Imagine being abused everyday of your life with no say whatsoever in what happens to you and it seems as if no one can hear you scream. This is what many animals go through every day as the numbers of animal cruelty cases rise every day and it seems like everyone is just turning their heads to the problem. The only way to fix this problem is to take action and give animals the voice they have needed. Animals have been taken advantage of since the dawn of man when man developed tools to kill the animals that led to the extinction of some species. Animals for centuries have been victims of a horrible case of cruelty with the criminals being humans. Millions of animals are used in experiments each year to test for possible side effects that could happen in humans while using the product. This causes some issues because humans and animals are not exactly the same so they can react differently to some products which leads to the pointless deaths of thousands of animals each year. Animal tests do not reliably predict results in human beings 94 percent of drugs that pass animal tests fail in human clinical trials. Animals for medical experimentation can be burned, shocked, poisoned, isolated, starved, addicted to drugs, and brain-damaged. The government did release a set of laws to protect animals from testing, but around 95 percent of animals used for testing are not covered including mice, fish and birds. Animals are also often subjected to many cases of domestic abuse within
Animal Cruelty is a problem that many ignore. People are oblivious to these animals and the negligence their owners show. Animal cruelty is an underlying problem in today’s society, and the only way to counteract these problems, is for this generation to do something about it.
Animal testing has been one of the issues that people are fighting overtime because of its moral. Even though some results of tests are successful on people, many people are still fighting for the animal’s rights. They believe that animals should have their own rights to live a free life where they belong, just like their species. In scientists point of view, animals have been one of the main subjects to test on, but a lot of them are currently looking forward to use and develop alternatives for the cruel act of animal testing.
Every 60 seconds an animal is abused. Dogs, cats, horses, and many other types of animals are being neglected and tortured everyday, yet resulting in few and minor consequences for the perpetrators. Animal abuse is prevalent in the United States and has been an ongoing issue since the 1970's, and prior to. Society as a whole has chosen to avoid the facts and arguments about animal cruelty, because to some it is seen as acceptable and typical. It becomes much more frowned upon when people actually see the results of the cruelty, especially in the media.
Why would anyone abuse an animal? Animal abuse is rather common, you could be doing it even if you don’t think you are. There are many animals that deal with abuse or neglect, about 1,423 animals a year. That’s in the U.S. alone. Animals are living creatures, just like you, and they’re not cheap. Neglect is another version of abuse, and it can come in many forms. Neglect could be starving them, not giving them medical care, not paying attention to them, etc, etc. Animals are just like humans, I mean, sure they can’t make their own meals, and they can’t drive a car, but that doesn’t mean they have fewer rights than you do. If an animal is abused or neglected the animal will be taken and the owner should be charged. If someone abuses an
Many people enjoy companionship with their animals; however, according to the American Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), “every 60 seconds, another animal is abused.” Animals are often neglected in ways such as improper feeding, dog fighting, cockfighting, and being bred in puppy mills. In order to end animal abuse, people need to be enlightened about the multiple ways animals can be abused. Awareness of activities surrounding animal abuse will help decreases animal abuse. Education is of utmost importance in preventing animal abuse.
The Animal Bill of Rights are laws that provide animals with rights to protect them and their dignity. Over the years there's been quite a controversy whether if animals should be given rights and a curiosity about their capabilities and if it's enough for them to be guaranteed the rights that a human has. Although it has been proven that animals indeed to have feelings and knowledge to their existence and even causes and effects of life or death, many people in the US still don't agree that animals should have rights. Many of the people who don't agree are more curious as to what would happen and the lengths these rights would go for animals and how it would affect the lives of humans. They laugh at the fact that these rights could possibly apply to all animals even the smallest ones when it shouldn't be a matter of humor. I think the real reason they laugh is because they're afraid of what these animals can do that could possibly outsmart humans in any way. These animals have suffered for years and they finally get to shine and their abuse finally comes to light and more people are realizing the inhumane acts these poor animals go through.

Imagine being thrown in cage, beaten, starved or forced to do something for no reason… other than someone else’s entertainment. We have all seen those ASPCA commercials showing depressing pictures of beaten and starved animals asking for help, yet animal cruelty/abuse is still a major problem. Even though on average, 1,920 animal cruelty cases are reported in the media each year, thousands of cases are unreported or unnoticed by the public (Animal Cruelty Facts and Stats). Regardless of animal cruelty being a felony which can result in jail time and thousands of dollars in fines, it is still something which occurs on a daily basis across the United States and it needs to be addressed in affective ways.
Your unwitting response only proves how adamant you are to twist and bend the rules to your convenience. The rules clearly state that "the tenant will ALSO be notified", with no further stipulation indicating that said notification is to further be forwarded by the owner of the unit. Also, VERBAL complaints are invalid, as you have stated numerous times, whenever we have addresses our own concerns with other dogs/people in the building. Therefore, you are purposely suppressing the rights we are entitled to, which is absolutely ridiculous and indicative of your personal agenda to attack, harass and discriminate against us, for no reason; which is a clear violation of the regulations set forth by the FHA, not to mention a violation of the IDFPR oath you are supposed to uphold as a licensed community association manager.
I'm sure you’ve seen all of those ad T.V. commercials with all the cute, sad animals? The ones that usually make you tear up and act emotional? Well those ads are very important because animal abuse/animal cruelty is still going on. Even as you've read the past couple sentences, about 39 animals have died. Animal cruelty is a huge problem NOT just in the US but also in the whole world from circuses to science labs, horse racing, and even movies. Most of us have pets we consider family and would never harm. Although there are many Americans that abuse their pets many of us find this very heartbreaking, but we may become hypocrites when we don't pay attention to animal violence against a animal that is not ours or even
Over the centuries, animals have suffered from cruelty from humans. In the United States, animals are beaten, neglected, or forced to struggle for survival. Animals have been inflicted with pain from humans for reasons other than self-defense. They have been slaughtered for their food and fur for personal gain in profit. In a majority of cases they have even been abused for someone’s own personal amusement or out of rage filled impulses. In some cases animals are found and rescued. They are given the second chance in life to experience what life should be like compared to what they once had.
The act of animal abuse across the US is increasing dramatically without great punishment. Animal abuse is defined as “acts of violence or neglect perpetrated against animals” (Petfinder). The act of animal abuse is currently punished with a “Three Strikes Law” which gives a felony charge and twenty-five year to a full life sentence if convicted of animal abuse three times. This law should be extended to first time abusers. The penalty should not only be extended for those accused of animal cruelty, but the government should work harder to encourage people to foster animals to keep them off of the streets and out of the shelters. People should increase their actions to protect the safety of domesticated animals.
Rain falling loudly through the holes of the tin roof splashing on Shadow’s face, while the animals were sleeping. Locked up to a chain, can hardly move, along with another dog named, Benji. They are in an extremely small space. Moving the wrong way could cause a serious injury due to the nails drilled in from the outside. In this small, dangerous cage there is no water as the bowl is overturned. These animals have matted fur, even through the coat, spine and ribs could easily be felt. Shadow’s chain has become embedded in his neck. These animals are victims of animal cruelty. Many companies, like McDonalds, lie about what actually goes on at their farms. “Free range” “Cruelty free” “Killed in a humane way” Those are just some the things that consumers are told and believe everyday. Saying thank you to the animal before munching on its flesh and bones doesn’t excuse what happens to them. The abuse and torture animals go through at factory farms isn’t fair and needs to be stopped immediately.
