Surrogacy has become a more popular choice due to increasing numbers of Australian women wanting to put of child bearing until they are older in life which decrease their chances of being able to have children, this is due to changing cultural factors one being women wanting to stay in the work force. By supporting surrogacy it helps to make it a positive way of becoming parents, which creates debate about it which eventually helps to create a law reform which will benefit people. Media has been both positive as well as controversial in terms of speaking about the topic, and making awareness on the issues surrounding surrogacy. The media has been good at creating general awareness in the community about the issues surrounding it, which helps to create public debate that fundamentally has lead to the changes in law reform.
