In Ethiopia, taxis are mostly vans capable of carrying up to twelve passenger customers who pay a fixed rate to get to their destinations. The taxies have conductors and this assistant called “woyala” who collect fares. The fares are paid only in cash because there is no electronic payment system. The conductor calls out the names of the places on the way to the stops and final destination. There are no signs, so the passengers have to listen to the conductor calling out the locations. On the contrary, in the United States, taxies are mostly small and gave the customer privet ride to a specific destination. Fees are paid based on the distance driven, and electronic payment is also available for convenience purposes. Because of road unavailability and unaffordability of cars for local people, the taxi system in Ethiopia is also limited to very few cities unlike the United

The difference in the share of railways in the USA and the EU is due to the geographical distances between cities in the USA and the EU. Railways cost less to operate and have fewer emissions when compared to trucking. Yet, the use of railways is limited for the following reasons: (i) building its infrastructure is very costly; (ii) the long lead time required for developing the infrastructure; (iii) consistent-high-volume of the freight traffic is needed for economic viability; and (iv) the need for trucks for the distribution to the final destinations. Trucks have many advantages over other modes of transportation, especially that they provide last mile delivery. Trucks, as compared to railways, ships, or planes have the most flexibility in reaching a destination, and the upfront
I went to a country where the first coffee plant was ever found located on the horn of Africa. I do not remember much about the trip, but I still remember enough to make this essay. Ethiopia is the birthplace of my sweet mom and the place I first saw my grandparents. The main reason I went was to see my extraordinary family that was in Ethiopia. During the trip I had a great time, especially when I went to the beach for the first time (with my family).
Many spots on the globe lay claim to being the origin of human civilization, my paper will argue the Ethiopia deserves such a title. PERSONAL CAR: Personal cars are used as the primary mode of transportation in Lagos. Although the city’s main thoroughfares are in good repair, a significant portion of the secondary and minor roads are unpaved. For this reason, expatriates commonly purchase large cars or SUVs. Roads are marked in English but signage is inconsistent, and traffic laws are not always obeyed. Traffic congestion due to overcrowding is a significant issue in Lagos, especially on and around the few bridges that connect the city 's most popular neighborhoods and commercial centers. Commuters should expect to pay road tolls.
