It is easier for manager to understand the relational model than put all data in one table. Besides, a relational database allows tables to be linked. And the linkage reduces data redundancy and allows data to be organized more logically. In a word, relational database is easier to control, more flexible, and more intuitive than approaches.

Relational database affects my daily life because I use at work all the time. I started to work as a caregiver and I have to have many fields for many occasions, for example I need to do a table for her food and have breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner as her fields to identify what she will be her choices in having that day. Then I will have another table for her medicine that she needs to drink at a certain time. Clearly, I have used relational database daily. Since 1960 and beyond the need for an efficient data management and retrieval of data has always been an issue due to the growing need in business and academia. To resolve these issues a number of databases models have been created. Relational databases allow data storage, retrieval and manipulation using a standard Structured Query Language (SQL). Until now, relational databases were an optimal enterprise storage choice. However, with an increase in growth of stored and analyzed data, relational databases have displayed a variety of limitations. The limitations of scalability, storage and efficiency of queries due to the large volumes of data [1] [2].

Some of the challenges faced by relational databases were the mismatch that resulted when transforming graphs into tables. On the other hand, when a database was needed only for simples tasks like logging, the relational database had too much more than what was required. Web applications have many different types of attributes which does not fit easily into a relational database, which makes it a burden to handle. For example, videos, text and source code are different types of attributes from the web, which have to be stored in various tables if relational databases are used, because of its strict schema. Qualities like these, make RDBMS, a not-so-wise choice to handle blogs and other web applications.
