Many times people will not have the power to rise and stand for what they believe in. However the colonists had many groups of people willing to stand up for them. Among these groups was one called “The Sons of Liberty”. They chose to stand up to England and its unbearable acts. Therefore, making the problems they already had with England even bigger. The French and Indian War was the first major war for the Empire. French and Indian War “Britain drained its every financial resource to defeat its enemy. In the end, Britain won—and found it a pyrrhic victory. Although the troops were there to protect the colonists from a French or Indian attack, they had a right to decide. But as long as the Quartering Act was still not repealed they did not. The fact that Quartering a soldier was a must and a “Cant take No for an answer” was not very pleasing to the colonists. Another grievance to the list. When the colonists finally managed to get the Townshend Act repealed, the tax in tea was still left being taxed. The Tea Act was the last of the strikes that hit the nerves of the colonists. Not only did the colonists have to pay tax on tea, but they were pretty much done with the King and Parliament as a whole. They started creating riots and protests against theses acts. One group that came out of the uprising were The Sons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty were a group of men that were anti-British created by Samuel Adams and John Hancock. From them came an event called the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party was a major event in the colonies way to independence from Great Britain. One because this was the breaking point of the breaking points for their list of grievances. The Sons of Liberty disguised themselves as the Mohawk Indians and went aboard a ship
