The Industrial Revolution was a period during which rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban. Before the Industrial Revolution manufacturing was often done in people’s homes, using handtools or basic machines. The revolution marked a shift to powerful special-purpose machinery. Factories and mass production. The iron and textile industries, along with the development of the steam engine, played big roles in the Industrial Revolution, which also saw improved systems of transportation, communication, and banking. Some advantages were the inventions like the steam engine which helped to streamline production of many goods. Along with making production forms more effective, the Industrial Revolution also resulted in dramatically lower prices for goods. This was due to the shortened amount of time needed to create products. Factories started to pop up all around during this time, which needed employees to run and manage them. This created big job growth and also gave the chance to new items and creations to be composed and delivered. With all of the new and innovative things that began to emerge out of this time period, people became more motivated and educated than over. This spurred a lot of useful inventions that are still widely used and pertinent in today’s modern world. Some of this include the light bulb, the telephone, and X-rays. All of the modern inventions and a number of riches that was brought into the urban areas enormously improved the way that individuals lived. Health care, education, appearance, and nutrition all began to get much more attention than previously. There was also a big advantage for people because between the 1850 and 1900 there was a big increase in pay/wage as it shows on the graph in Source #1. Source #1 also shows that as the pay/wage increased the life expectancy dropped a bit from 1850 to 1860 but after that, the life expectancy increased by a lot. One of the greatest innovations of this time was the assembly line. A large number of the world's natural resources were being used at a very high rate during this time in history. The Luddites were groups of people that were opposed to the technological changes during the Industrial Revolution. Some third world countries in places like Africa, have yet to experience an Industrial Revolution. The economic system, Capitalism, was created during this time. The steam engine, the light bulb, the telegraph, X- ray, the telephone, calculator, and anesthesia were all invented during the Industrial Revolution. In conclusion, the industrial revolution was a very big move from agriculture and farming. It had a huge impacted on the world with all the new inventions and the new jobs that people were getting. There were some bad impacts but the good overpowered the bad and made it one of the best and most important revolutions in the history of the
