Diagnostic Essay There are many things that are important in school, Moreover a syllabus is one of them, a syllabus are like a contract saying that you understand whatever in on the paper, the student will agree to accept it. The three most important aspects of the syllabus is Integrity, attendance, and make-up work. The reason why those three things are the most important is because, it basically covers almost all the agreements that are on the syllabus. Once he or she signs it, they will also agree to hold whatever responsibility it tells the student what he or she are responsible for. The syllabus tells what rules the students have to follow and what they need to do. Integrity offense procedures are one of the important aspects that
Being on time and accountability go hand in hand; for those who are on time are responsible beings. Accountability has everything to do with responsibility. There are many factors as to why being on time is of great importance. For starters, being on time for work is a priority. Each and every person working in that job have their own responsibilities that they have to accomplish on a day to day basis. Therefore being late means delaying what needs to be done that day as well as making other coworkers do extra work that they shouldn’t have to be worried about, to begin with. Every person plays an important role, so being to work on time is necessary for a functioning workplace. As one matures over the years accountability is expected of individuals

Enforcing the belief that every student should set high standards in their school work is a must because the quality of their work is based off of their own standards. Effective and consistent communication of high expectation helps students develop a healthy self-concept (Rist, 1970). These expectations must be very clear in a classroom full of students from different cultures. A page on class work expectations should be included in the first day take home syllabus. It should explain how students should complete their work and the quality of it by using simple yet detailed words so every family can understand it. The most important part the teacher must do is be very clear and detailed on directions. If a student does not understand an assignment then the teacher most likely did not explain it well. This situation is commonly misinterpreted as if the student was just not paying attention. Clear directions will almost eliminate any confusion on an assignment due to cultural differences.
In fact, most students use these documents as a roadmap for each and every college course. The documents contain valuable information, such as your professor's name, contact information, office location, and office hours. The name of the course, meeting days/times, a description of the course, and its learning objectives. Additionally, what you can expect to know or do by the end of the semester. Information about the required textbook specified materials and any other assigned readings. Quiz, exams, and test dates, specified due dates for readings, written assignments, and projects. Most importantly, the syllabus includes descriptions, instructions, prerequisite and instructions for assignments. Class policies, including grading scale and, policies. The professor's expectations of you. All of this information helps a student determine if they have the skills to complete the assignments in the course and if the professor is a good fit for the students' learning needs. In short, if the course is worth paying the tuitions.
There are five propositions that the National Board for Professional Teacher Standards has listed, which are Proposition 1: Teachers are Committed to Students and Their Learning, Proposition 2: Teachers Know the Subjects They Teach and How to Teach Those Subjects to Students, Proposition 3: Teachers are Responsible for Managing and Monitoring Student Learning, Proposition 4: Teachers Think Systematically about Their Practice and Learn from Experience, and Proposition 5: Teachers are Members of Learning Communities. The five propositions are similar to the code of ethics that are set up for teachers. The first proposition discusses the commitment that teachers are to have for their students learning. It’s main focus is that the student are treated equally and they are given the chance to learn. The National Board for Professional Teacher Standards (1987) stated “They believe all students can learn”. This statement is very crucial for teachers to understand, because if we give up on our students they will eventually give up on themselves. Proposition two discusses how teachers must know their content and how to deliver their content. Knowing your content is a must when you are a teacher, but if you don’t know how to deliver the information to your students you are back at square one. This proposition wants the teachers to be a master of the concepts being taught, and understand the information on a real-world basis. Also the teacher must be able to fill the gap of
John, your adherence to your work schedule continues to exceed my expectations and demonstrates a commitment to your job. You are prompt at the start of your shift, and when returning from breaks and lunches. When requesting vacation, you consider the unit’s needs and schedule your time off accordingly. You demonstrate this by maintaining a good attendance and utilizing your leave credits wisely. You continue accept the responsibility to complete tasks with minimal supervision. You are conscientious person, which is reflected by your ability to use good judgment in completing daily assignments. You demonstrate your ability to resolve problems and keep the work flowing in a timely manner.
Students are also not to laugh or make fun of another student if they get an answer wrong, or simply forget the answer when they raise their hands. For many students answering questions in class can be a nervous experience. Students put what they think is the right answer out there, and if they get ridicule they may not want to speak as easily. This is also true in my unit plan. In my unit plan near the end of the unit will do a debate between the Patriots, and the Loyalists. Rules will be established the day of the debate that students are to challenge the ideas of the other side, but are not to resort to name calling, swearing, racial terms etc. Among the list of items on page 14 the one that stands out to me the most is student centered learning. Student centered learning would be a big part of the classroom as I feel students learn best in their own personal experiences, and through helping others. Students would gain their own experiences in the classroom by interpreting various events, or documents throughout history into their own words. For instance in my unit plans on the unit over the Declaration of Independence students are split into groups, and come up with their own version of the Declaration of Independence with the teachers assistance. Learning like this gives students their own interpretation of the events, and allows students to learn from not only their group, but the other groups as
A syllabus is an outline or a brief statement of the main parts or subjects of a course or curriculum. A syllabus is given out by the instructor to inform students of the expectations that they have for them for that class. A syllabus includes important dates and course assignments that the students need to remember.
I think that students are often required to answer the detail information, but main idea is also important to grasp the whole.

If I were the director of admissions at a graduate school or social work, I would want to be sure that potential students sincerely want their graduate degree to be in social work. I think a good way to do this would having a system set up that is similar to the process of getting into the social work program at Northwestern. Interested students should have to write a personal statement and explain why they want to be a social worker and what has inspired them. They should also write out their long term goals as a future social worker who holds a Master’s degree. In addition, I would want to have an interview with the potential students, so that I can hear them verbally explain what they wrote. This would be helpful in understanding that the individual was not just making stuff up in his or her responses for the writing sample. Letters of recommendation would also be helpful, because I would have the chance to hear what other people think of the potential student and it would help me in getting to know the student better.
Accountability is the obligation of an individual or organization to account for its activities, accept responsibility for them, and to disclose the results in a transparent manner. Punctuality is the habit of doing things exactly in time. So the main reason for this essay is because I did not follow out proper orders and was not at the correct place of duty for PT/Accountability formation at the correct time There is still no excuse for me to miss a formation. I want to be an excellent soldier and I want to excel in the military. The first step I need to put into action is always making sure I am at the appropriate place of duty at the correct time or preferably with time to spare. This is
