24) Which of the following areas will a marketing manager standardize or adapt when taking a new product global?

To guide my research, a variety of methods was implored. A few years ago, I was afforded the opportunity to study the development of Intercultural Education policies in communities of African descent in Ecuador. At the time, the country had started to make the plight of Afro-Ecuadorians more a part of the national discourse, and many new initiatives addressing the economic and social development of Afro-Ecuadorians had been erected. During the research study, I spent time visiting schools and community organizations aimed at fomenting educational opportunities for Afro-Ecuadorians in Chota Valley, Guayaquil, and Esmeraldas- regions that have the highest population of Afro-Ecuadorians. Although I was overwhelmed by the veracity of organizers, government officials, and school personnel committed to educational advancement for students of African descent, it was the efforts of leaders in Esmeraldas that

The interview process is the gateway to basically fill a position from a company. The function of an interview is to assess candidate’s skills to pertinent questions that are necessary to fill in the needs of an organization. Fact of the matter is, structuring an effective and efficient interview process is not really basic, for it entails ethical, legal and moral considerations with each question asked. Since we would cover up ten questions in this elective, the two criteria’s that I am going to include as a ranking score would be a confidence rating scale in which to scale the level of confidence the way each candidate answers the question and a question satisfaction rating scale in which for each person that conducts the interview will also rank the level of satisfaction on each question that had been answered by the interviewee (Pulakos, 1997). Both scales would be scaled from 1 to 5 in which 1 would be the lowest attainable score and 5 would be the highest. This then would make up a perfect score of 100 points as confidence would make up a total perfect score of 50 points for ten the questions and also the same with satisfaction. In the end of each question there would be a space provide to write any important notes on why or why not they are the best candidate for the position.

1. What is your story and how did it led you to create your own business?

My respondent is a close friend who is a college-aged, 1.5 Generation self-identified Filipina-American, who eventually relocated to San Diego, California. For the purpose of confidentiality, she will be referred to as “Ayla.” This interview paper will focus on her early life as an immigrant, her views on culture, and her assimilation experience into mainstream American society as a young Filipina with strong ethnic roots, overall.

For our Introduction to Business class, we had to interview a business person. I decided to interview my uncle, William Kurtz based on his background, and the fact that he lives in the area. The purpose of the interview was not only to get information to write this paper, but to learn about a job in the business field, and how it has been affected by the changing economy.

My interviewee is Mrs. Janice Washington , she works full time. She is an English professor at Holy Cross private school. She lives in a nuclear family with a husband and two children both are girls. Her daughters are in elementary school, so they need more attention from the parents. Her husband is a nurse at the Adventist hospital, and he usually works night shifts. She describes her workplace as family friendly because her colleague replaces her when she has to leave in the middle of the day, and if she has family emergency. I call my boss telling him that I cannot show up, he never complains. More than that sometimes she takes her children to go see plays in school and also she takes them to school on taking your child to work day. At work, she has a close relationship with other staff members.

As of September 5, 2015 I have conducted my intercultural interview. The interview was conducted with Claire “Con” Meyer, a 27 year old agender individual from New Zealand. Contact was made via a skype call, facilitated by my friend Christine Donham, Con’s girlfriend. Although Christine had told me about Con, this was my first meeting with them . I asked them the following questions:

For my interview I decided to pick the owner of the company I work for. The owner’s name is J. Kent McNew and he is the owner of Eastern Petroleum Corporation. The company is a petroleum distributor of gasoline primarily through gas station outlets. Eastern Petroleum Corporation is a Maryland corporation and its corporate office is located in Annapolis, MD. Mr. McNew sells products in MD, VA, DC, and some in DE. The scope of the business is done in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States. The smell of human excreta filled the room and sitting on the floor in front of me was an adult woman with playing with dolls and stuffed animals. I soon realized she was the origin of the odor as feces were smeared down the inside of her thighs. This was the first time I laid eyes on my client who for the purposes of this statement I will referee to as Anna. Although, I was slightly intimidated by her appearance, I approached her and introduced myself. I helped Anna to her feet and began her morning routine. When NAFTA was implemented in Mexico, it was an almost immediate success for Wal-Mart. This was because they lowered and abolished the tariffs that Wal-Mart was required to pay prior to the implementation of NAFTA. With the lack of tariff fees, all of the Wal-Marts' in Mexico have been able to offer the “Every Day Low Prices” that we Americans are used to.
