Auburndale High School is creating an extraordinary environment that inspires greatness in our student athletes through the leadership and support of the coaching staff, training facilities, and proper equipment within our interscholastic programs. We strive to empower our students with the values of respect and accountability through the participation in State Championship level athletic programs while experiencing the value of ethical teamwork and sportsmanship.

The PS 119 school located in Brooklyn, the student's enrollment 440. The mission of this school “ is to foster within students the abilities and self-confidence essential to develop academic and social skills by providing students with comprehensive programs implemented by highly skilled, nurturing professionals dedicated to excellence in education.” The neighborhood school is an active and diverse community. Also, PS 119 has several partnerships such as Ballet Tech, The NY Aquarium, St. Joseph’s College, Haitian Counsel, Police department, Chess-in-the-Schools which providing students with extra help in professional development. The Vision/Mission statement of Myers Middle School is directly in line with the vision and mission statements of the Savannah-Chatham County school district. I am interested in working as a second grade teacher at South Row Elementary School for many reasons. After reading the mission statement I strongly believe that my educational philosophy matches the districts vision for their students. The small student population, as well as, the different sections of faculty allows for strong teacher to student relationships and opportunities for collaboration amongst faculty members.

Currently, I am student teaching at Alfred E. Zampella PS #27 School in the district of Jersey City. The school is located in a busy city, next to John F. Kennedy St. which is especially busy in the morning and during rush hour. This results in several late students on a day to day basis. On the other hand, this school is also highly accessible and as a little over a thousand students. The school has grade levels from kindergarten to 8th grade, and has a mix of general, special, and inclusion education classrooms. Typically, families that enroll their students into this school are of lower-middle socio-economic class, and tend to be majority Hispanic, Indian, and African American, with few Caucasians and Asians. This school provides a variety of special programs for their ESL students and special need students. Students may be offered speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, ESL programs, reading recovery, and counseling.

Famous businessperson once said “To succeed, one must be creative and persistent.” This fits perfectly to the mindset of Peninsula Catholic High School because they every year find new ways to get creative with the material along with staying persistent with some things. The balance is perfect to lead a student to a bright future. Peninsula Catholic High School did an amazing job on preparing me for my college experience by having more challenging material than other high schools, having wonderful teachers willing to go the extra mile to assist you, and showing me the importance of having respect.

Vance Matthews: I am from Marina, California where I attended Monte Vista Christian High School. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school that I decided to push myself so that I could get into a four year college. I shot-gunned my applications, applying to twenty two universities. When looking into Tufts, the passionate students and professors, and the varied programs the school offered, aligned with what I wanted in a school. Now, I can’t believe that I am a rising sophomore. My friends say I am an anomaly because my interests are extremely varied and I’m involved with so many activities. At Tufts, I’ve been mostly involved with the Institute for Global Leadership’s EPIIC program on Russia, and the ALLIES Civilian-Military organization.

As an early childhood educator, my mission is to encourage, inspire, support and motivate students while providing a fun, safe, and affectionate environment which builds friendships and lays the foundation for students to become life-long learners.

I attended Mercy Catholic High school for my first two years of high school, but because I saw my mother struggling to pay for my tuition, I decided to attend a public school for my last two years. When I graduated I received the gold merit scholarship at Coppin State University. I decided to take advantage of the summer program that it offered called the Summer Academic Success Program, SASA. Through this program I began taking rigorous college courses immediately after high school graduation. I earned a 4.0 and 7 college credits during SASA.

I am interested in working as a Third Grade Teacher at Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary, for Durango School District 9-R, because we share valuable goals such as providing innovative education and instilling the love of learning to encourage children to become life-long learners. I have experience with primary and intermediate grade levels and I would enjoy teaching in a third grade classroom. I would like to teach for Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary, because I would enjoy being part of a school which values community and student growth through closing the achievement gap.

Anita Satterlee defines a missions statement as follows: “A mission statement is like an introductory paragraph: it lets the reader know where the writer is going” (Satterlee, 2013).

One area of the South Burlington High School Mission Statement is “inspiring lifelong learning.” I can confidently say that I am inspired to pursue lifelong learning. I believe knowledge is the key to success, no matter what how each individual chose to continue their lives. Even the basic skills in life require some knowledge in order to be achieved. I believe that tutoring others was an experience that demonstrates the inspiration of learning. Because the students were pursuing help in education which shows their yearn for learning. I would like to briefly go over my high school situation, school accomplishments, and some of the qualities I feel that I have, to hopefully clarify and enhance my application. The high school that I have been to for the past three years is called Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts. Because of its smaller size, there isn’t a large variety of classes similar to what you would find in an average public high school. This made it impossible for me to enroll in AP or IB classes. Also, the school only had a couple concurrent enrollment classes we could take without going to the local university. While the school lacked these types of certified classes, they still offered many good honors classes, and performing arts based classes in which
