The people told Jesus to perform a miracle if He wanted them to believe. They told Him that Moses gave the Israelites manna to eat, saying “The Scriptures say, ‘Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat.”
Moses was just a man who had faith in God and tried to follow God’s will as best as he could. God gave the manna, Moses was just the one who told them what it was and how to gather and prepare it. The people worshiped Moses over God and asked Jesus “What can you do”? They wanted Jesus to prove He was greater than Moses.
The Israelites who came out of Egypt saw the works of God and the faith of Moses and they still did not believe. Had Jesus showed these who followed him across the lake a miracle they would have been just as hard hearted

He tells them that He lives because the living God sent Him and therefore anyone who feeds on Him will live because of Him.
This can be a hard teaching to understand. What is the “Flesh” of Jesus? What is His “Blood”? To understand this we have to understand a couple of things.
First, when He says we will live, He is talking about our spirits. Our bodies will face death and decay. They will be raised one day and glorified, but still they will die. The Scriptures clearly teach whoever believes will not die but have eternal life.
Our spirits die by being separated from God. We must be fed spiritually in order for our spirits to live. What do we feed our spirits on? The Word of God. Who is the Word of God? None other than Jesus. Unless we feast on the Word our spirits will weaken and begin to die.
Now, why must we drink His blood? The Law prohibited the drinking of blood because life is in the blood. When we drink Christ’s blood, we are drinking from the cup of salvation. We are taking His life inside of us. In other words we are accepting Him as our personal savior. It is by His blood that was shed that we are cleansed of our
According to the Bible, there is life after death. When people die, the body becomes separated from the spirit and the soul. It is the body that remains on earth while the spirit goes back to God (John 11:25). Here, depending on your deeds on earth, the spirit may be accepted into Gods kingdom (heaven) or it may be subjected to punishment through hellfire (Matthew 10:28). (625 words)
Firstly, Jesus was Jewish and he would teach in different synagogues throughout the villages he travelled to. While in those villages Jesus would also heal those who were suffering. In his teachings he touched the hearts of the people and this created instability which frightened Jewish religious authorities. A group of men who Jesus touched started to follow and became his disciples. Jesus taught them about the will of God; as well as about a “new covenant” that God will bring to humanity through Himself, Jesus Christ.
At death, the body ceases to function and decays, but the soul of everyone is immortal and will be judged immediately. The souls of those who are faithful to God will be purified and go to live with God in heaven. However, the soul of anyone who has denied God will spend eternity separated from God in hell. At the end of time, all of the dead will be bodily resurrected and each individual will be judged and either rewarded or punished according to the life that they led.
| Destined for eternal life: When we pass away, if we have accepted God as out lord and savior we will go to Heaven and live the rest of our life there.
The fifth place that Jesus bled from was His hands. His hands were pierced through with nails, and He bled for your transgressions. "But He was pierced for our transgressions," Isaiah 53:5 NASB. He bled from His hands; so that you might prosper. He broke the curse from the work of your hands; so that your labor could be blessed. This is a true blessing indeed, because we are told in Genesis 1:26-28 that God had placed all dominion and authority into the hands of Adam and Eve. They lost their dominion and authority to Satan. Since then, we have always had to work for our food and shelter. With the blood covered hands of Jesus, you are able to
The bread and wine prepared for communion symbolically turn into the body and blood of Jesus Christ during the consecration rite of the Catholic mass. The consecration reminds believers of what Jesus Christ did to his disciples during 'The Last Supper.'
Moses: Moses was born in a time when his people, the Israelites, an enslaved minority, were increasing in numbers and the Egyptian Pharaoh was worried that they might ally with Egypt's enemies. God sent Moses back to Egypt to demand the release of the Israelites from slavery. Moses said that he could not speak with assurance or eloquence, so God allowed Aaron, his brother, to become his spokesperson. After the Ten Plagues, Moses led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, after which they based themselves at Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments
All men die, all animals die, all plant life dies. The “whole creation groans” (Romans 8:22), waiting for the time when Christ will return to liberate it from the effects of death. Because of sin, death is an inescapable reality, and no one is immune. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Worse still, we not only die, but if we die without Christ, we experience eternal
In the Bible it states there is not only life after death but eternal life so glorious that “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagines what God has prepared for those who love him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Death is like sleep we are not able to know what is going on around us and we are
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
The first thing that one needs to understand is the true meaning of the miracles Jesus performed, even though the Devil does not want us to understand the meaning. He loves when we speculate and question. In the Bible, miracles are often referred to as “signs.” Miracles are acts that only God can be responsible for, usually above and beyond natural laws. Baker’s Dictionary of the Bible defines a miracle as “Synthesizing the root connotations of these terms, we may define a miracle biblically as an observable phenomenon effected by the direct operation of God’s power, an arresting deviation from the ordinary sequences of nature, a deviation calculated to elicit faith-begetting awe, a divine inbreaking which authenticates a revelational
Jesus, when he was sacrificed was our first God's fist 'living sacrifice', now as his followers we must present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. It's only what we are susposed to be doing anyway. If I can help someone out, “Sacrifice is Painful!” When jesus was on the cross it was not on a bed of ease, he had to go through so much pain for us because he bore the sin, sickness, depression, opression, disappointment... anything you can think of he bore it on the cross for you and I. So while you are fasting, praying, seeking God, denying your flesh and striving to enter into the kingdom of heaven, we realize that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. And having these promises, let us not forget, If we suffer (((WITH))) him, we shall reign with him. If we can but endure hardships, suffering for his sake, suffering with him as our king and ruler, if we can do this in life, we shall reign with him in
The teachings of Jesus focused primarily on the "the kingdom of God" and were usually relayed through parables drawing on familiar images from agricultural life. He rebuked the hypocrisy of some Jewish leaders and taught the importance of love and kindness, even to one's enemies. Jesus' popularity grew quickly, but so did opposition from local leaders. Roman rulers were uncomfortable with the common perception that he was the Messiah who would liberate the Jews from Roman rule, while Jewish leaders were disquieted by Jesus' shocking interpretations of Jewish law, his power with the people, and the rumor that he had been alluding to his own divinity. In the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly suggests to his disciples his end is near, but they do not fully understand or accept the idea. The clearest expression of this is at the "Last Supper," which took place on the night before his death. All four Gospels record that Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples, asking them to "do this in remembrance of me." Christians celebrate this event in the sacrament of the Eucharist, or Communion. On this evening Jesus also predicts that one of them will betray him, which is met with astonishment and denial. But that very night, Jesus' fate was sealed when Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples and possibly the group's treasurer, led Roman soldiers to Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. As they arrested Jesus, the ever-colorful Peter defended his master with a sword, slicing off
At the start of Jesus ministry, he ended up passing the water of the baptism of John, As Jesus was finally baptized he came up from the water and said this is my son. God had instructed Moses to deliver a message to the Pharaoh and by this text, Matthew has left his audience to believe in the identity of the relationship between Jesus and God.
A soul is sent to either hell or heaven, a soul never dies I repeat a soul never dies. The only one who can destroy a soul is God himself because he created it, and he can destroy it. If a soul goes to hell, according to the bible he/she will suffer for eternity in the lake of fire that burns with brimstones and sulfur, but if he/she goes to heaven, there is joy forever and ever. Hell is a place you do not want to go to, that is why I will keep telling people to keep doing things the right way, because the bible explains that it is a horrible place to be. The bible is a book that has been written for over 2000 years now, in this same bible, prophecies made happened, I strongly believe in the bible, because most of the things written in it are happening.
