Romeo and Juliet Who Is to Blame

Romeo and Juliet were two young people from feuding families, who fell in love. Their love was so strong, that they ended up dying for each other. The ironic twist at the end of the story surprised many who had read it. But who is to blame for this tragedy? Many characters in this play could be to blame. We believe that some of the characters to blame are Capulet, Friar Lawrence, plus Romeo and Juliet themselves.

In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, the Nurse, by her thoughtless support of the affair between the lovers and fickle counsel, is partly to blame for the tragedy. However, it is not one factor alone that brings about the death of Romeo and Juliet, but a combination of significant actions and underlying forces.

During the party, act 1 scene 4, Mercutio tries to get Romeo to go dance on the party floor. During this time Romeo spots Juliet, only now leading the whole story onward. If Mercutio didn’t get Romeo to go dance and meet Juliet they would have never been married and would have never died. Although Mercutio managed to play another big art in act 3 scene 1 lines 60-65 is when Mercutio gets killed. Since Romeo is very loyal to his best friend Mercutio he now fights back against Tybalt an ends up killing him. Which now again leads Romeo to leave the city to only come back to find Juliet ‘dead’ so in depression he kills himself, when Juliet wakes up she is also extremely sad and find no point in life and kills herself. Mercutio plays the biggest part of the Romeo and Juliet tragedy because if it wasn’t for him Romeo and Juliet would have not met and there wouldn’t have been a Romeo and

Whenever a problem occurs, there is always someone to take the blame, whether it be a war between two countries or an argument between siblings. In the play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, it is no different. This story shows tragedy after tragedy and focuses on the tragic events that led the lovers to their deaths. However, there is much controversy surrounding who is to blame for the tragedies that took place. Some say that their families caused the deaths, while others say their counselor and mentor, Friar lawrence, is to blame since he married the two despite the potential consequences. Based on the facts, Romeo is to blame for all the tragedies that took place. Romeo acted infatuatedly, vengefully, and impulsively throughout this play, causing him to produce many tragedies along the way.

In Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare explores the tragic story of two star-crossed lovers. Set in the Northern Italian cities of Verona and Mantua, tells the story of Romeo and Juliet and their love for each other, even though their families are enemies. For generations the Capulets and Montagues have been at each others necks over everything, but this does not stop the two star-crossed lovers. Meeting one another at a masquerade ball and falling in love overnight. These two lovers do countless things behind their parents back and keep numerous amounts of secrets from their loved ones. Making multiple decisions without thinking of the consequences leads them to their tragic ending. So,

It was a war in which resulted in many deaths; the Capulets and the Montagues. These parties created such turmoil for the opposing; and so as many would assume to be associated with or worse invested romantically with the other ‘team’ was seen as taboo! It was never done before but then there was Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. They ran into each other in a way that seemed almost as if the stars arranged. The two kids became infatuated with each other unaware of the others last name. Once both Romeo and Juliet became conscious of the others title they would do all they must to be together even if the last resort was death.

‘For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction’: this statement, made by Isaac Newton, holds truth not only in science, but in the real world. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the blame of the deaths of two lovers can be put on many. However, “some shall be pardoned and some punishèd” in this case. For the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, the feud is to blame for being the cause of the problems, as well as Capulet, for controlling and forcing his opinions on his daughter.

Everyone has someone they blame for something that happens, who is the real one to blame for this fault? Most people blame the wrong people. But in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet the blame lies with the family feud because it creates unnecessary conflicts.

In the play of Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, many characters and situations have been blamed by its tragic ending. Therefore, the young ‘star crossed’ lovers action’s were the responsible for this unexpected incident. Romeo’s and Juliet’s acts of disobedience, and impulsivity carried them to their death gradually.

Have you ever fallen in love with someone whom your parents don’t really like? Did you have to go behind their backs to go out with that person? That is what happened to Romeo and Juliet. Even though there are a lot of people to blame in the play “Romeo and Juliet”, most people think that Romeo, Juliet, and Tybalt are the most to blame.

Who is to Blame? “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in the stars/ But in ourselves, that we are underlinings” (Cassius Act 1, Sc 2, 140-141). The play, Romeo and Juliet, by playwright William Shakespeare implies that the death of Romeo and Juliet is caused by fate; however fate is not the killer.

Romeo and Juliet was a Shakespearean tragedy, but who or what is to blame for this tragedy of Romeo and Juliet? Many things could be blamed, it could have been Romeos rashness in their relationship which caused their fate to be one of death, and it could have been the secrecy from their families that caused everything. There are many different things it could have been and many different people that could have caused the tragedy. One thing that shows very clearly to be the cause of the tragedy is fear. Fear is the reason that the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet occurred.

To blame someone means you accuse someone for an action that occurred and assign responsibility for a fault or wrong that happened. In some cases, who to blame is a simple answer. In other cases, it is extremely difficult to hold someone accountable, when in fact there are multiple people who are at fault. In the case of Romeo and Juliet, countless people add to the tragedy that grew throughout the story. Although, the main person who is at fault for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, is Friar Lawrence.

Is the feud between the two wealthiest families the one to blame for the tragic ending? In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet play we find that two star crossed lovers have found love with each other. They come from two different families that cannot manage to get along with one another. William Shakespeare uses many characters to present how much the Montagues and the Capulets despise each other.

Have you ever been in a situation of life or deaths? Or have you even been so in love that you are willing to die for someone if they’re not close to your side? Once again we come back to Romeo and Juliet's love and their consequences. There actions made everyone and Verona have a certain guilt for their loved ones loss. Even though that everyone might have a guilt in this story the main person to blame is Romeo for the following reasons; his impulsiveness and for not thinking things before acting.
