The price of college is a big factor when looking at colleges. Two main things students look for in a college is the education and the price. All schools differ in the pricing of their content. That includes books, dorm, facilities, price per semester, and much more. Community colleges eliminate a big chunk of the typical college expenses. If a student is looking for a great inexpensive education, attending a two year colleges is the choice to make. Saving money throughout college is a very beneficial thing to do. College is the transitioning point from a child to an adult in most cases. In today’s era, money a big factor in a human's everyday life. With no money there's no way to pay for food or find a place to live. Attending a four year university can be tens of thousands of dollars. In the long run, the more money saved or well spent, the better chance for an easier life. Most high school students are required to go to college if they want to be successful in life. S. D. Kingsley and Noelle Vance, authors of the article, "Point: Public College Tuition Should Be Free, Just Like High School", explain how college should be free if it is a necessity for a successful life. Kingsley and Vance provide the statistic, “More than 90% of high school students expect to at least start college; 70% expect to earn a degree”(par.10). If 90% of the population of high school students are required to enter a college, colleges should be free or at least they should be way cheaper. Although community colleges are school that are not free, their prices are drastically different than universities. Statistics show that college tuition has increased dramatically in the past few years. Daniel Casse and Bruno V. Manno, authors of the article "The Cost and Price of College and the Value of Higher Education", provide statistics that show the increase in tuition. Casse
