The Questioning Me 1. Why is there war in the world why can’t we all get along? 2. Does college have to be that expensive; more people would be able to go to college if it was a lower price? 3. Is there life beyond this small world that we live in? 4. Why Can’t our government help out every person out 5. Why is food so taste <3? 6. Why do we trust a sheet of paper to control our lives? 7. How much can an average human lift? My goals My goals are like every other person; I go for the most outgoing ones that some people don’t even know about. One of my greatest goals is to be in a cooking competition and do my best in it even if I don’t win I want to leave everyone wanting more. Another of my goals is to be on the big screen in any sporting …show more content…
But there are two in general that always make me laugh and giggle when I remember them even if in that time it wasn’t all laughs. My first memory is when I was 9 it was any other fall day the crisp leafs where floating down from the trees the sun rays hit my face like a warm kiss by the sun. My family was out like any other Halloween week and putting up the frightening decorations. When all of a sudden I felt something the size of a rock hit my head, I thought it was my sister playing tricks on me but I look around and she was inside. Then my older cousin came out side and said “I know who throw that at you”, I confused and furious asked him “who was it”. All he told me was that he saw this kid running around and he went up one of the tallest trees in my neighborhood. Me furious ran to the tree started to claim it and at first I looked up and said hey there’s nothing here but I didn’t give up I keep going to the top. When I got close to the top I saw a medium sides who me curious stuck my head in there and all I could see was this puffy tail. I scratched my head and grabbed it; little did I know that it was a huge mistake. Out of nowhere this squirrel jumped on my face and attacked me I fell down the tree and landed on my arm breaking some of my bones. I learned that day that sticking your head into a hole in a tree is …show more content…
My mom has been through a lot with me she got me healthy even if she was sick during the time I was a baby, She has helped me with my reading and writing disability and has pushed me to do my best. She is a strong confident woman that is loving she loves to attend to people and has a great smile. She has shown me that even if times are hard you have to bring your head up and raise it high. I maybe a mama’s boy but my mom is one of my greatest role models and people I admire. The second person that has helped me with my life is my loving sister. Yes we fight, we argue, scream at each other but when it comes to someone I need and trust my sister is always there. She has shown me that hard work pays off in the end. She also has shown me to love myself and to boost my confidence up by a lot, even when I’m feeling down in the dumps she jumps into my life and brings a smile to my face. She also makes me want to better myself because she the first and only sibling that has gone to college and I want to go to college and show her that all the hard work she has put in to help me has paid off. I love her and am grateful to have a loving and caring sister that I admire so
I consider my mother to be the most important person in my life because she has always been the rock in my family. She raised my two sisters and me to be independent, educated, and well-rounded individuals with little to no help from her family or my father. My mother learned at a young age that if you want something you must get up and find a way to achieve it for yourself. She worked two jobs to pay her way through college and always told my sisters and me that college was not an option, so she made sure we all
She is wonderful and just awesome is even supportive of my friends and is always nice and caring to them. The girls in colorgard love her to she acts like a second mother to them. She also takes time off of work to help out at band camp every year. She is back school online and is getting her masters showing that no matter if you are an adult or kid you can always learn more and that's such a big inspiration to me. She has come to almost all of my volleyball, and softball games and helped me when I was having trouble with them and showing me the best way to do things. My mom also tells me to never give up like when I was doing volleyball I wanted to quit but she told to just finish the season and that I don’t have to do it again if I didn’t want to, I ended up really liking it and had a lot of fun. She even helped me to get back in a good place after my grades fell, and I was not in a good place then she helped me to get them higher and, try as hard as I can and do my very best. My mom is my hero for all these reasons and many, many more but the fact that I have her is a blessing in itself. She is kind, caring, smart, funny, lovable, Amazing, and
Imagine growing up being told to believe your education is worth nothing. Imagine not being able to attend school after the 6th grade. That was the exact situation my mother faced when she was younger. Ana Gonzalez, my mom and also my best friend, has set many great examples for me despite her imperfect history. Even in the tough times, my mother is always there when I need her. I guess I never took the time to realize her value towards me and my family. My mom is a creative person that likes to think outside the box. Not only that, she is also educated and supportive.
