Ever since I was young, I had always thought anyone could go to college, that college was the next step after high school. Although this is technically true, there are people that cannot go to college like other students. Whether it is because of money or conflicts within the family, there are some people that never got the chance to have a higher level of education.

As a result of several motivational purposes, there are many driving factors to go to college that can and will impact one’s life. Before going to college, I waited 2 ½ years after I graduated high school to finally make my decision to go to college. The reason it took me so long is that I did not know what I wanted to do with my life. First, I wanted to be a probation officer, then I changed my mind to be an OBGYN, then finally I made the decision to become a nurse. I know I have a long road of schooling ahead of me, but that is okay. I have wonderful people in my life that encourage me to continue my studies. Going to college is important since it can open many opportunities to get into a better career field, it is a fun experience, and it can also start a tradition in my family.

Should I go to college? You might have asked yourself this question before, and maybe you were right now. Going to college begins a new chapter in your life, it is the beginning of new friendships, networking connections, and most importantly, opportunities for self-improvement and professional growth. Entering college, you will be introduced to new areas of interest, broaden your perspective and vision of possibilities, establish and accomplish goals, develop lasting friendships and define yourself in ways that you had never imagined. College education is the only way to ensure financial stability and some wealth in your future.

The main reasons why I chose to go to college was, get better education for myself, be a role model for my children and to earn my degree to get a high paying job.

For me going to college was a thoughtful process nevertheless here I am writing this essay in college.

College is awesome in many different ways. When you are in college, you have the independence and freedom to do anything that you would like to do. Another good thing about college is the variety of courses that different colleges offer, and also chance to focus on what you really want to do as a career. Although all colleges are different, they all have to same goal. To help and to see students become successful.

Going to college was always an important aspect to me. Coming from a home where the highest level of education was a GED, making something of myself has been a substantial goal that I’ve always yearned. Is there too much pressure on teenagers to go to college? we’ve all heard teachers, parents and a lot of other people say when you get out of high school, you should go to college and get a degree, so you can get a good paying job and not have to worry about bills, money and so on. From the start, I knew that going to college was essential. Constantly, my parents would express to me the importance of getting a college education along with asking me what I wanted to do with my future or what it was I wanted to major in. My personal experience becoming an online student was overwhelming at first. I’ll start with a brief background about what lead me to become an online student. I’m married nineteen years, and chose not to have children so, my home life is a simple one. I found my career later in life which required becoming certified to become a manager. After completing the certification courses online, I was required to complete twelve college credits to become eligible to take an exam to become Nationally Certified as a Director of Activities in Long Term care.
