Engineering is the application of scientific, economic design and a wide range of other specialized fields of engineering. As an engineer, there are four major different areas of engineering work that I can concern about, that is chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Beyond this four, sources separate to other main branches. Based on the electrical engineering is concerned with the basic forms of energy that run the world, there is a hopeful future in taking this major as my direction of future. However, what exactly is the benefit of this major; am I suppose to choose this major; what kinds of job opportunities that I am able to get and various of other questions are what I concerned …show more content…
Compared with other majors, electrical engineering has more requirements on courses and credits. So, I tried to seek the main benefits from learning all of these courses. 'You gain a wide range of knowledge during your studies, electrical engineering is not one dimensional at all.' The Circuits and System are related with physical; Digital Logic Fundamentals is about mathematic; every basic study gives me a wide range of skills, for instance, from electronic transmit to programming. In the mean time, I am able to gain computer skills during the studies because computers are the only tool to run analysis and tweak components or electrical circuits. Consider that the modern world is run by computers, I am sure that having great computer skills will be the most advantage of having a job in the future.
The biggest benefit of having electrical engineering is surely the increase of the job opportunity. Although there are various of jobs are provided to the electrical engineers, the types and details of jobs are still unclear. As I mentioned earlier, electrical engineers are extremely versatile because the work can be related with many engineering disciplines or natural science disciplines. Not only that, but electrical engineers also pursue other fields such as medicine and law. 'A dynamic and rapidly changing field with career opportunities in variety of different systems.' According to the research, many areas and businesses are seeking
1) Investigate the engineering profession using the sources below. In a few sentences and using your OWN words, what is engineering?
Job roles: In work experience you will have a better view of how different engineering sectors work and what’s their role in engineering, that would help you to find yourself in that one you interested in and choosing your future career in engineering world.
So I did some research and found that, “Jobs added by 2020 would be a total of about 114,700 jobs.”(Explore the trades.com) This would help me by, a shoring that a job would be most likely available for me when I graduate, and I wouldn’t have to do a job I didn’t want to do! Which would tell me that I should really start trying things to prepare myself for this career of an electrician. More education I would need, I found on a website moreover said, “Make sure you take English seriously, because it’s needed in Blue prints and safety regulations” (BigFuture.CollegeBoard.com). This would help me with information, about how I would need to be able to be ready for when the time comes. Also this really great because, I currently have a (89.8) % in ELA. In a different find during research I found that, “Certain classes that are 4 years, and are in the special program created by the certain website will be free and or, at least 50% covered” (Learn.Org). This would help me save money, and get things easier when I would prerequisite them, and all I really care about is saving money, which would really help me in the long run! Also when you think about it since you would usually pay to take up to 4 years of classes, and you wouldn’t have to pay for it so, you would basically save up to (4) times as much money!!!!
Why you should consider becoming an electrician. An electrician gets to work with many tools and devices that help him do his job, in my opinion an electrician is under-rated, some people think that being an electrician is mainly working on a job site in buildings outside in the cold, I believe that is looking at the start of a electricians career, however ounce a person becomes a master electrician then they can work on much bigger projects such as wiring a space shuttle or inventing a new piece of technology. As well after earning the rank of a master electrician you can make much better money which will be enough to live comfortably while enjoying your work.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics states “Electronics engineers design and develop electronic equipment, such as broadcast and communications systems.” Before I realized that I wanted to become an electronics engineer, I had a lot of careers in my mind. One of these careers is joining the U.S. Air Force. I wanted to join the military because I can get many benefits from it. I do not have worry about my tuition and other school expenses. Until the time I took an electronics class during my senior year in high school, when I started to apprehend that being an engineer was my call to adventure. In the class, I learned many things such as the names of the small components being used on electronics and how they work. I also learned how to solder the small components and repair some basic electronics. The class even made me want to pursue more on becoming an electronics engineer. I enjoyed the class a lot, and helped me realized what I wanted to become in the
This field first became more known in the late nineteenth century. It was able to develop so much because of the commercialization of the electric telegraph and the electrical power supply. Electrical engineers mostly deal with power, optoelectronics, digital electronics, analog electronics, computer science, artificial intelligence, control systems, electronics, signal processing and telecommunications.
The reason why electrical engineering is a good idea for a major is from the increasing demand for individuals with these skills. This trend will continue well into the future. The primary factors that are driving the need for these talents are the focus on utilizing more technology solutions. ("Put Spark in Your Future")
I as an electrical engineer pursuing my master in electrical and electronic engineering developed a skill to solve the problem. During my bachelors, I studied natural and physical science and basic fundamentals that are required in the engineering field and also gained vast knowledge how to identify and tackle new problem in the practical world.
With so many careers in the world which one is most important? This is asked all the time, well it’s not about which one is most important because a lot of careers are important. It’s really about how much your career impacts the world. Electrical engineers have an impact on the world by what electrical engineers are a part of. They are responsible for anything that is electrical and that is a lot of things in the world today. The reasons they have an impact on the world because people expect the engineers to solve problems in finding another energy source to replace a source that is becoming scarce, to have other tools to help them with their task, to be quicker in making newer things to help advance the world to be high tech, how much
As the American dream is defined, a national ideal in which people have a lifelong goal that brings them prosperity, happiness, and or success, it starts with a plan of action that is most commonly taken after high school. For me, my American dream is to major in electrical engineering and to become an engineer at a big corporation so I can make a copious amount of money and be happy. In order for me to complete this mighty achievement, there are many actions I must take.
Personal Statement: Twenty years of education have brought me a deep appreciation for the study of the Power systems, Controls systems and Telecommunication. When the time came to specialize, my decision to major in Electrical Power Engineering was motivated by the hope of achieving a strong opportunity of creativity, research, and development. Electrical Engineering, with its myriad sub-domains and multi-faceted nature is a natural amalgamation that allows me to express my creativity and innovative power to bring about works that offer benefits to society. The tools and aims may be different, but designing and developing software/hardware or devising a novel mathematical proof is relatable to the work of artists in their shared spirit of creating. I view my decision to study Electrical Engineering as a natural means of fulfilling my need to create since it equips me with tools for the job: the ability to devise, test and evaluate Power systems and the programming knowledge required to implement them.
First things first, I chose electrical engineering as my career, mostly in my interest of computers and physics. As an electrical engineer I’ll design, develop, test, and maintain electrical and electronic devices; use computers and engineering software to
Take a look around yourself. What do you see? Maybe books, chairs, a television, or even your clothes. All the day to day things that are man-made, you can be sure that an engineer helped make it. Engineers have shaped our world as we know it. There are many different kinds of engineers from chemical, mechanical, textile, civil, agricultural and structural engineers. Our civilization would be as advanced as the Stone Age without these people. This career demands a wide education of math and science. It is an ever-changing career with new advances in materials and the way products are produced. Engineering careers are very secure with respect to compensation. Regardless of this, it does have it’s disadvantages
Engineering is an exciting field that I believe will be enjoyable, challenging, and above all, intuiting to undertake at university. I believe pursuing engineering means exceeding your expectations and making a
Classes that I will need to take in order to achieve my goal of being an electric engineer are courses in mathematics and physics. Math classes that I will need to take are calculus, algebra, and trigonometry (summary). My main interest is electrical engineering and all of these things do sounds quiet good, except the drop in employment rate in 2014, but my interest also lies in mechanical engineering which is not all too different.
