Soccer Soccer is an international sport loved by many for its beauty and emphasis on teamwork. Fans are just as involved as the players, allowing a wide array of people from all over the world to join together in celebration of the best sport in the world. I enjoy the sport because I find the skill, teamwork, and spirit it takes to play the game amazing! Soccer is believed to have originated somewhere in China 300-400 B.D. In Japan the game appeared around 600 A.D. However, the game was actually developed in England. The game in China featured a ball of feathers and a tiny net of about 16 inches, while the game played in England was more similar to the modern day one. The goal of the game is to make goals. This is done by kicking the soccer ball into the opposing team’s net. Today the net is 7.32m x 2.44 m, the field is 110 m x 73 m, and the game is played with eleven players, ten field players and one goal keeper. It has definitely changed from medieval times. …show more content…
Some of the health benefits are cardiovascular fitness, body composition, flexibility, and muscular strength and endurance. Since soccer requires continuous running, it is an aerobic exercise, which helps build cardiovascular fitness. It improves body composition by burning fats and building up muscle. It also improves muscular endurance and strength because of the shifts from speed (running, walking, sprinting) that occur throughout a game. Lastly, soccer improves flexibility through dynamic, ballistic, and static stretching. Dynamic stretching is featured in soccer warm-ups, ballistic stretching is used during the game when the players move about the field (jump up, lift their legs, or use arms for throw-ins), and static stretching is used to stretch the quads when one bends the leg up at the knee in famous flamingo
Soccer is a sport that is highly driven and highly defined by fans culture. It combines so many positive attributes into one activity. It’s a sport that is available to everybody, regarding the player’s status in society. I become soccer fan at a young age. I started playing soccer at the age of eight years and because of the financial limitation I used to play with a soccer ball made out of rags. We would go around the city, my friends and I, looking for these rags to make a good soccer ball. We would play with these balls of rags on the dusty play grounds all day and not even go home to eat. For these reasons, soccer has had a huge impact in my life. I am a huge soccer fan. Soccer is a game based on teamwork and relationships. In order to win, you need team strategy, and personal style while working closely as a team. Most people call it a “beautiful game” because of its unique skills of creativity. In football, scoring is what is important but when it comes to soccer, smartness and creativity are as important as scoring. It’s a sport that you need to be actively focused mentally and physically. You need to be able to pick up your pace of the play, make a quick decision, and execute the pass. These are the things that makes soccer unique sport.
Lead researcher Peter Krustrup said that scoring goals in soccer can reduce blood pressure and burns fat. Also Professor Jens Bangsbo says that soccer improves effects to health, including a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular diseases, falls and fractures. . You can stay active and fit from playing soccer because you run a lot at practice and at games for few hours.
Soccer is the most popular sport in the world with an estimated 200 million active players. The sport of soccer is performed by men, women, children and adults with different levels of expertise. The game is played on a rectangular field (100-110m by 65-75m) with a goal at each end. Each team has eleven field players including a goalie. The main objective of the game is to score by getting the ball (28in) into the opposing goal. The team that has scored more goals at the end of the game is the winner.
Much associate soccer with English history, but actually it all started in the Han Dynasty. The Han Dynasty started the roots of the game by filling leather balls with feathers and hair, and in which they had to kick the ball through a small opening. It isn’t as easy as many would think because you aren’t allowed to use your hands, so in other words, you can use everything else. This new game eventually caught on big in England, and even though the game is massively popular, the game was frowned upon at the same time. The players would get so caught up in the game
Everyone in their lives has low points, but the best way to get through them is me not giving up. This story represents a perfect example of that, therefore, this story is for everyone having a bad time.
Soccer officially originated in London, England in 1863 (“Athletic Scholarships”). The word “soccer,” which is believed to have originated in Britain some 200 years ago, comes from the official name of the sport, “association football.” As other versions of the game evolved to include Rugby Football, it is believed the Brits adopted
Firstly, I love soccer because it is my most favorite sport. I love having the thrill of running up and down the field. I also love the excitement of scoring, and the adrenaline rush of being thrown to the ground, just to bounce
Soccer is more than just a sport. Soccer is an activity which helps bring peace and unity to the world. It is something that makes people from all different ethnic groups come together. It is the sport with the most recognition throughout the world, and for me soccer made a huge difference for me personally, the first thing I learned was how to work hard, simply because if the coach saw you not putting in your 100% every practice he would often bench you the entire game. Starting positions were earned and were not just handed out, you needed to prove to the coach that you were working hard which means
Soccer which is considered the world’s most common played sport. This sport is played between two teams of 12 people. There are many different positions on the field. These two team’s player with a round ball that may not be touched with the hands or arms during play except by the goalkeepers. The object of the game is to score goals by kicking or heading the ball into the opponents' goal. The most important position on the soccer field is the defenders. I believe the best defender is Sergio Ramos who plays for Spain. This position is expected to defend the goal and stop opponents from scoring so without this position the goalie has no help. Defenders need to be conditioned, aware of their surroundings, and react fast. Defenders overall role
Growing up I always felt as though I was different from those in my environment. Living in a predominantly white neighborhood and being one of two African-American students in a class of forty. I was quite oblivious to the fact that I didn’t look like anyone else around me. It never bothered me until I began venturing out of the world that I had become accustomed to. Soccer played an important role in the way that I stepped out of the world that I had grown comfortable in. I began to meet new people from different backgrounds who shared the same interest and aspirations as me. Soccer which may seem like just a regular sport to an observer, allowed me to explore the diverse world that I had not been exposed to before.

Soccer is my favorite sport! When I was little I used to play soccer all the time with my dad. My dad started teaching me how to pay soccer around the age 3. I grew up playing soccer with my dad and we had lots of fun. Sometimes we would just kick the ball around, other times we would play a whole game. We
There are many physical benefits from playing soccer. Because soccer is a continuous sport in the fact that it doesn’t stop except for the end
When discussing major sporting events of the world, the World Cup is the second most watched sporting event in the world (outside of the Olympics). An event that occurs every four years involves countries from the entire world. The last World Cup occurred in 2014 in Brazil, with over 3,400,000 million in attendance and over 219 countries around the world watching from home (Slater, 2014). With the plethora of fans in attendance or watching at home, combined with the money and resources involved into the coverage both from around the world and at the country that is hosting it, one can understand the amount of money involved. However, hosting the event can make said country an abundance of profits. Due to this, there is a committee that is
Soccer, known as football in other countries, is one of the oldest and a complete sport human race has ever invented. The list of advantages of playing soccer might never end and that is the primary reason it beats nearly every other sport. In this age, we have infinite sports that are played for recreational or competitive purposes. However, all of these sports lack in something or the other. None of them nourishes its players like soccer does; probably that is why it is the most played game in the world today. From patients to housewives, kids to office workers, playing soccer improves everybody in a way that they start performing better in their soccer-less phases of life, as well. Putting some light on biological and social advantages of playing soccer will certainly make it clear how it helps people improve. On the other hand, comparing it with other sports will signify how this sport beats others.
