My hero is a famous icon that almost everyone knows about. His name is Kobe Bryant and he played on the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe bryant was born on August 23,1978, he is known as one of the best NBA players. He cared a lot for his fans, he has also went through so much for his family, friends, himself, and his fans.
Kobe bryant was such a inspiration for me. So many people loved basketball but as soon as kobe hit the court, It was such a different era. Basketball became more competitive and more fun to watch.Kobe bryant even held open his own foundation to help kids in need, almost everyone looked up to him almost no one on any basketball team hated kobe. Some basketball players even looked up to him.Kobe first met me when he first started playing for the los angeles lakers, He was really nice and he even told me “not to give up on my dreams no matter how hard it is or how many obstacles you have to overcome”.A Lot of people don’t like kobe bryant because he played for the lakers but that does not mean you should always hate him like come on people don't really like lebron james but you should respect him anyways.

Not only Kobe has confidence but alongside he is selfless, he does not just care for himself he cares for the community and every other person he wants the best for every single person in the world. Kobe had so much hate on him but has he done about the hate nothing because he doesn't care if he gets respect, he cares who he should give it
One of the reasons people fell in love with Michael Jordan, aside from his skills, was his friendliness and openness. He would never boast of achievements nor put anyone down because they lacked skills. If anything, Jordan was hard on them in order to improve their skills and knowledge of the game so that they can outperform their past selves. He didn’t feel any entitlement to his superiority. He just worked extremely hard to achieve what he did.
Kobe admits that the success he has gained has come with many sacrifices. Thousands of hours were spent practicing dribbling, shooting, and playing defense so he could become a great player in the league like his father was. Refusing to play in his father’s shadow, it is without a doubt that we can say Kobe
Another quality that Michael Jordan has is that he is respectful to everybody. Michael Jordan has had a big impact in people because he is an icon for people. Michael Jordan is the inspiration of thousands of kids that want to learn how to play basketball. Michael Jordan has respect for the game and for his coach. Michael also gets respect from the other players on the team. Michael Jordan also treated his team mates with respect and that is why the Chicago Bulls played like a
First, a list of his accomplishments. Kobe was drafted out of highschool at the age of seventeen, broke into the league by winning the Slam Dunk contest in his rookie season, and by age of twenty-five he was a three time world champion. He was the youngest person to be named a NBA All-Star at the age of nineteen. The combination of his talents with the talents of Shaquille O’Neal was the greatest “one-two punch” of all time. That is an objective fact. Shaq himself has even admitted that had the duo stayed together after the 2004 season, they most certainly would have gone on to win additional world championships, but Kobe didn’t need Shaq. When it was all said and done, Kobe ended up with five rings to his name to O’Neals four - all five with the Lakers I might add.
Kobe Bryant. Is an important leader for a number of reasons. Firstly, through hard work and commitment, he was a member and leader of the LA Lakers. When he got drafted in 1996, and what benefited Kobe playing basketball in the NBA for 20 straight years.
Bryant was known as the Villain of the league because he was so fearless when it came to taking many shots including ones that were very important, such as game winning shot. Bryant was a player who did not mind confronting his teammates when they made mistakes on and off the court. In the article “Why Kobe Bryant is Basketball’s Comeback King” Steve McPherson explains how Kobe Bryant went 0 for 4 on the three point range and 4 for 10 on two point range in one of the important playoff game against the Utah Jazz. After the game Kobe Bryant stated “I would go 0-30 before I would go 0-9, 0-9 means you beat yourself, you psyched yourself out of the game” This quote encourages how Kobe is fearless of his failure or the critics and is more confident on his skills. Most of the players will reduce their attempts on shooting and look for passes after they miss shots consecutively. Although some people may say that Bryant is arrogant for taking reckless shots and he his selfish rather than being fearless. But that is not the case because after scoring 33,643 points throughout his career, he has been ranked third place in all time scoring list which is a place higher than Michael
However, Spike Lee captures Kobe as completely human, prone to minor mistakes, throughout the film. For example, when talking to his teammates on the bench versus the Spurs he says, "Hey Pau, my fault I thought you had a quick shot right there, that's why I threw it back to you" (34:12). Kobe not only admits to his mistake, but he explains his thought process when he made the wrong pass earlier in the game. Candid interactions like this allows the viewer to relate to Kobe, as his humbleness and composure often makes the viewer think twice about who they're watching; is it one of the greatest basketball players ever or just an ordinary dude? Later on, Kobe explains that post-game inters are particularly tough because he's always "out of breath." Once again, the viewer is surprised with another admittance of mortality, unlike the god-like status that he typically carries. By providing an eye into Kobe's private conversations in the locker room and on the bench that viewers otherwise wouldn't witness, the viewer is able to relate to Kobe.
Alvin Gentry once said,“I’ve always thought Kobe was the best player in Basketball. I don’t think it’s even close.” Kobe Bryant spent his childhood in a wealthy family. Kobe had an amazing career as a pro NBA basketball player. He was accused of raping a 19 year old woman.
Kobe has 5 championship rings, 2 mvp (most valuable player) he has played in the league for 20 years. I like Kobe in many ways. Kobe Bryant was good he was smart, creative, he put in many hours and shots in the gym to better himself. Kobe Bryant was not a selfish player that's just my opinion tho.
Michael Jordan is the best basketball player there ever was. The way he played was very outstanding and he sold out many arenas. A lot of kids wanted to grow up and play like Michael Jordan which made him a positive role model in many homes. They even made a movie called “Like Mike” to show how it would be to play like Michael Jordan as a kid. As the movie demonstrated that the shoes made him play good Michael Jordan shows that it’s not the shoes that make you good
Some people have a mindset that makes them say I was born to do this. Kobe had that mindset
When there was a Laker game my cousins and I would always move the biggest television available to my Dad’s garage and set up a buffet of food, candy, soda and popcorn just in time for the Lakers game. During every Laker game, I would always be in a state of shock when I witnessed Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O' Neal skills on the basketball court and try to learn while also study their every move as best as I can. The following days after the Laker games my cousin and I would always play basketball after school until the sun went down. We would play basketball outside my house in the back next to my dad’s shack where my old basketball court was located and try our best to imitate Kobe Bryant’s legendary fade away shot and we would also try to copy Kobe’s mad basketball handles.
Today, athletes around the world have been identified as role models. Athletes demonstrate certain qualities such as determination, confidence, focus and drive. Providing individuals with this positive image can encourage many to accomplish their goals. One athlete who demonstrated these talents and many more, one who dominated his craft, Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan who is arguably the best player to ever play the game of basketball, has become an inspirational figure for those who plan on pursuing a career in the game of basketball.
Millions of kids look up to him and do certain things just because of him. He has changed the way the game is played and has changed the lives of many people. Just from being a little kid born in Akron Ohio with a single mother to where he is today as one of the greatest to everplay is incredible. That's why LeBron James is my hero. Just from what he's done in life. He’s never doubt himself no matter what anyone else said and has never just quit or given up. He has accomplished and reached his goals no matter what it took. That's why he is classified as one of the greats not from what he’s just does on the court but what he does off the court also. The crazy thing about it is that LeBron is in just middle of his
When I was a kid I use to play basketball every day because of one man his name is “Michael Jordan” he was one of the greatest players in history of the NBA.
