Organizing Function of Management
The second of the four basic management activities is organizing. By setting up and implementing the correct organization form or structure for their size and their people, a company can fulfill its purpose and make the necessary profit to continue, or even to excel. These structures will more than likely change over time as the company grows and changes, but this is the nature of the beast' and what most of Corporate America have come to expect.
The most efficient way to set up a structure for organization and management is to evaluate their employees and utilize the strengths of some to make up for the weaknesses of others. They will find that by making sure that everyone is able to do their job,

We are in the process of restructuring the production end of this system, and completely eliminating other areas. However, nothing has been set in stone yet, and the wheels of progress definitely turn slow. Even in a company the size of Brian's.
Human Resources
As so much time has been spent on the other areas I spoke of, no system has ever really been put into place for human resources. The human resources department consists of one person, who is also the bookkeeper. When an application comes in, it goes to her and she sorts out the one who just do not have the qualifications we need. She then calls and sets up interviews for these people. From this point, it is a bit of a jumble, but typically it hits the same basics. The candidate speaks to the manager of the area looking for personnel, and usually approves or disapproves of him/her on the spot. Then the ball goes back into the bookkeeper court and she sends them for a drug test, issues an employment packet, and a timeport that will record their hours for payroll. This same one woman is also our benefits coordinator, accountant, bookkeeper, office manager, and any other projects that come down the pike that the receptionist is unable to handle.
Again, this is an outdated system, which is extremely unfair to the girl Friday'. At this time, this structure works without an overly stressful amount of workload on her. It will not be

According to Chester Barnard, “Organizing is a function by which the concern is able to define the role positions, the jobs related and the co- ordination between authority and responsibility. Hence, a manager always has to organize in order to get results. A manager performs organizing function with the help of following steps:-
Organizing: this is the management function of gathering and coordinating the different systems and departments to function properly and benefit the financial situation of the organization.
To accomplish the goals outlined during the planning phase managers need to link employees, responsibilities, and resources together through organisation. Henri Fayol stated that “To organize a business is to provide it with everything useful or its functioning i.e. raw material, tools, capital and personnel’s”.
Structure is the basis through which an organization seeks to create control the direction of an organization. This is completed through clear definitions of the allocation of work, differentiation, and the coordination of having those responsibilities working together towards the efforts of the organization, integration (Bolman & Deal, 1993, pp). Through these methods, the organization is able to devise a division of labor that collaborates to bring about the missions and goals of an organization. The structure that comes about from this can be varied in their rigidness and flexibility it allows, and to an extent this is a great contribution to its success.
In their organizing tasks they have to build a structure of working relationships between all of the members in the organization, that best allows them to work together and attain goals.
SNOP is the Systematized Nomenclature of Pathology. Published by the American College of Pathologists, it has been “useful in classifying pathological specimens” (McWay, 2008). Although SNOP was commonly used in pathology departments, it has gradually lost favor because focus was placed on standardized nomenclatures by accrediting agencies (McWay, 2008).
Set and analyze the policies and procedures to structure a management framework, which support efficient production. In order to create an effective organization, I arrange all personnel into functional groups, such as Finance, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales and Human Resources. Align each group’s performance goals with the company’s strategic objectives.
Organizing is structuring the resources to achieve organizational goals. The textbook The Essentials of Contemporary Management-Sixth Edition focuses primarily on the human aspect of organizational resources. Leading is articulating a clear vision and energizing and enabling organizational members so they can understand the part they play in achieving organizational goals. Lastly, controlling is evaluating how well an organization is achieving its goals and taking action to maintain or improve performance.

Effective organizational structures define how job tasks are subdivided, grouped, coordinated, and managed. Six key components of organizational structures include division of labor, departmentalization, chain of command, span of control, centralization, and formalization (Remme, Jones, Van der Heijden, & De Bono, 2008, p. 79). Each element influence how employees interact with each other to reach organizational goals. Different structures are common in similar organizations among high performing organizations (Reimann, 1974, p. 707). The most appropriate structure will depend on the unique needs and culture of the organization.
Organizational structure is a formal relationship between management and the employees. It is a way to motivate the employees and get them to working. It is also away to get employees to follow the company goals, and work together as a team. To make an organization work they need to have an organized structure to be able to run the company. “Management is the planning, organizing, leading, and controlling of mankind and other resources to achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively (University, p 4 2011)”. The greatest achievement of an organization is to provide goods and services that customer’s value. The managerial department of an organization has the power to determine the performance of the employee’s, which directly affects the quality of the service or product that is being supplied to the customer. “Managerial tasks are essential for effective management, which involves planning, organizing, leading, and controlling (University, p 6 2011)”. Planning is the process of identifying the suitable goals of an organization and how they will be implemented in the company. Organizing is the procedure that determines the departments of an organization. When departments have been established the next step is to decide who will work best at a particular job. The development of organization inside a business will form the organizational structure for the company. “Leading is the ability to inspire and organize individuals to work as a team to complete the goals of the business in an efficient and effective manner (University, p 9 2011)”. Controlling is being able to assess the procedures of a company and eliminate or change any strategy plans that are not showing high- performance levels. Controlling may consist of monitoring
The HR manager first posts openings on bulletin board. They provide information about the job for example they provide positions, locations, pay rates, qualifications etc. Thus they encourage employees to apply for the posts. Then the employees nominate themselves if they are interested in being considered for an opening.
Organizational structure is definitely a must have in an organization. Organizational structure is designed to form and develop clear lines of order to control an organization getting the best use of the organizations resources. According to Mahmud Hasan, some advantages of organization structure are that is easier to control the resources and they can be rationed and allocated to different units to use them at their more productive use at a micro level. Another advantage would be that clearly defined reporting lines make it easy for employees to know whom to report to while reducing redundancies by eliminating extra or unproductive processes. Other advantages are to streamline processes by giving them more focus and adoptive nature, reduce cost because the controlling of various cost control centers are controlled at micro level. Lastly, another advantage is it will help reduce cost because the controlling of various cost control centers are collected at micro level (Hasan, 2010).
