Firstly, each person’s experience with starting school is different. For me school has always been a second home to me. I like learning and experiencing new things that the school has to offer. I can honestly say that I have gained lifelong friends from my school years, as well as learned few things from the teachers. I find that what you learn and gain from going to school will always stay with you for the rest of your adult life. You reflect back and know when and where that particular skills or knowledge was learned.

As a result of several motivational purposes, there are many driving factors to go to college that can and will impact one’s life. Before going to college, I waited 2 ½ years after I graduated high school to finally make my decision to go to college. The reason it took me so long is that I did not know what I wanted to do with my life. First, I wanted to be a probation officer, then I changed my mind to be an OBGYN, then finally I made the decision to become a nurse. I know I have a long road of schooling ahead of me, but that is okay. I have wonderful people in my life that encourage me to continue my studies. Going to college is important since it can open many opportunities to get into a better career field, it is a fun experience, and it can also start a tradition in my family.

Remembering how school was for me always makes me think of my mother. I never wanted to leave the house, as she was severely ill. I never wanted to leave for long periods of time. I would always think the worst in the back of my mind, What if? What if she needed a drink of water and was unable to get it? What if she had an episode and was unable to get to the phone? What if the worst was to happen and I got back home to my mother not ever being there. This was a challenge for me daily. School was all right and all, I did enjoy going to school with my sister every morning. I savored the time I was able to spend with my friends. I also greatly enjoyed learning, it always seemed to be fairly easy. I ended up earning my GED my Sophomore year because

I believe college is very important I interviewed my mom, she didn’t go to college and she says she wishes she did, “ I wanted to go but we didn’t have enough money”. I asked her why she thinks people need college and this is what she said, “You need college to be more successful and to be prepared for life and mentally.” Some people may not have gone to college for any reason but they probably wanted to go. College is also good and important because you meet new people and you make new friends, also you get closer to your family. One more reason is because you earn more money. You also get to grow as a person and mentally. But an even better thing is you have a bigger chance of always having a job and losing it and you have a bigger chance of changing the world maybe with a little or big thing you do.

I have always struggled with school in every aspect. I was a C- student most of my school career. I did not know how to balance my time or how to even do well in school. I got my act together my sophomore year by staying after school mostly each day to get the topics we were learning. Now I am an honor roll student. Also, I have a lot of difficulties trying to understand and do math since I was in middle school. I went through a lot of special classes so I could get extra support. I am a senior now in a regular math class passing all my test and having an A+.

It is not surprising that for most people unacquainted with the word, WebQuest sounds pretty much like the usual aged internet research done by almost everyone today. WebQuest can be defined as question-oriented lecture format where all or most of the information that students work with are website-based. Even its very definition does not differ so much from the common internet research notion. Nonetheless, there are certain distinct differences that separate WebQuests from the common internet research. So what’s the process involved in creating one?

Learn what you want, when you want and how you want without the unnecessary stresses of the traditional high school setting. When I asked my parents to consider a virtual high school I remember them telling me that it was ludicrous for me to think this is an option. After they talked through the options with the Manhattan Virtual Academy they agreed that it was worth a shot. When I compare and contrast virtual/online high school to traditional high school generally speaking, I think that virtual/online high school is better. When you compare the curriculum, the setting and the pace of the two high schools you can see the similarities and the differences that make it more worthwhile to attend a virtual high school.

Online students need a person who monitors them during exams, we call this person a (proctor). Proctoring means that someone else follows you and watching your device when you are solving your test questions to ensure that all the methods you used are legitimate and permitted. UoPeople requires proctored exams to make sure that the student is the same person who has been accepted at the university, and to ensure that the students don't cheating during the exam, maybe there are a different reasons specific to the university's policy we don't know.

At the start of every morning most people begin to plan their day accordingly based off the amount of work they have to do. To narrow it down it is a to-do list of the most imperative chores, swarmed with work and responsibilities. Students tend to have hectic days teemed with the responsibilities they have to do, especially if they are involved in after-school clubs or athletic teams. A typical day is when they wake up promptly to catch their bus or ride to arrive at school at an earlier time; 7:30. Go through their school day getting all their assignments they have to get done for the next day, yet for some still make time accordingly for their after-school priorities. After successfully finishing all the responsibilities, a student needs to prioritize their time for homework and studying. Time goes by profusely within the blink of an eye. As a college student my perspective stands extremely steady, continue arriving to school at the early hour, 7:30 am, so that a student can learn responsibility, time management and stay proactive.

First, there is the fact that schools can only teach so many classes. This is becoming more distinct to many students across America, as budget cuts have eliminated some classes from a student’s choices. With the way that things are going now, I can predict that my high school career will not be as successful as it could be. I already spend a lot of class time doing one of two things; stressing about the current class or another one, or staring at a wall and willing boring classes to be over. Having to do that for the next three and a half years sounds like a nightmare. There is a solution, though: online schooling. While I understand your worries about online school, I ask that you continue reading and try to really think about what I’m saying.

The first reason why this online school is a bad idea is because students will never meet their peers face-to-face. Which causes the problem for students to not develop the social skills they need for their education. They will have trouble with talking to a person and having a conversation with them. The reason why students need social skills is because when they grow up looking for a job they will need to know how to talk in an interview and have a normal conversation with their boss. Managers are looking for people to work with and talk to. There are even some jobs where it requires to provide customer service and have a discussion with people. That is why social skills are important to a student and why online school will damage this.

I believe that doing something differently than others doesn’t mean that what you are doing is wrong. What the others are doing isn’t always right. I know this seems like a very obvious belief, but sometimes it can get tricky. You’re probably thinking, “how?” Well, I’ve faced this issue of doing my own thing before, and I didn’t realize that what the other people were doing was wrong until recently.

I believe that textbooks should be used in the classroom and for assignments because not everyone have internet access or a computer. Most people like to have access to the textbook to highlight key points, and write about a topic to get a better understanding on what the textbook is talking about. Some textbooks may be high in cost, but its good to have them.

Do you know what your kids are doing online? Parents should be aware of what their children are doing online, in order to avoid any risk of their children seeing inappropriate things or getting involved in things they shouldn’t. If parents are not aware of what their children are doing online, then their children might become victims of the internet. Parents need to be taking note of what their kids are doing on the internet so that their children don’t fall into the awaiting ‘hands’ of a predator.
