1. Provide a short description of your high school experience. How have you grown/evolved from 9th grade to this point? List some of the highlights of your high school career. My high school experience has been filled with many challenges and amazing moments that have helped mold my character today. From failing my first essay and getting straight A’s, I have learned that anything is possible with a growth mindset. High school has taught me the importance of an hard work ethic and to push yourself in both sports/academics. My high school years have been filled with many fun activities from meeting new people and participating in sports that require teamwork. These experiences have helped me be able to work with others towards a common goal and to motivate not only myself but my team mates as well when things aren't going as planned. High school has been an amazing chapter of my life with accomplishments in my rigorous AP courses as well as in lacrosse that have greatly impacted the person I am today: diligent, affable, humble, responsible, and respectful. 2. If I asked a few teachers to describe you as a student, what do you think they would say? Provide one or two examples of this description. I see myself as a very compassionate and hard driven individual. I would think my teachers would agree with these traits since I respect all my teachers who work hard to educate the youth. I honor all my elders who spend their time and energy trying to help teach me. I show my
As a teacher, I will work to fully provide opportunities for authentic learning, where every child feels valued, safe and included. My goal will be to find occasions every day to nurture independent learning, along with peer support that promotes a sense of personal growth and achievement. I recognize that every child has strengths and weaknesses, special talents, and specific needs, regardless of individual challenges. My objective will be to model appropriate behavior and show acceptance of everyone
1. I consider myself an enthusiastic instructor; effective at providing quality instruction and fostering a positive and colorful learning environment for all students. I am mature and professional; who adapts to new situations and technologies with ease. Adept at lesson planning and classroom management, able to create fun learning stations for hands on learning. I have a huge passion for the arts, and enjoy spending a great deal of time on arts and crafts, teaching the students through coloring, and painting. Music is also a large part of my teaching; I love to teach my class using rhymes and songs to help grasp a concept or lesson.
Throughout highschool I have grown as a person. Three words I would use to describe myself as would be friendly, caring, and positive. My mom has always taught me to include everyone in everything. This is the main reason why I am so friendly. Whenever I see someone sitting alone at lunch, or even walking to class alone, I am the type of person to go up to them and talk to them to make sure they know they are always welcomed to join me. Two things I try to accomplish everyday are telling everyone good morning and giving everyone at least one complement. I love doing this because you never know when someone can be having a bad day and the one compliment you give them can change their whole day around. I would also say
My high school experience was overall a mixture of being scared and growing to become who I am today. When I was in my first years of high school, it was just high school nothing more. I had seen teachers as teachers and friends as friends. I just
My friends and colleagues would describe me as charismatic, nurturing, and with a strong desire to learn, all
To summarise, I believe myself to be a creative, hardworking, and moral student with a good work ethic, and I look forward to going into post-secondary education and the challenges
My classmates know me to do what is expected of me in a subject and that I understand and comprehend what is happening. In result to this they ask me questions about the assignment or topic. I enjoy to help my peers if the teacher is busy or stepped out of the room. They respect me and listen to my answers. If I can not answer their questions then I either recommend them to ask the teacher or another student.
When it comes to explaining what type of student I am, all teachers I’ve ever had would agree that I’m like a bag of trail mix. Overwhelmingly different elements that contradict while apart, but oddly operate well when together, construct my personality.
I feel that I am determined due to my success in the classroom and my willingness to continue it. I am caring because I take other people's feelings into consideration in all situations because it provides insight on their opinions and helps you elaborate on a solution better as well. I say that I am fun and outgoing because I love to smile, laugh and talk very much. I also love to make other people smile or laugh because it creates a sense of positivity and causes me to feel like an uplifting person, which is a quality I strive to possess
Over the past 4 years, I have taken in many life experiences, and quickly grown into an adult faster than I imagined. High School has taught me so many things; like knowledge, friendships, involvement, balance, learning from mistakes, and how to grow into the person I want to become. The lessons were taught from friends, family, teachers, and coaches. I would say that my high school experience was very different than most, but I wouldn't of traded it for the normal 4 years of high school for the world.
Throughout my high school years I have learned that growth comes from experience. Through mistakes you learn what not to do, through struggles you learn how to rise above, and through high school I have learned that hard work really does pay off. I have been an honor roll student for the entirety of my high school career which has led me to many opportunities
I think what I enjoyed the most is, since we’re kind of all stucked together, we have to work together a lot, whether that’s with teachers or students, if we have differences with each other, we have to figure a way to work things out, and it’s always nice to problem solve and get through those hard times. I feel like I’ve learned a lot about myself and really grown. I think high school has provided me with a lot of room to become who I am supposed to be.
The response that question one entailed was not consistent. All five had different philosophies before they entered the teaching profession. Third year teacher stated that all students would be motivated to learn and strive for higher grades. However, this did change due to students having low self-esteem issues that prohibit them from striving to excellence in their class work. Fifth year teacher views were to be portrayed as a hard-nosed strict teacher who would not tolerate nonsense in his class. However, his views change to being more open- minded and actually having fun with his students learning experiences. Tenth year teacher stated that she thought that she would only have to teach science the area of her expertise. However, her reality revealed that she would be challenged by mainstreaming students (physical, mental and or behavioral problem disabilities) and English as a Second Language (ESL). Fifteen year teacher views were that since she came from a family of teachers and her course work and work experience reveals her strength in various areas that she was ready to assume her duty as a teacher. However, she also had a reality check that showed how she was inadequate in assessing and grading students work. Also the diversity of students and multiple preparations is a continuous challenge. The twenty year teacher thought she would have
I have had many experiences that have made me who I am today. I began my education at the Pomona Kindergarten Learning Center, and then the Reeds Road Elementary School. This set the foundation for me to be a good student, and to serve my community. As I moved onto the Galloway Township Middle School, I tried many activities such as band, cross country, and the Think Day Team. In these activities, I made new friends and continued to learn about the world and how to become a better person. The scope of my life experiences broadened as I entered high school. I was surrounded by mostly new people and a different environment. I joined the academic team and math club and discovered more about what I like to do. Outside of school, I took on a job,
I have many great characteristics, such as my enthusiasm, and leadership. My enthusiasm will be very useful for not only me, but the entire classroom. I will encourage others to do their work. If one of my fellow students seems unhappy I’ll cheer them up. I love to see when everyone working together in order to help the group, especially when we are having fun doing.
