Jazmin has to be one of the craziest people i know. She is so quiet at school or anywhere where her friends are but when shes at home im either dating the jazmin that is super outgoing or the jazmin that wants to sleep. Like just last week she came over at around noon and she was yelling and running around and about an hour later my dad called me and my brother to do work for at least an hour of hauling bags of broken cement out of a tunnel that goes under my house and when I was done she was dead asleep on the couch. I admire her craziness because most people are bland and normal and boring. This is important to life because you only get one chance at life, so whats the point of doing everything the way everyone wants you to do it, and being …show more content…
We thought that we had done all the things you possibly can in a house but jazmin somehow finds something new to do! This is important to life because it shows that even when you think theres nothing left to do, there will always just be one more thing. She is also always so excited, whether it is to go explore new places or to receive a present. i admire this because she taught me to be excited about the little things, the things that don't necessarily impact your life amazingly but seem like they do. Kind of like getting called pretty or being told you look good today. This is improtant in if ebcause sometimes you may not get the biggest and the best prize but sometimes its not what you want, sometimes all that you want is to see someone you love smile or to recieve simply a piece of candy.
Jazmin is a very very smart person. Not only is she smart but she is intelligant. Im not saying shes the smartest person ever but she definatley has some talent. She actually got asked to go to italy over the summer to go to school there. She was seriously contemplating it before she realized she had to actually go to school. Like homework, tests finals all the high school nightmares, in a lagage she didnt even know! I admire how smart she
Important has a different meaning to everyone, because everyone has different important things in their life. For some people, it is their family, or their friends, or something they love to do. For LaVaughn in Make Lemonade, by Virginia Euwer Wolff, the thing most important to her is her education. LaVaughn is a 14 year old girl who babysits for college money because her mom does not have any. Her main babysitting job in this book is for Jolly, a teen mom who is struggling to work and take care of her kids. LaVaughn goes through ups and downs with Jolly and tries to help her -- but one thing sticks with her the whole time: throughout Make Lemonade,
In literature, characters encounter and react to obstacles created by environmental changes. To successfully navigate these changes, characters must gain awareness of their environments and gain the power to effectively take action. Thus, Janie most successfully adjusts to different environments because she develops self-awareness, attains power, and initiates action; she takes action more efficiently than Young Ju, and she is more self-aware of her circumstances than the Hunger Artist.
But despite the self gratifying goal this game promotes, it teaches kids to plan, prioritize, provide for, and celebrate life achievements. And even though we try to plan out our lives, the game shows us that life may not go the way we plan. There’s this element of chance that life seems to have, whether it’s making it big by
Lastly, a loving family helps teach you about your heritage and culture, this helps create a sense of belonging. Amabelle’s adoptive family was Dominican and she was Haitian. When Amabelle’s adoptive family would celebrate a traditional Spanish occasion they would bring Amabelle along but she always knew that she wasn’t wanted. These celebrations would emphasize the importance of family. Amabelle would feel left out because she was Haitian and had a darker skin color then her adoptive family. When other relatives would come they would treat her like she was the maid. Amabelle meets a Haitian fortune teller who becomes a motherly figure for her. She helped teach Amabelle about traditional Haitian activities like voodoo. In this quote Amabelle speaks on how she
Kayla reflected on how she can prepare at home by having a positive attitude and not arguing with foster mother or brother before school and coming into school happy.
Lastly, Janie’s confidence to refute cultural norms also proves Their Eyes Were Watching God empowers women. After silencing herself through two marriages, Janie exhibits her freedom through speaking up for her beliefs. Secondly, after listening to Nanny, Janie realizes she can achieve any dream she was with perseverance. Lastly, Janie’s confidence allows her to break free from the traditional role of a woman and live a better
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Natalie. She is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working. Beyond that, Natalie is an intellectually impressive and ambitious student who is always ready to further herself in any program. Along with her undeniable talent, Natalie has always been an absolute joy to work with.
Firstly, I have noticed that she is a very intelligent person, in her group, and outside of her group. This is prevalent because in the book it clearly states that she is among the very few black people that can read and write. However, this is not enough to clearly portray her intelligence. It also says that she learned to read from the Bible and her visits
Before going to sleep, children often like when their parents read them a bedtime story. Usually, it becomes a nightly ritual that children become attached to. They usually become attached to a certain book that their parents read to them. As a child, I loved when my mom read me the book, If you Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff. In this book, the mouse was always wanting more than he had, wand was taking his owner for granted. A moral this book taught me is that we are constantly wanting or needing more that we have in life, but we cannot always have it. Appreciating what we have and not taking certain aspects of our lives for granted are items we need to improve on.
As a young woman, Janie had no complaints about her role in society and fit in as most young people do. Eventually, Janie made it her purpose to outgrow this mold, defying her societal role and fulfilling her dream of becoming the assertive woman she always wanted to be. To
As a child, raised by Nanny, Janie was guided by the unreal allusion of what life is made up of.
Janie was the kind of woman who was always striving for better things. While living in a small town, she always dreamed of living in a better place. From a young age, she was bold enough to be sure she wasn’t going to stay with her grandma for a long time. This was because her Nanny was always sure to shrink her horizons, and Janie didn’t appreciate that. She was like that with Janie because when she was growing up, she never had the chance to better herself so she learned to settle for what she had. In fact,
Madeline is everything I strive to be in so many ways. My senior year of high school I had an online class at the same time as Madeline and every day she got her work done in a very timely and efficient manner, which is very difficult to do in an online class since you typically do not meet with your teacher face to face. She is an extremely smart young woman and I have seen her succeed in every subject without fail.
She gained the wisdom of the world outside her back door and began to see how society works. Although this may not have been a good thing, she could now see how unimportant
A few hobbies Kayla has is shopping, sleeping, and cooking. While shopping with her pals, she takes an interest in shopping for flowery perfumes. Being the smart shopper she is, she constantly rummages for discounts and sales. After shopping, she takes a comfortable nap in cold, rainy weather. When she wakes up, she cooks hot dinners for her family. When cooking for her family, she likes to cook either fresh pasta or spicy Mexican foods.
