In this report I will be investigating how care services meet the needs of individuals by firstly analysing the needs of an individual using care services. Then I will go on to explain the roles of the care planning process in identifying needs, and explain the features of a positive care practise. After explaining that, I will analysis positive care environments and evaluate how they meet needs before finally explaining the role of legislation in promoting a positive care environment. The individual I have chosen from the case study is Tahir. Tahir is 24 years old and currently homeless as he does approve of his father’s new partner and moved out. Tahir is unable to find a job because he doesn’t have a stable home address and is sleeping on friends couches. He is a homosexual, however he has not told his family and friends. This secret and the pressures of being homeless has left him feeling hopeless. However he recently reached out for help for his homeless struggles. 1.1 Tahir’s SPECC needs that I have identified are- Social Tahir’s only social interactions in his life are the friends he is staying with as he has lost the communication he had with his family. This has impacted him greatly as he does not have enough trust in his friends and family to tell them about his sexual orientation. In order for Tahir’s social needs to be met he will need to socialise more, perhaps being involved a job club may help him, as he can look for a job and socialise with people in the
Providing for care- it is according to Abraham Maslow’s law that health and social care workers should be familiar wth an individuals needs before providing them any support and each one should be treated as an individually.
Seventy percent of seniors over 65 who require support to remain independent have long-term health needs. While tens of millions of seniors are cared for by loving family members, that care often takes a mighty toll on the senior and the caregiver. In many of these cases, there comes a point when the discussion turns to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Thankfully, there is another choice. With care services from Comfort Keepers, your senior loved one can maintain the freedom and independence of living at home, and the family can receive the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one is receiving the care and support they need to safely age in place.
It has become essential for organizations now days to build a good team of professional which is not possible without good Human Resource Management. HRM in any organization mainly focus on staff recruitment, training and development, staff motivation, appraisals as well as an effective communication at workplace (Human Resource Excellence, 2014). This study helps to understand, analyze and implement human resource functions in an organization which are essential for a growing business. For completion of this study, I have selected organization operating in health and social care industry named as 'Care Uk' which is helping people for 30 years to live happier, healthier and more independent lives. Care Uk started its operation in 1882, which is now known as one of the leading provider in UK who run GP, hospital, care homes as well as it provides support to community. Main aim of Care UK is to help people in fulfilling their lives more independently (Care UK, 2014). According to research on the homeless population, a break in relationships with others, especially family members, is usually a contributing factor to ones homelessness (Bruhn, 2011). In addition, being new to the area, trying to afford a lifestyle of drug use, and having a criminal record, Interviewee 1 was unemployed and had no money to afford housing or any of his basic necessities.
Patients and their families should be educated about the importance of adhering to the treatment regimen to prevent further bone abnormalities, and risks associated with surgical correction and the importance of regular follow-up to prevent. However, communicating and discussing such topics could be a challenge in the helping process. This challenge occurs if literacy is not transparent within the healthcare or there is a cultural barrier (Zauche, L. H., 2017, p. 235). The social worker’s assessment can undercover confusion and gaps between patients and physicians.
In order to be properly prepared for an outage in the magnitude of what transpired to the CareGroup network, systems and process control may have prevented this unfortunate event from occurring. Instituting a preventive approach to network functionality and security, along with a contingency plan to deal with failures or breaches to the system should have been in place.
The Australian Government’s Better Access to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and General Practitioners through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (Better Access) initiative is a health promotion program that an older person may benefit from in addressing this area of development. The Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA, 2012) advises that the central goal of this national program is to enable access to evidence-based treatment to promote health outcomes for individuals with clinically indicated mental disorder. For these individuals, access to care is enabled by subsidising the financial cost of up to ten individual and ten group allied mental health services each calendar year (DoHA, 2012).
Today’s society exists in a balanced system where each individual plays a crucial role in the success for himself and the success of the system as a whole. Business and corporations provide products or services to fit the needs or wants that are identified as such by the same business and corporations. Some many say that the individual consumer’s role is miniscule, however, without the consumer the business and corporations would not have a market to provide them with a desirable profit. A cycle is created where each other relies heavily on the other. The drawbacks of business and corporations having such a powerful role for their services is that individuals are no longer viewed individually, they become a target audience, with individual needs and wants becoming grouped into a service that should work to serve the audience. Furthermore, businesses and corporations turn the wants of society into socially acceptable needs; as societies norms are being redefined, individuals mistake the services, or service mentality, for quality care which is causing a downward spiral into a notion called disabling help.
Assignment Overview: Individuals have a wide & diverse range of demands & care needs. The aim of this assignment is to make a better understanding of these demands & needs within the health & social care service system
The organisation which will be focused on is a private care company, which owns various nursing homes throughout Scotland and the North of England. The nursing homes are for elderly people with various nursing needs. The organisation aims to deliver the best possible care and ensures that all staff have a heart for the job as the organisation states that qualifications and training is not enough. The company states that as a result the employees gain confidence from the knowledge that the residents are comfortable and well taken care of and that families are able to enjoy genuine peace of mind that the care staff are doing their job, serenely, blissfully and with compassion, when the family are not present
In this project I will describe the needs of Shannon and explain why they are required to be addressed. I am also going to take a look at psychological theories and use them to explain aspects of development and behaviour of Shannon. Most patients who come into hospitals have either one or more illnesses that need caring and treating. These are the people who have complex health care needs. The Department of health (DH) (2015) defines complex health care needs as physical or mental health impairment that has a potential or affects an individual to conduct their daily activities. This assignment will critically analyse the care given to a patient with complex health care needs. The aspects to be focused on are pain and breathlessness due to swollen neck. The approach to the patient care will be analysed and the effectiveness of the care pathway to deliver care to the patient will be critically analysed. The roles of the Multidisciplinary team (MDT) involved in the care will
The problem was that CareGroup IT’s network crashed due to an software experiment which failed. The experiment was being done by a single researcher and while CareGroup employed many IT workers, none had knowledge of what the software was doing in the background. There wasn't a reference for what the experimental software was doing and it eventually collapsed and froze the communication between the various servers on CareGroups network.
In this report I’m going to describe four needs of the chosen individual and explain why they are required to be addressed. I’m then going to go on to describe features from two psychological theories and use them to explain aspects of the development and behaviour of the chosen individual. Next I’m going to describe three sociological concepts and use them to explain the impact of social influences on the chosen individual. Then I’m going to describe features of the positive care environment in three care services and explain how they could meet the needs of the chosen individual. Finally I’m going to describe features of two psychological theories and use them to explain how a care worker could demonstrate positive care practice with the chosen individual.
