Youth leadership and development is a huge part of agriculture education. It is one of the many things that FFA is known for. Leadership is important in all career areas and should be a part of every student’s education. As a teacher, I will strive to integrate leadership development in all of my classes.
As my resume indicates, I have worked in leadership positions locally and internationally. I have worked hard to strengthen and develop the leadership skills needed to succeed. My experience is broad — from competing in speech tournaments to teaching

I have not had many leadership roles because I do not seek them. That said the few roles I have had have always been particularly important. I have worked in the Registrar’s Office for Mrs.

Before this class, I had a very primitive and vague definition of leadership. Not only did I define it as per my views and ideologies, but I also said that each individual has their own definition of leadership. My initial belief was that leadership does not have a clear cut definition, but there were well defined leadership traits which made an individual. I also initially believed that personal traits did not translate into leadership traits with no strong correlation. After going through the various modules this class offered, it is safe to say that I have significantly redefined leadership and underwent a strong personal assessment. This paper talks what I took back from each of the class activities, assignments and how my self-assessment compares to the perception of others.
Once I turned sixteen, I have always used my free time in the summer to work and save money. My summers were often spent working at the local amusement park, Water Country USA; from the time it opened till the time it closed, six days a week for about three months. Having a summer job taught me a lot of useful skills such as punctuality, how to communicate effectively, and most importantly responsibility. Even though, my summer jobs were beneficial to my personal development, I feel as though it has somewhat inhibited my professional and educational growth. I have always wanted to take part in a summer internship or research; however, because I am expected to earn revenue during the summer months these desires have been abandoned because the

My Catholic School leadership experience stems from years of being involved in my diocese, first as a student, then as an employee and then as a mother who raised and educated three children in that diocese. I am a firm supporter of Catholic education as I have experienced the benefits that only a Christ centered learning environment can provide as a student, parent and educator.
