The innovations that several people have created revolutionised the world in a major way from a light bulb and crossbows to an airplane and satellites. In today`s society, it is simply impossible for anyone to go a single day without hearing these phrases, “Hey guys did you hear there`s a new iPhone?” or, “I`m out of Xbox live so I can`t talk, Sorry bud!” maybe even, “My phones at 12%, I am going to die!” They sound so familiar in today`s time, don’t they? This leads to take a step back and ask ourselves, “Is society addicted, and dependent on Technology?” The amount of technology used has tripled since the 1990`s. Look around to see all of the people glued to I-Pads versus books or even newspapers. Technology is used every day in schools, friendships, and even in our food. Technology is overused because it is dumbing down society, negatively affecting our health and ruining socialization

Technology is always improving. But with improvement brings problems we have to face. This Problem affects our entire society today. Technology is taking over our lives by lessoning human Interaction, Ruining our health, and blocking out our surroundings.

Although society has been spoiled in many ways by technology,some may argue an apposing position. Technology comes with many conveniences, but there are also many shortcomings with it. In many ways it could actually be ruining society. The main question is when does the line become crossed between using technology as a convenience and abusing it to the point that it hinders society. The following argument will point it out.

The complexity of technology has gotten out of hand to where society is nearly handicapped because social skills no longer exist, social anxiety disorder is more common, and there are microchips being implanted into humans. Technology is a drug and everyone is addicted.

In today’s modern and technologically advanced society, now more than ever science is critical to our decisions as a race and for the future. Reaching paramount societal controversy are subjects such as artificial intelligence, overpopulation, global warming, and the imminent mass extinction of many keystone species. Furthermore is the question of the extent to which humans should scientifically meddle with these situations while upholding a standard of ethics. The real question now is; Do we sacrifice order and safety for knowledge and power or cease extreme scientific advancements in favor of safety and possible prevention of failure?

The technological innovations impacted the way people got around, the way people's houses were lit, and the way cities were built. One of the new ways people started getting around is by train, and then soon by automobiles. Another way technological innovations impacted society is that they went from using oil lamps to electric lighting in their homes.
