What truly is a hero and how do you know if they’re around you? A hero is not perfect. Let me tell you that, they are not always good, they don’t always make the best choices but that does not mean you aren’t a hero. There is a huge difference between a hero and MY hero. Someone could be a villain in your eyes, but in the eyes of another, they could be such a special person. Its all about where you stand and what you view a hero. To me, a hero is to be helpful and selfless. Maybe not always, people make mistakes and that’s okay but as long as you encourage and embrace the good deeds, that’s what matters. I think heroism shouldn’t be defined as a specific and small group of people. They should have a less defined definition so that everyone can get the chance to be a hero. Even the little deeds count.
To be a hero, you must be helpful, like the organization suicide hotline, and the children of Birmingham. Another trait that must be acquired is to always be selfless, Rosa Parks shows this quality and as the real life Seattle superhero, Phoenix Jones.
The children of Birmingham are helpful because they got involved and made a difference by marching for black civil rights. For example, Martin Luther King said in the video about the children of Birmingham, “don’t hold them back if they want to go to jail, for they are doing a job for America and for all.” The parents of the children thought it was a bad idea for them to get involved in the violence and segregation. Turns out, it was a favor to them what the children did. The effect of the children walking for miles on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama was inspirational. All because they wanted respect and equality. Two basic human right we have in our world now. Which if you think about it, was because of their help. Their stance towards the right direction led us to where we are now.
Also, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline organization is helpful because they are a support system for people who are thinking of/or will be committing suicide. For example, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline website says, “Suicide is not inevitable for anyone. By starting the conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent
Heroes come in different shapes, sizes, and looks. Maybe someone you saw on the street one day was heroic for saving someone’s life in a car accident. A hero to me is someone who can be brave in situations that aren’t so safe, and take a risk to make sure everyone is okay, no matter who
“A hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.” ~ Maya Angelou. Hero’s come from all different shapes, sizes, cultures, and ages. They don’t have any superpowers or special abilities, but the can reach the heart of others and inspire them with their stories. They grow out of their hardships or help others who have difficulty growing out of their own. Hero’s see everyone as like minded people, instead of focusing on each other’s differences. Three ideas that define a hero are humility, mindset, and selflessness.
To be considered a hero to me means you first have to act on what you believe in. Anyone could be a hero if they did deeds based on what others want them to do. Also all heros have to be loyal. If they aren’t loyal, then they could be playing you along. Could you trust them to protect you? Most importantly heros have to put others before themselves. Heros care more about others than risking their own lives. If they didn’t, you might not survive. Anyone who acquires all these traits would be considered a true
To me a hero is someone who is nice, kind, caring, open minded, confident, not afraid to help others and not a quitter.
To be a hero can can be defined in many ways. Heros are usually associated with courage, fearlessness, noble qualities, outstanding achievements, and a kind heart. These traits are what make up an ideal contributor to society helping those in need. The word hero can have a different meaning for cultures and religions. Osama Bin Laden may be considered a hero to the radical islams but he is a horrible human being to the rest of the world. It all depends on the views of the people.
There are many variations when definitions what is a hero. Some people think of a hero as being someone who is strong, intelligent, attractive, and daring others think of capes and superhuman powers. Typically our perception of a hero changes with maturity and life experiences. Heroes have many different qualities that can be overlooked such as honesty, patience, compassion, and forgiveness. Merriam Webster’s simple definition of a hero is a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities (cited).
What exactly is a hero? To some it’s a fictional character with a cape who possesses a special power that helps them do great things for others; and to others it a completely different story. To me, a hero is someone who has made a good difference on not just my life, but others as well and has inspired us to never give up, to better ourselves, and to try and live life to the fullest. For example, Josh Hamilton, he has made a big difference and has had a good impact on my life in probably every aspect you can think of and not only that, but he has shown me that you can always get back up and fight, you can always overcome your life’s obstacles, also he has shown me that you should always have your faith in the Lord.
What is a hero? A hero can be defined as many things to military people, first responders or simply just casual civilians walking about the streets it all comes to one thing. Three traits i think hero's have are people that are willing to stand up for others natural born leaders and brave people.all of these make a great hero that can be hidden inside of everybody weather they know it or not they could be a hero just waiting to see something then spring into action and release hero traits truthfully everybody can be a hero.
Being a hero is when you’re selfless, brave, and humble. Heroes are the characters that learn the most and do the most affective actions. There is always going to be a hero in every story, movie, or real life scenario. A hero doesn’t have to be the one who saves someone’s life or fights off evil and is always wearing a cape. A hero can be as simple as someone doing the right thing not for themselves but for the good of someone else.
A hero to me is somebody who goes out of their way to help others for the better. There is no better definition of a hero than anyone who works for good and never turns their back on those in need.
Heroism exists everywhere, despite the time period or occurrence. Many people believe that heroism can only be one concept or a certain type of person, but heroism is all around us in all shapes and forms. A hero is someone who helps people in some way. They can risk something, even their own lives. Heroes improve the world and make it a better place for at least one person, or they can prevent it from being even worse. However, a hero is not someone who is utterly evil or someone who sits around all day, doing nothing.
I believe that a hero is someone who never gives up, is selfless, always stays positive, and remains hopeful in the hardest of times to be hopeful in. They are kind to all they meet, no matter the person. They are brave when things get a little scary. They are willing to sacrifice whatever they have to make sure the job gets done, and they have confidence in doing it. They are role models in every aspect, and anybody who knows them would strive to be like them in any way possible.
When the word "hero" is spoken, everyone has different thoughts. Some will think of super powers like flying and saving people from villains; while others have a certain person they know or have heard of that come to mind who have done something to make a difference in the lives of others but who is a hero to you? To answer this question you must first ask yourself what a hero is; what comes to your mind when someone says the word. When I am confronted with these questions I always have the same thoughts; smart, strong will power, and someone who stands up for what they believe is right.
What does make a hero a hero? Is it there looks? Alternatively, maybe is it their personality? However, the question is what are those essential qualities that make one a hero? Different people require different heroes to look up to or try to emulate. However, whoever it may be, they all possess certain qualities. My hero is my mother, for the reason that she is selfless, compassion, and courage. That kind of selflessness can often be premeditated, since concentrating on others' needs often winds up helping one accomplish one’s own goals. However, a heroic leader does so without any anticipation of a return. The display and concern show the care one has for others. This can often apparent itself in strong but gentle actions planned to increase the lives of others. Courage and bravery come to mind first when we think of heroism. However, it is difficult to achieve anything truly heroic unless one is up against overwhelming chances. As Nelson Mandela put it, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." These minor acts of heroism rarely attract any notice. A true hero is always sympathetic, benevolent and shows a great deal of compassion and sympathy to those poorly or in agony. He or she keeps away judgements; that are oriented to the self and embraces an attitude that serves others.
The word “hero” is a small word with a big meaning. A hero is someone who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Depending on who your hero is, and what they do, show different characteristics. In numerous ways, my Uncle Clint is my personal hero. In my eyes, his characteristics are: courage, bravery, and selflessness. He is brave because he sacrificed his life to fight for our country. He rejoined the military when he did not have to, just to be able to serve his country, knowing he would be deployed. Most people would not want to risk their life, but my Uncle Clint did. He was willing to go fight and leave his family when others would not. He was hurt early on in his
