We cannot deny that we are now in much more technologically improvement and especially for business, shifting from manual process to automation and computerize (Fhatima A., 2012). The cost and quality of hotels are usually indicative of the range and type of services available. Due to the enormous increase in tourism worldwide during the last decades of the 20th century, standards, especially those of smaller establishments, have improved considerably. To the Customer- the system will be a big help to the customer because it is no time consuming because of the presence of the computers and it’s more convenient to use. To the Researchers- the system will help future researchers by getting broad knowledge on how hotels do the reservation process. To the Future Proponents – the system will be a big help to the future researchers because they easily understand how hotels operate and what the difference between automated system and manual system is. Scope and Delimitation The Online Hotel Reservation System is mainly focus on providing customers a satisfying and accurate reservation of rooms in YMCA Hotel. The system includes the registration mechanism of the customers before reserving a room/s in the hotel. The system enables the YMCA Hotel to track services and aims to provide accurate and reliable process on every transaction especially in a hotel reservation. This study will look into a better impact of using technology today on how it affects our daily lives especially for customers. With the study, it can help beneficiaries to know the differences of using manual hotel reservation system into a computerized generation today, prioritize is to prove and give them the right information. Each company was compared to market they tailed their software and services, whether they offered a trial version, pricing structure, number of users available to access the system, the platform their solution can support, available features and training offered by each company.
In the process of investigations we have identified the following critical data recording requirements necessary to perform the desired outcomes. The information required to be recorded includes location, attraction, accommodation, room and facility information in addition we have identified more growth potential for the system by adding a country entity. To provide additional and more powerful search functionality we have also included a number of other categories such as attraction type and hotel chain by doing this we are can enable staff to filter information according destinations which have for example wind surfing available and with a preferred hotel chain such as Travel Lodge.
The scope of this document is limited to the John and Jane’s B&B Reservation System. The John and Jane’s B&B Reservation System is a new, self-contained product. It is not built upon any existing product. The system is designed to manage the reservations and to monitor the expenses and profits of the B&B. The expenses and profit system must be able to allow inputs for expenses and profits as well as show weekly and monthly reports of the profits and expenses of the B&B. The reservation system will show current vacancies as well as guaranteed and non-guaranteed reservations for specific dates. Guaranteed reservations must have 1 day’s payment while non-guaranteed reservations will be held until the agreed upon time. If not guaranteed by that date, the reservation will be dropped. If there is a vacancy for a specified date then the system will allow for the input of the customer’s name, address, phone number, reservation dates, the agreed upon price, credit card number, and room number(s).
