Say I was old enough, I want my mom and step dad to buy me a brand new car. In fact, One of the main obvious reasons my mom should get me a new car is… It’ll save money in the long run to not have to fix it all the time, when it breaks down. It will probably also last longer, unless I total it but I’ll be a safe driver. I promise. For example, If I have a brand new car I will fit in with all of the other kids. I can drive all my friends around in my super cool car. Y’all would be the absolute best. It would be super great to drive around in. Another example, You know how you’re always complaining about drive me around? Well complain no more, I could drive myself. I would be able to get places without your help. I wouldn’t need you too. The most outstanding moment of my life so far is when i got my first car.It was a cool March morning in Pensacola Florida.I had my drivers test at eight thirty in the morning at the DMV on W street. As i got to the DMV ,we checked in for my appointment we had made.Soon the instructor came out and told me it was my turn.As nervous but as ready as i could be,i followed him out to my car. After he checked to make sure all safety requirement were checked,i began my test. All i could remember was what my parents had told me.¨If you pass your drivers test you will get a car.¨.When i finished my test,i had only missed 9 points. So i went back into the DMV and took my picture for my license. On my way back home my mom said ¨we have something for you.¨.As
During our first run Taylor and I noticed that the car was turning way to the left. So in order to fix this we started our car as far to the right of the track as possible. After our first trials we realized that we needed to fix our string. We needed to cut the string we had attached off of our car and make a new one. When we made a new one me made it a little bit longer than the car and only hot glued it to the hook, not to the frame. Our new string had a loop in the end of it so we could put that on the toothpick. So now we understood that the toothpick did have a real purpose and we couldn’t glue the string to the mousetrap. After we made these changes we ran our car three more times.
One of the most important events that happened in my life was just recently, and that was buying my second car. This thought process was in the making for quite a while, considering that I was getting tired of taking my silver Hyundai Elantra in the garage every four months for repairs. For that reason, it made sense that it was time for a new car or a used one, I did not care which all I cared about was that it had to be a manual transmission. In addition, the fact that I outright hate going car shopping, I put it off and off until this past January. Since my mom had surgery that month, she was home and could go car shopping for me, well searching on the computer shopping. Since she was doing that, I did not have to worry about it and she knew what I wanted for a car.
Opening my eyes, I look over to my paper thin tv for the time, noticing that I still have 30 mins till I have to get up I doze off into a soft sleep. Awaking from the blaring noise of my alarm I get up to brush my teeth. As I walk over to the wash bowl, where we wash our hands and brush our teeth, I reach over to grab my toothbrush off it's charger. As I was brushing my teeth, I noticed that it was almost time for me to leave for school. I searched around my closet for a shirt and some jeggings, my usual wardrobe for school, I head towards my broke in tennis shoes. Heading downstairs, I grab my computer holder and my headphones and head for school.
At sixteen, I received my first job, and by the age of seventeen, I purchased my first car. While the car was only worth about $200.00, I gave the seller $1200.00. Along with overpaying, the car did not have a title of ownership. When I first purchased this car, I had the understanding with the seller that the vehicle had a salvage title, but only a bill of sell was given with the car. However, this was still not my worst experience with this automobile. From the inside to the outside, to under the hood, and even on paper, this car was an illegally procured nightmare.
At the age of 17 all I could think about was having a car. However, I understood that owning a car, I would be required to have a job. This would allow me to pay for insurance, gas and maintenance issues. I also understood buying a car required me to have a driver license. After taking all the necessary steps to purchase my first car. The very first car I bought was a “lemon”.
