Early life Michael Jeffery Jordan was born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of Deloris who worked in banking and James R. Jordan, Sr., an equipment supervisor. His family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, when he was a toddler. Jordan has two older brothers, Larry Jordan and James R. Jordan, Jr., and one older sister Deloris and a younger sister Roslyn. Jordan is the fourth of five children. His older brother James retired in 2006 as the commander Sergeant Major of the 35th Signal Brigade of the XVIII Airborne Corps in the U.S. Army. NBA carrier Already in his first season was Michael Jordan a crowd favorite when he scored 28.2 points per game for Chicago bulls. Only a month later in the NBA came Jordan on the cover of newspaper sports illustrated with headline << A star is born>>. Jordan was as expected elected season All-Star game where several big stars in the NBA participated. Many of these stars were very tired of Michael Jordan and all the attention around him. Therefore the team froze him out during the game by refraining to centers the ball to him, but Jordan stated that this did not affect him much. Later that season, he was selected as this year's newcomer. 1985-1986 season was fairly destroyed for Jordan’s part since he had to be away from 64 of the 82 games because he had a broken foot, but he was battle ready for the start of the playoffs. In one game this season he scored 63 points and sat with it a new personal record. The following season Jordan scored over 3000 points. This resulted in that this season is one of Jordan's best. Jordan admitted this, but held at the same time that he had not been compulsive gambler. Later that same year Jordan announced that he would take a break from the basketball after his father had been murdered; news that shocked the spectators and the entire basketball community. The shock was no less when it was announced that Jordan would pursue a career in baseball. His career in baseball was not a great success, and at the start of 1995 he reported himself to continue with basketball. Jordan had a total of a career that spanned 15 seasons, where he played 13 of them for the Chicago Bulls and two for Washington Wizards. Jordan played positions point guard, shooting guard and small forward and is not only known for his physical strength, but also the mental. Jordan has many records in the NBA, including most points in a playoff game with 63 points, the highest average in points per game with 31.0 points and most top scorer tilter with 10. In addition, Jordan has been named the NBA's Most Valuable Player five times. During his 15 year career he scored 32,292 points. Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone have scored more points in the NBA
