The diversity of nonprofit organizations, services provided and the problems faced shows that nonprofits require leadership with an in-depth understanding of the multifaceted nonprofit landscape. Understanding the culture of nonprofit work is also crucial and much easier to understand once you have been through a nonprofit management program. My career interests lead me towards an avocation of a deeper knowledge of strategic management/planning, legal structure and standards, increase my skills in quantitative analysis of policy, financial governance and developing fundraising strategies. These areas allow for macro management within the nonprofit
I would like to focus on one non-profit organization that has been doing very well in the recent years. The name of the organization is St Jude Research Hospital, which deals with the cure and treatment of children suffering from catastrophic diseases. In the five decades, it has been operational, the mortality rate has gradually reduced therefore saving lots of lives. St Jude started its operations in 1962. To ensure that my program evaluation is objective, credible and fair I would employ internal and external counselors or advisors as well as align my program evaluation with the standards and practices of the professional body of evaluators. These “advisors “may or may not include the program stakeholders, but would not negate the formal process of collaborating with key stakeholders. Rather, the purpose of my advisor team is to see and hear things I missed.

I have chosen to analyze an organization that has helped millions of individuals in Utah and Idaho with their healthcare needs, Intermountain Healthcare, (IHC). For the specific purposes of this paper I will be representing the homecare department of IHC, located in Ogden, Utah. The individual I have selected to analyze is the branch manager who is over the Ogden branch. I have selected this organization and leader as I had the opportunity to work for this company for over 3 years. I have a high level of insight and personal experience that I can bring to this paper which I feel is very advantageous. I hope to learn how to improve the organizational performance of this branch by analyzing previous management and leadership methods.

Although medication can manage HTN appropriately, lifestyle modifications make a substantial difference as well. However, many patients go through behavior stages in which he or she contemplate on making the necessary changes to improve their health. One solution to the problem is the development of an educational Hypertension Intervention and Follow-Up program (HIFP). Studies have shown that active educational interventions that incorporate small groups are more effective than passive delivery of educational materials (Pimenta, Caldiera, & Mamede,
I am choosing to write summative projective-wide evaluation plan; which looks at the short-term to long-term outcomes of an intervention on the target group. This evaluations will look at information such as community needs, activities and or services, desired results, indicators, method of measurement, type of instrument, minimum level of success, steps, etc. The evaluation will analyse the process and outcome of the program. The evaluation will also discuss the goals and how they are measured. What are the measurement tools you would use? I chose to evaluate the Peace Domestic Violence Agency which is located in the Portland metropolitan area working with families affected by domestic abuse.

For instance, in a nonprofit organization, there is a “continual struggle to pursue vital social missions in the face of
Providing the funds for the program budget are currently the responsibility of OMA itself, relying on fundraising efforts and nominal fees collected from facilities and families of participants. There are organizational restrictions that prevent the ASC from providing further funding and allocating additional time and personnel. Evidence collected on client experiences is lacking, and data that has been collected has not been analyzed or maintained in a database. This is a potential future threat as many funding agencies need to see program evaluation frameworks and evidence that the program is meeting its intended

The reliance on research data to improve outcomes on every area of the organization requires means that it is important to critique such studies and ensure that their assumptions, concepts, and conclusions are valid, reliable, and relevant.