An article by HO, J.D says, “the National Center for education statistics reports an average tuition of 25,409 for the 2014-15 academic year at four-year colleges and universities.” It’s amazing how costly is to get an education. Where many questions, Should the amount of wealth you make determine whether you attend college or not.? Many students going college are in college debt College expenses are getting higher, every individual that is thinking of going college goes through the financial struggle. As many think of a question of how much income they need to pay college tuition.? In regrade to making their college life, usually, student tend to go school and work. although, going school and working becomes the habit but the student will have a dangerous effect on their study. They would have less time to study and take a rest. Education has given many an opportunity to change the world and taught people to saves other people lives. Now our world has doctors, pilots, engineers, scientist and much more that people are not seeing. The life cycle of humans is amazing where we lose another and get even smarter and betters. In this cycle, many have not have gotten an opportunity to show the talent because of college tuitions rising every year. There have been different college grants and some help on college fee if you are under poverty level. Education should not be compared with the price, we can buy a nice dress with a good price but we cannot buy an education at a price

There have been arguments when discussing the price of attending college. The main argument that we have is whether college tuition is too expensive or not. Over the last few decades the college tuition rates have increased drastically, but is a rate increase necessarily a good or bad thing. I personally believe that the cost to attend college is too expensive especially for low and middle-income families. There are many reasons why tuition could be considered too expensive they include, rise of tuition, little financial aid, and lack of college savings to name a few. The first reason why college tuition is considered too expensive is the continuing rise of tuition itself. Between the years 1973 to 2008 tuition for a four-year increased
Critical thinking is making well thought out logical decisions. You don’t have to accept everything just have an open mind about it. It is trying to understand something even when you are skeptical or don’t really believe it. You have to ask questions and try to come up with different conclusions than what you originally had or thought. Some of my questions that I have had from reading these past couple weeks would be; “What does it all mean?” “What is he trying to say?” and “How did he end up with that conclusion?” Using the Socratic Method, like Socrates did in his life, will ensure that we come up with different arguments to
A one goal that I have set for myself is to keep moving forward into my careers. By moving more into a career will help me achieve better financial issues, less depression, better opportunities, better choices, and a better attitude toward life. Another goal
She has shown me what perseverance is and that true hard work can actually pay off. My family was in a rough patch for a long time, but somehow my mom managed to save us. She might have had to work three jobs and go to bed hungry some nights, but if we never struggled, I would not be here today. Since then, I have achieved my first degree black belt, and my mom had a big role in this part of my life. She encouraged me to pursue my dreams and was always there for me when I thought classes were too hard. When I wanted to give up, she always told me, “It will be worth it in the end.” My mother was right; you should never give up on your dreams, just because you do not feel like you fit
My mom is literally my best friend she has always been by my side she always admit when she wrong she has always been there for me. My mom had stage 3 to 4 breast cancer she had found out very late and didn’t know she had it but she always had a pain in her chest that she didn’t know what it was but now she do. She beat it but now it return so i know she not going to lose faith in fighting that’s just something about her. My mom is hard working woman she does it all by herself when she needs to be done for her kids some day i hope to live up to be half the mother she is. Sheila Ann Hudley is my hero for all she do and does for me and how she continue to fight to still be here for me as my mom.
My mother has been my biggest supporter all my life. She is someone I have always looked up too. Every morning since kindergarten she has waken me up for school, cook me breakfast, then send me off to school. After school she would take me and pick up from every practice no matter how tired she was from work. No matter how sleepy or tired she was she was sitting front row cheering me on every step of the way. My mother is still cheering me on till this day.
Besides being compassionate my mother is thoughtful. She stays at work late if someone needs help with theirs. She brings my grandmother dinner and runs errands for her. She is always putting others before herself. For instance, last year I began singing in the choir at Iowa State. It was really important to me because singing has always been a passion of mine. She drove to Ames for every single concert. It meant a lot to me to have her in the audience supporting me. This year I also started singing in the choir at my church. I was really excited and nervous about singing the first Sunday so few days before I was going to sing she gave me a beautiful necklace with a star pendant on it. I remember her warm hug and her telling me good luck and that I was ‘her star’. It touched me that she took time out of her busy schedule to encourage and support things that she knew were important to me. She could have just wished me well and enjoyed her few minutes of spare time, but instead she put me first.
My mother is someone I have always admired. She puts the entire family’s feelings before her own. If I’m happy so is my mom. She taught me the golden rule; treat people the way I want to be treated. Life isn’t perfect and it most definitely isn’t fun unless you are