Two years ago i was with my friend and his dad raced down at peoria speedway, and right after we unloaded the car he has a hauler so you can get on top of it. We heard commotion behind us and there was two white cars pulled up and two girls got out of the cars and they started fighting like pulling out their hair. I thought that it was hilarious probably 10 minutes into the fight the girl gets back in her car and tries to run the girl over. The girl that almost got ran over she punched a hole in the driver's side window and tries to pull her out. So the cops get there and both girls are in their own car and the officer is talking to the girl in the car behind the first car while she is talking to her the first girl spins her tires and she drives
It was the summer before college around February. When I got my first car, a 2001 Honda Civic This car was something special to me because not only was it my first car but it has yet to break down on me. I've had a little issues here and there, but it gets me where I need to go. One day I went over to my dads to get my brakes fixed and I had the perfect breaks afterwards. But it wasn't installed 100% correctly. On one of my front brakes he forgot to put a brake pad in between the rotaries and the metal. So it was being chewed out because metal was rubbing against metal. The sound of the metals rubbing together was like a cannonball being scraped on concrete. So about a month after the excruciating noise I decided to stop by tires plus to
In my heart, I knew it couldn’t be true, but they all said she was dead. I was at her funeral and everyone told me to move on, but I couldn’t. It didn’t feel right.
A day that I won’t forget is the day I got my driver license. What made it so great is the fact that I could go do what I wanted whenever I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about my parents being right by my side the whole time. I was always making up reasons just to leave the house and get out and drive around, but of course I had to pay for my own gas. It didn’t bother me though. My first vehicle was a ford ranger, wasn’t my favorite, but it worked.
In life we go through many changes and for that instance it is the same situation with my car. During the 1 year that I had my car many things stayed the same, however some changes have been made. Some of the changes were major and some were minor. I take a really good care of my car and throughout my experience with my car I think it looks really good. I have spent a lot of money on it but it was worth it. This is my project car so there is a lot of progress already done to the way I want it to look and perform, but still far away from being fully done.
I started up my car, just like any other normal day. Just a normal day I told myself, a normal day. I forgot the gift I bought for Lindsey, which I had been meaning to give her, but she hadn’t been to work for a couple days. I quickly hopped out and grabbed it. It was a T-Shirt of her favorite band, Green Day. As the traffic sauntered along at the normal traffic jam pace, acting like they had nowhere to be, my hands grew sweaty and my stomach twisted into knots. My hand slipped as I was turning and I almost lost control of the car. Just a normal day. I tried looking in the glove compartment for a couple smokes before work, but found my gun. The power such a small thing contained. The ability to take someone’s life, silence them forever. It felt too powerful. That’s why I have to carry one. We all carry one, but so do they.
As I was on my way to work today, the car in front of me, suddenly made a stop for no reason. I was on the left lane, and there was truck on the right lane so I couldn’t switch lanes. Instead, I made a sharp turn on to the opposite lane, there wasn’t any cars. That was the dumbest thing that I had ever done, as driving on the opposite lane a car was driving real fast my direction. I stepped on the gas pedal so I could speed up and get back on my regular lane, but the driver that had suddenly stopped decided to step on the gas too. So, as I’m speeding up trying to switch lanes this guy isn’t letting me and the guy that’s heading my way is real close to colliding with me. At this point I’m scared, now I have two choices either I risk it speed
The car ride over was one of the longest I have ever been in, answering questions and looking out of the window of the beat up red Honda truck. "How long has this been going on?" he asked "Since my mother died when I was five" I replied my voice thick with anxiety. We pulled into the drive way and he walked me to the door, sticking as lose to me as he could get. As we walked through the door and into the cramped living room I froze. Fear radiating off of me like heat from the sun, I tiptoed to my room Max following suit, careful not to wake up the sleeping giant. I should have known he would have ditched work that day. I ran in, packed up my things and we ran out. We peeled out of the driveway so fast my dad wouldn't have had the time to register
Creating a model race car for a competition in the past against my peers in tech class, I had to design a car that would be faster than my competitors. I designed a car that I thought was superior to all, I would disregard any advice given to me to improve the design of the car because I strongly believed that my design was the most aerodynamic and would travel the fastest. I was so focused and confident in my design that I did not realize that my car’s overall weight was to heavy, causing me to lose the race. The same goes for John Hammond, he believed that Jurassic Park would be a success and nothing could possibly go wrong in the creation of it, when in fact it did go wrong. John Hammond was so focused and greedy to make money off the park
