I landed my two feet out of the cruise boat, Carnival Sensation to the deck heading to a wonderful beautiful place, the Bahamas. I realized that this was going to be the trip of a lifetime. The second I stepped off the cruise boat I could feel the blazing hot sun on my back as I thirst for cool refreshing water. It was hundred degrees and I couldn’t wait for the wonderful refreshing dip at the beach. As we landed in Freeport, Bahamas, the first thing I saw from my miniature cluttered window was the gorgeous white sand and the clear crystal water of the Bahamas. As I stepped out of the cruise boat leading to the ground I could hear the sound of people yelling, trying to sell shirts and souvenirs to make money. As my family walked down the dusty dirt path with small shops on either side of the road, people were going up to us wanting us to buy shirts and take tours. As we passed all the people we were afraid, but we just kept walking. As we kept walking I could hear the sound of the ocean getting closer and closer with each step I took. …show more content…
As I put my foot into the white sand I saw all the people joining in the ocean to plunge in the pure blue water. As I was running to the ocean I could see my feet sinking in the sizzling sand with each step I took. I could feel the burning sun beating down on me. As I jumped in the water I felt that sense of cold that made me feel refreshed. I could see everything the water was so clear. I could see all the rainbow fish and the little creatures that live in the sea swarming around
I had always had an idea of what a cruise ship was like, but had never had the chance to experience anything like it before. That is, until last summer. Last summer, I got to experience a cruise in Puerto Rico with my family. I knew that this was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and so I wanted to make the most of it. I was not aware of the memories that I would get from this trip to keep forever.
Have you ever gone far away from the place you call home? To a whole new country that isn’t connected by land to your own country? Doing such is an experience that everyone will remember, especially their first time travelling to another country. In 2011, I went with my family on a spring break vacation to the Bahamas. We didn’t only just go to the Bahamas, but did so in style on a cruise ship. I was lucky enough to visit the largest island, New Providence. Nassau is the capital city and center of the Bahamas offering everything the Bahamas have to offer. While on this trip, I got to experience a new culture, new locations, and new activities that I have never before done.
We waited for a long dreadful, hot, 25 minutes until we finally got on the boat. I stepped on and immediately felt the boat bobbing up and down. I went down the stairs into the lower portion of the boat and chose a seat. You could see everything that was there. You could see the wood from the dock, you could see the moss underwater, the tadpoles, the other fish, the coral in the distance. Everything underwater, you could see. It was so pretty. I could feel the vibration under my feet as the boat moved forward, I could hear the oohs and aahhhs of the little children when they saw the fish. I could taste the salty sea air. And I could feel the piece of paper in my hand that listed all of the fish that we might see during the ride. Soon, I got seasick and had to sit on the top portion of the
My vacation 2015 was amazing, my friends and I went to the Bahamas. The first thing we did was get our hotel room, it was so beautiful. The beds had bed spreads covered in flowers, pink, blue, orange, and red. Our room had a amazing view on the beach and we couldn’t wait to jump in it. The water was so blue, cold, and the way it glowed in the light like a diamond. When we got in the water we instantly started to have the time of our lives, dunking each other, playing chicken, and hanging in the water. Then next day we went to this spa, and it smelled so fruity. It reminded you of a fruit salad mixed with a summer breeze. We wished our vacation was more than three days, but it was ok we made that last day count. So, we hit the beach one last
It was a nice sunny day on the beach in the Bahamas. There was a nice, calm breeze and there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. In the distance there were other islands and boats, and a giant building. It looked like a picture out of a magazine.
When I was stepping on to the concrete of the port, I was so glad I got off that rocky ferry boat. I was getting sea sick after an hour during the ride, which was an hour and a half. I remember the being 90 degrees out and I was sweating in 2 minutes. The air was so fresh, and the view of the whole island had breathtaking views. There were mountains in the background. There was also a town that was going up on the mountains. I didn’t know what the town was named but it was small like downtown Linden.
I started to drift off--far off. I pictured the massive ocean back on Earth, where I saw the white water on the sea of drab green. I felt the wind blowing, my hair bowing, as it made its sound in my ears, as I tasted the salt spray from the waves crashing on the breakers, as I inhaled deeply. I pondered. The distant horizon was disturbed by the occasional sailboat. I pictured an oil tanker on the horizon. The taste of the salt air intensified, as I thought about it longer. The seagull standing in air, as it looked down for a new meal. I felt the sun's rays as it momentarily broke through the partly cloudy sky. I became entranced by my imagination as I listened to the repetitive sound of the waves breaking on the beach. I see footprints
Some would say, Bahamas is a beautiful place to go on a Family vacation. The weather, people and climate made it the perfect choice for my families’ Spring vacation. I was 11 years old at the time and I was excited after hearing the news about this vacation because it would be my first ride on an airplane as well as my first time out of the U.S. This would be the most unforgettable vacation I’ve ever been on.
We ran into the ocean and sat in the kayak. We had gone pretty far out into the ocean. I could smell the slimy seaweed. The coolness of the ocean water up against my face felt relaxing. I was in my happy place. The sun was shimmering down on us, making the ocean shine, like a sea full of diamonds.
As i stepped out onto the sand I could feel the warm sand between my toes and i could hear the blue waves crashing onto the shore. The are was filled with the saltiness of the water and you could feel the cold refreshing breeze blowing into your face. The sky was a bright neon-blue with fluffy white clouds. You could see dark green clumps of seaweed being brought up to the shore by the waves. Then my dad yelled,”Hurry up we have to find a good spot.”
Until the waves crashed against my ankles, the cold yet refreshing water sent me into shock, which reassured me for than anything else that my family could retreat to its original form similar to the waves retreating back to the ocean and be together for a day and spend time together in harmony, no arguments, no facades, and no disruptions. It was real and that’s all I ever
Slipping into the mineral full sea; I feel a little bit cooler. As I try to sink myself in the unsinkable sea, I push myself closer to shore. I then float over to the deeper area, thinking what could be under my feet. I know there are no sharks in this sea, nor fish to nibble on my feet, for no plant or animal is able to live in such a high concentration of salt and minerals. I feel a bit uncomfortable in the Dead Sea, but I get used to it. After about five minutes on my back I feel comfortable enough to plunge my legs under the water. Bobbing up and down, I feel like a bobber on a fishing rod! The water is so still that when I bob, there are ripples in the sea! The dark blue water makes waves all around me. It looks so
As we approached the Sundiver I was kind of nervous. As I set my stuff under my seat my dad said “lets go up to the top of the boat.” As I got up I could see the vast ocean with crystal clear water.
It was a misty morning right above the ocean’s surface. My brother’s head, along with seven others, was bobbing in the waves and obscured by the morning haze. The sun had just broken the horizon and emitted its luminous rays of scarlet red, orange, and pink underneath the clouds. Beyond the clouds was the sky, an endless pool of blue. I felt like I had jumped into a picture of a brochure. Subsequently, reality came back to me and I no longer felt pleasant emotions from the scenery.
Outside of the boat, the salty smell of ocean water and chocolate and strawberry frozen yogurt ( My all time favorite) breezed through the air. The was a small breeze as the waves brushed through it as I gazed into the water. My toes were tingling as I walk on the wood floor on the 12th deck of a carnival cruise ship. I was enjoying my time on the boat with lots of friends and family. We have been on this exact cruise in the previous years so we have experience of where everything is.
