The waves were ruthless, piercing the boats wall moment after moment with as it continued on its treacherous journey across the ocean. The small boat was fighting its way across the water. Lightning hit the horizon again and again, lighting up the sky as if it were daytime. The storm was never ending, like it was spellbound to sink the boat. Yet, the night storm went on, and into the painfully slow night. I woke up, drenched in sweat, gasping for air, but in the safe comfort of my bed. It was a normal day on the calm ocean, and I was still on the adventure I began yesterday. Yet, I was already having nightmares of what could come. I went to check my location. “Latitude: -7.21111, Longitude: -176.11580”, or north east of Australia. “Crap” I …show more content…
But, just suitable to make it up this incline. Once I got to the top of the rocky cliffside, I decided to get a view of the wildlife around me, there was a great array of trees and flowers, some species I had never seen. The wildlife was calling to me, asking me to explore it. However, some trees looked like they were ravaged, mutilated with no care of the surrounding terrain. I didn’t think of it much at the moment, but the trees and the fog should have been a clear indicator of the message “Stay Away, Danger!” I set up the tent, and decided to chew on a meal, which I haven’t had all morning as I was too thrilled to adventure the …show more content…
I was just far enough to see the location and shape of the dragon, but not close enough for it to be a potential threat. It was kind of beautiful, seeing it sleep peacefully, an irony of what happened earlier in the day. It had many sides, a violent side, which I did not like very much, and a peaceful side. A bird flew in the sky, soaring on the updraft that was caused by the mountain. It was hard to view in the fog but it had a little fish in its mouth, probably heading to its family somewhere nearby. SMASH! It hit a tree branch and fell onto the ground, next to the dragon. Nearby birds flew up, knowing something that I did not. The familiar earthquake returned, and the dragon began moving. It moved, and took the bird in its mouth, it ate in such an oddly human way that sent chills down my spine. But it gave an idea to my brain, use a bird as bait. I can then steal the egg, and become known as the first person to find evidence of dragons! It was a genius idea, for someone who was not very good at
Right." Two meagre hands on his chest and a push sent the man flying from the window, screams coming from his lips as he fell. With a satisfying crunch, his body crumpled into nothing beneath him. "Gladys! Feel free to finish him." An sage coloured dragon swooped down to the ground with a loud and menacing roar. It's crimson wings beat together as it lurched at the inert body beneath it. The dragon showed jagged, ivory teeth protruding from it's snarling mouth ready to devour its
The sun’s rays radiate off the deck of a small yacht drifting in the middle of the ocean. Like a photograph from a magazine, the sea is crystal clear. Even though this area is at least 30 metres deep, you can see the coral reef down below the glistening surface. It smells of salty warm air, and the only sound for miles is the water lapping up against the sides of the boat, as if it were gulping mouthfuls of air. If you were looking at this scene, you probably wouldn’t notice anything was wrong. The only question is, where’s the crew? If someone stood very quietly on the deck of the ship and listened very hard, they might hear a soft clunking sound. The problem is, this is not the perfect scene you may think it is. In fact, it’s actually the aftermath of a rather terrible event.
A HUGE deafening roar came from the cave. Smoke followed and the sound of heavy, scaly feet. Thestral screamed, ran and tripped. Everything went dark. He woke to find the Dragon dead, his own sword stuck in its brain.
It had a thick and large body, on the end of its tail was a hook-like extension. It had a long and powerful limbs, each foot was massive and I could see two large wings flapping madly with the gust of wind. Faintly, I could see four rows of bony plates, plates that ran down its back and this dragon had a narrow-shaped head. Swallowing hard, I saw it had nostrils that were close together. A mane of bony spikes sprouted from the back of its neck. It winked at me, glimmering and golden eyes. A single horn projected from its chin. Loudly, nostrils flared lout and smoke billowed in the cold
For the rest of the night, the memory of the Dragon destroying my family kept replaying in my head. I was terrified for tomorrow. The night passed by quickly and morning was here. Piper was sitting on a log, examining the book.
the monster walking his way; Titus the bushes with his hands to get a better look. it was, big, green, and looking mean. The dragon raised his head and looked in the owl’s direction. His long wrinkled
I was at my nanas and papas lakehouse on a beautiful 4th of July day. On my way down to the lakefront, I saw this large, fatty, blue-gray bird setting on this old rotting wooden bench. I wanted to take a picture of the bird sitting on the bench. I took many pictures and every picture I got closer and closer to the bird. I was scared that it was going to fly at me if I keep getting closer to it, but it was chilling calmly looking at me.
Kevin screamed “Watch out” Garret had served out of the way and landed in the ditch. There were bird feathers everywhere. Garrett and Kevin had wandered around to find the bird but couldn't. They walk for a good hour before the found the bird and by now it was very dark out but it was only 1:00 PM. Garrett looked up in the sky and screamed.
After they completed the task of killing Groug the Goblin they set off in his lair to go find the wings. After of about two days of looking they came across a very dark room in the bottom of the mountain. They investigated this cave and sure enough about one hour later they came across the ancient golden and diamond wings of an owl.
On the rubber dingy fear coursed thought my blood. I held tightly onto Yara as we were pushed and pulled as more and more people tried to fit onto the boat. I could see Mama and Papa amongst the crowd gathered on the shore. The silent tears streaked down my eyes. This was the last time I may see them. Through the black night they were faintly illuminated by the flickering light, amid a crowd of strangers anxious to escape. The small engine roared to life and the small dingy lurched forward, escaping into the endless darkness that lay ahead.
Mordecai sat at the dinner table quietly reading the newspaper. That was until the paper burst into flames in his hands. He sighed and rolled his eyes before calmly tossing the paper into the sink and turning on the faucet as if he’d done it a hundred times. He then turned to focus his attention on the producer of the flame. On his chair perched a dragon about the same size as a house cat. It had shimmering aqua scales and a tiny horn hooked up at the bottom of it’s snout. The dragon flared its wings, excited to finally be noticed. Mordecai couldn’t help but smile at the joyful little reptile.
It smiled at me, and that’s what sent my skin boiling. It smiled as if it had been exposed, but didn’t care. It wasn’t afraid. Five horns were on its head versus two, one eye versus a pair, and large spikes were on its back as tall as a mountain. The speed he traveled at made him invisible. Five puncture holes violated me from my cheek down to my thigh. I looked up to see that he was gone and screamed at a pitch I never knew my voice could reach.
I couldn't tell if I was dreaming any more. All the past nights were blended into a collage of questions. As always I was in the old blue pickup but this time I was the driver. In the blazing desert on the small highway. I was approaching the roadmark, I was about to wake up. I heard the whoosh of wings, this is when I should wake up. But this time I didn't wake up, and the monster didn't stop chasing me. I waited for it to attack me but it didnt, it didnt do anything but fly. I must have been dreaming because I couldn't stop driving, and the road never ended. It was almost peaceful if it wasn't for the dragon.
He knew the place well and was able to see it now in the distance, as he soared closer to it. A was a big brown spot in the middle of a living, thriving green forest. When he got close enough to the gorge, without being seen by any of the she-devils in the witches clan, the dragon dropped from the sky into the thick green forest and
The forest was pure and clean, as though it had never been disturbed by man and his vicious life killing machines. Peacefully sleeping under the dark gray sky, the community of mighty timber had not a care in the world.
