Literature Review On Relationship Marketing

After reviewing some of important literature journals, I found some interesting concepts that relate to the concerned research topic. Some of the concepts are as follows:

• Relationship Marketing – According to Abeysekera and Kumaradeepan’s study in the year 2012, relationship marketing can be used as a strategy to race in the market. Relationship marketing has been operationalized using the model of trust and commitment. The findings suggest a significant difference in "relationship marketing orientation" in state bank and private bank. Private Banks can be viewed as concerned with more relationship marketing than state banks.
On the other hand, S K Das in the year 2012 contradicts this study and observes that relationship marketing is a progressing trend in today’s time but due certain reasons and hesitations like financial problems, danger of failure, marketing inertia, etc., many banks in today’s world are still following and implementing …show more content…

Based on the findings, it was concluded that banks should concentrate on improving the value perceptions of the customers by taking into concern the easy design of the services, service perspective and compatibility of the services delivered.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the earlier research that has been done has limitations that qualify our findings and present opportunities for further research. Not much research has been done about the need of CRM in improving the performance of banks and creating a better relationship with customers. For this reason, this research has been done so that more insights into the topic could be identified. Moreover, the earlier research done on this topic could be used as an important tool for further research.
