence in the rooms of the home. I try to imagine myself back in time, in the late nineteenth century. Instead of the roar of cars, I would hear the boats on the Maumee River. The sound of wood being chopped would be heard in the distance, one of the Wolcott children doing some of their daily chores. The Wolcott boys, all five of them, would be responsible for supplying the wood and kindling for the fireplaces.
Many financiers these days come from privileged backgrounds. Finance is usually associated with the stock market, high pay, prestigious colleges, and something that only the middle and upper class can take advantage of. We rarely, if ever hear stories of many ambitious homeless people that succeed in the field of finance. It is indeed rare, but it is highly possible for them to succeed with the support of the community. This is why we, The Covenant House, are here to help teenagers get their life back on track to succeed in what they enjoy doing.

When the students of Swarthmore were commonly describing their student body as quirky, nerdy, and passionate, I knew I would fit in. With a schoolwide Pterodactyl Hunt, it is no doubt that there is an eccentric twist to this school: a trait that thrills me. When it comes to academics, I am only more excited. The liberty of a pass/fail 1st semester shows Swarthmore’s commitment to passionate learning. That isn’t to say grades remove from passion, but it was in pass/fail assignments
Beautiful, breathtaking and inviting were words that I thought as I saw Hofstra University for the first time. As we drove my brother to Hofstra for his first day of classes to show him the road in which he would be driving on everyday to arrive at his second home for the next four years, I could not stop staring. At the first sight of Hofstra, I knew my brother would be in good hands and I had no doubt that he would do great things. My love for Hofstra developed in fall of 2008 when I was only nine years old. Fast forward and over eight years later and my love for Hofstra still hasn’t faded.

Entering into Wichita State University I knew it was going to be an adventure freshman year, but I thought it was going to be completely difficult with no time to fool around. Well, my prediction was half way right and wrong. College turned out to be more adventure with a splash of difficulty at times. When I first explored SMU, I saw a juxtaposition of a suburban campus in an urban, bustling city. The contrast, SMU's green campus in the midst Dallas' vertical grey city streets, fascinated me. SMU’s location in the Dallas allows for the quintessential campus environment and the resources of a global capital; this makes SMU truly special.
Charles Swindoll has made it very clear that attitude to him is more important than facts. I strongly agree with Swindoll. For instance, the way one chooses to react is all based on themselves not on why they are choosing to act upon a situation. I learned during my sophomore at Palm Springs High School. That everyone has had a best friend and lost them at some point in their life for multiple reasons. For me long story short my best friend and I had an argument about a dumb guy! ..and ended our friendship. In the beginning, I was mad because my family and I had gave her everything she needed. For her to throw all that away made me feel like I wasted my time. Instead of letting my feelings get the best of me I simply accepted the fact and dealt
