Paper Tigers Documentary Analysis

Short essay section. I chose to answer questions # 1, 5, and 7 in the study guide.

Write a 1,050 to 1,400 word paper addressing each of the six questions at the end of this assignment.

This can be done by having a two way relationship with parents for example parent’s evenings, this is when staff discusses children’s progress open days so parents can come in be welcomed and look around their child’s school or nursery. There can be coffee mornings, sharing information or just giving feedback to parents when they pick their child up from school at the end of the day.

Today I will be talking about is the documentary Paper Tigers. The term paper tigers mean that a person may seem like they are threatening, but they are not at all. This documentary followed various students of all grades at Lincoln High Alternative School and teachers. This showed us what each student was dealing with and why they reacted in a certain way. Paper Tigers was a great documentary to me because it showed something that most people do not see all the time. This showed me how these students deal with raw emotions. How much these kids just want someone that would care/love them and show them some compassion. They want someone to be there for them when they need someone because the people they are around now are giving them no support.

Points:  5 questions at 40 points each for 200 points for 25% of your grade (all will be sliding scale).

I live in a rural community named Brockton, or as some like to call us “Broketown.” I have lived in Brockton for 12 unconsecutive years. Brockton is a small community, but we are publicly exploited for violence and crime. Brockton is full of influential and hard working people and not everyone gets to see this positive side of Brockton. As someone that lives in Brockton, I know how hard it is to set goals and actually have the support needed to accomplish them. Brockton has a bad reputation because of the negativity that is dispersed about Brockton resident. Brockton kids are tainted with this image that we’re all disrespectful and low achievers. I want to break that mold. I want to diminish the stereotype that Brockton kids don’t amount to great things.

Tigers are a very interesting animal but are also very dangerous . also along with their habitat ,what they eat and how they hunt .read on to find out about tigers.

     Next is quality time spent bonding with children. There is never too much time to have with children. The time spent is precious and never should be wasted. This time helps the parents to understand the child so they can grow closer and have a better relationship. Plying games, talking, or taking a walk is part of quality time. Giving this time shows to them that parents care and have an interest in what they do and think. Quality time helps bring parents and children together.
