Nick shared that they are working hard right now to make sure that their children stay grounded. He talked about taking them to Chuck E. Cheese.
"It's just such a normal existence but it's so chaotic and they love it. It was my favorite place to go growing up. My kids can one day be on a yacht in South Africa and the next moment just be embracing the play pen at Chuck E. Cheese, having fun. I think we're doing a fairly good job keeping them well-rounded, showing them the remarkable things in the world but also letting them understand that they're just normal 4-year-olds."

Lupus is a potentially life threatening disease that effects about 1.5 million Americans. Lupus can effect many different parts of the body. Lupus is a type of autoimmune system disorder in which the body cannot distinguish the difference between foreign antibodies and its own organs. So basically what happens is that the body ends up attacking its own organs thinking they are foreign substances. (The Lupus Foundation of America)
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that attacks women between the ages of 15 and 40. It occurs less often in men than in women. The people affected by lupus vary depending on the country or region. In the US alone, the prevalence rate is highest among Asians of Hawaii, blacks of Caribbean origin, and Native Americans of the Sioux, Arapahoe, and Crow tribes. Lupus is a disease that affects the immune system. We can think of the immune system as an army within the body with hundreds of defenders (known as antibodies). They defend the body from attack by germs and viruses. In lupus, however, the immune system becomes overactive and creates antibodies that attack healthy tissues in the body, such as: the skin, kidneys, lungs, heart and brain.
Reducing daily stress can help control lupus symptoms. “Today, physicians treat lupus using a wide variety of medicines, ranging in strength from mild to extremely strong. Prescribed medications will usually change during a person’s lifetime with lupus.” (Lupus Foundation of America). A rheumatologist, a doctor who specializes in diseases of the joints and muscles, usually treats people with lupus. If lupus has caused damage to a particular organ, other specialists will be consulted. a dermatologist for cutaneous lupus, a cardiologist for heart disease, a nephrologist for kidney disease, a neurologist who studies brain and nervous system disease, or a gastroenterologist for gastrointestinal tract disease. A woman with lupus who is thinking about possibly having a baby needs an obstetrician who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Once a person is diagnosed with lupus a doctor will set up a treatment plan. usually involving trying to reduce inflammation, suppressing the overactive immune system, reducing flares and treating them when they occur, and minimizing damage to any

More than 16,000 people are diagnosed with lupus each year. Everyone can get lupus but it’s mostly common in women and the specific type of women is African American women. Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease driven by the inflammation in the immune system. Women of color are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop lupus than a Caucasian women. 90 percent of the people diagnosed with lupus are young women. Black women are diagnosed at much higher rates and are more likely to experience complications from the disease. There should me more research done, they should spend more
Normally our body produces antibodies to protect against foreign antigens such as viruses and bacteria, lupus is unable to distinguish it will attack the antigens but also the healthy tissue. This will cause swelling, pain and tissue damage to joints, skin, kidney the heart and lungs. The cause of lupus is still unknown but some contributing factors are hormones, genetics, environment and medication. There is no cure for lupus only treatment for the symptoms caused by lupus.
Lupus “is predominantly a disease of young women (most commonly affecting women between the ages of 15–45) but can affect men as well” (Hughes & Sangle 2012). “Women of color (Asian and African American) are two to three times more likely to develop Lupus than Northern European women” (Hughes & Sangle 2012). It is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects many parts of the human body including the immune system, joints, skin, and organs within the body. Normally, the human body would produce proteins (antibodies) that protect the body from invaders such as viruses, bacteria and germs. In the human body afflicted with Lupus, the body becomes “autoimmune” and the body is unable to tell the difference between foreign invaders such as those named
A butterfly to many individuals may speak of love, trust, or opportunity yet to some a butterfly could speak of trouble, pain, and vacancy. The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the Georgia Council on Lupus Education and Awareness (GCLEA) partnered to increase community awareness on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and to further educate lupus patients throughout the underserved region of southwest Georgia. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, the most common form of lupus, is an autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack needed body tissues (“Lupus,” 2018). This specific type of lupus affects major functions of the body including the brain, lungs, skin, and kidneys. Lupus is commonly difficult to diagnose in humans due to its vague symptoms that mimic the symptoms of other major conditions (‘Lupus,” 2017). Presently, researchers are unaware of the origins

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease marked by its effect on various parts of the body, including the joints, skin, blood, and kidneys. It is a condition in which the body's immune system attacks its own cells and tissues, resulting in pain, inflammation, and often damage to organs. Lupus involves the immune system. The immune system makes antibodies that work to protect the body against foreign substances like viruses and bacteria. Such foreign bodies are called antigens. When a person has lupus, his or her body is unable to determine the difference between antigens and the individual's cells and body tissues. As such, the immune system creates antibodies against the individual's own tissues. These antibodies are called autoantibodies. Depending on the type of lupus, a wide range of symptoms may be experienced, from rashes, hair loss, and achy, swollen joints to fever, anemia, and abnormal blood clotting. Though the disease can affect many parts of the body, individuals usually experience symptoms in only a few organs. There is no known cure for lupus. However,
For most people, Lupus is a mild disease affecting only a few organs. For others, it may cause serious and even life-threatening problems. People with Lupus are recommended to have regular medical appointments and take medications as prescribed. One of the most frustrating things for a Lupus patient is being sick. A person can look nice and healthy although they feel very bad inside. Another challenge is that there are no treatments for the most common complaint of Lupus patients: fatigue and memory loss.
