With televisions becoming ever popular, technology advanced even more into the upper class division. 20 years later, the technical cycle rolled on with the introduction of the internet (But not quite as we know it). a further 25 years down the line, what was in a large, heavy and clunky plastic case is now in the palm of your hand made from elegantly carved aluminium into a sleek smartphone. These phones required large unappealing signal antennas to function. These large, bulky and unattractive phones were later replaced with ‘Flip-Phones’ and then ‘Smart’ era began. On the 29th June 2007 the original Apple iPhone was released, this sparked a demand for thinner, bigger and more capable phones. Touchscreen smart-phones seemed to be a hit, so once again Apple made an industry taking the ‘Personal Digital Assistant’ or ‘PDA’ for short, which was deemed a failure and based their new creation the ‘iPad’ around the same target market. The ‘iPad’ was an instant hit selling over 3 million units in just 80 days. The ‘iPad’ created another market for Tablet Computers which took off majorly outselling Laptops and PCs after just a few years of trading. In my opinion Tablets took off at a time of PC vulnerability, Windows had just released a major failure in Windows Vista (their latest operating system release at the time) leaving many users uncertain of the next stage. It has the least on screen customisation options out of any apple product and is the most limited app wise. Another diminishing factor is the costs and waiting times. The cheapest watch starts at £299 and the most expensive at a ridiculous £13,500, with between 4-10 weeks waiting time. (P4) Like most industries in the world the technology industry often has ups and downs. Despite technology being one of the main reasons we know life as it is, it still has major drawbacks. Addiction is the main impediment, In the majority of countries in the world it is deemed illegal to use a mobile phone whilst driving. As much as this is illegal and heavily frowned upon, it still occurs and evidently quite often. According to the National Safety Council, “cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year” with “1 out of every 4 car accidents in the United States caused by texting while driving”. Another major flaw with technology is digital piracy. Digital piracy or Copyright Infringement is “The use of works protected by copyright law without permission… such as the right to reproduce, distribute, display or perform the protected work or to make derivative works.” With
From over ten thousand years ago to what is now the Information Age, technology has grown significantly and affected not just one individual, but the whole world. The creations of technology have rapidly evolved to where humans depend on technology. They use it for their daily needs and this evidence shows these creations are a stepping-stone for future endeavours. The innovations that several people have created revolutionised the world in a major way from a light bulb and crossbows to an airplane and satellites. However, where they are positive results lie potential negative consequences and it becomes conspicuous every day. As humans become more dependent on technology over the years, society becomes interdependent. This indicates that
As People Rely More And More On Technology To Solve Problems, The Ability Of Humans To Think For Themselves Will Surely Deteriorate
In today`s society, it is simply impossible for anyone to go a single day without hearing these phrases, “Hey guys did you hear there`s a new iPhone?” or, “I`m out of Xbox live so I can`t talk, Sorry bud!” maybe even, “My phones at 12%, I am going to die!” They sound so familiar in today`s time, don’t they? This leads to take a step back and ask ourselves, “Is society addicted, and dependent on Technology?” The amount of technology used has tripled since the 1990`s. Look around to see all of the people glued to I-Pads versus books or even newspapers. Technology is used every day in schools, friendships, and even in our food. Technology is overused because it is dumbing down society, negatively affecting our health and ruining socialization

Although society has been spoiled in many ways by technology, some may argue an apposing position. Technology comes with many conveniences, but there are also many shortcomings with it. The main question is when does the line become crossed between using technology as a convenience and abusing it to the point that it hinders society. The following argument will point it out.
Technology is definitely worsening society in a multitude of ways. There have been different researches conducted that have come back with results that support this, such as the pew internet survey. People tend to spend more time on social media then they do with real people. Technology has made people expect things to come quick, making them have a small attention span. Before technology people would simply talk to people and spent time with them.
Okay, it’s time to put your phone down and get a little taste of reality. Technology has and continues to ruin society. Not the kind of technology such as: blueprints, machinery, and etc. the type of technology such as: phones, tablets, iPads, and items that take away the ability of completing daily living tasks by oneself. The complexity of technology has gotten out of hand to where society is nearly handicapped because social skills no longer exist, social anxiety disorder is more common, and there are microchips being implanted into humans. Technology is a drug and everyone is addicted.
In today’s modern and technologically advanced society, now more than ever science is critical to our decisions as a race and for the future. Reaching paramount societal controversy are subjects such as artificial intelligence, overpopulation, global warming, and the imminent mass extinction of many keystone species. Furthermore is the question of the extent to which humans should scientifically meddle with these situations while upholding a standard of ethics. The real question now is; Do we sacrifice order and safety for knowledge and power or cease extreme scientific advancements in favor of safety and possible prevention of failure?
The technological innovations impacted the way people got around, the way people's houses were lit, and the way cities were built. One of the new ways people started getting around is by train, and then soon by automobiles. Another way technological innovations impacted society is that they went from using oil lamps to electric lighting in their homes. Technological innovations also impacted the way cities were built by making them vertical rather than outward.

Jimmy: Mrs. A please I promise it wont happen again. Teacher: No more texting or playing games you will get your phone back at the end of the day. Technology isn’t helping our society like it said it would in fact it’s hurting it. There is a long list of cons for technology like phones, tablets, and laptops/computers. For example, phones create a distraction and a barrier that prevents them from interacting with the world. Modern technology is just horrible for the adults and children around the world.
Twenty first century technology has transformed society and the way individuals live. Many people are so concerned with their lives on the web that they fail to see that it is another way to be used as a control over people. The internet is being used as a way to separate and regulate what people can or cannot see. In “Fences of Enclosure, Windows of Possibility” Naomi Klein, explains how there are fences around public resources, and turning them into privatization. Making it hard for low income families to afford them. In “Democracy in Cyberspace: What Technology Can and Cannot Do for Us” Ian Bremmer, expresses while the internet has given power to people that are voiceless, it has also caused harm to society. From the year 1914 to 2015, our social era has been deemed by many as the “Age of Access”. Today there is virtually instantaneous electronic communication, which has removed the problems of both time and geographic distance. Communication by radio, telephone, television, fax machines, and network computers has created a global village that has completely removed the political, economic, and social isolation of the past.
