P2 Understand ethical issues relating to research in health and social care
Ethical principles
Protection from harm- In any health care setting it is always important to make sure that all the individuals in all the aspects of the area are being protected from harm. In any organization the most important policy is the protection policy this enables the staff to make sure that all the individuals feel safe. Protection from harm does not only mean being protected from abuse It could be protecting people's health and wellbeing and enabling them to live free from harm, neglect and abuse.
Ethical standards also require that researchers should make sure when they are conducting any research on a participant, the participant is put into danger. As

Employee's Responsibility: To take reasonable care of themselves in the workplace and to be mindful of the effects of their acts and omissions.
Policies and procedures are what differentiates each workplace. Every workplace should develop and implement policies and procedures which are relevant to the individual workplace incorporating the legislation from the 2 statements. for example, a newspaper shop would have a different set of policies than a care home because there are different tasks being carried out by the staff.
Ethical Issues and Research
• Human rights
Individuals in the European union countries have among other rights, a right to life, to be free from torture degrading treatment, and discrimination and to have their privacy respected. All researchers must respect these rights. Stem cells are retrieved from embryos that are a few days old, and it is that creates the ethical dilemma in relation to research using this type of tissue.
• Role of
A legislation is a law made by the government that dictate the general rules. The code of practice is more like how to put in to practice the legislation setting up the standards and the ethics. The work place policies are “rules” made by the employer that may be different from an employer to another but never in contrast to the legislation or the code of practice.
Even though codes of ethics are written down, they are not known as rules, but it is given to set the boundaries of what is and is not an acceptable way to conduct research
The purpose of this email is to inform you of a concern that we, the tenants in Unit #4 at 2332 Saidel Drive, have regarding a noise issue from Unit #3.
The article summarises a new programme that will be given to newborn babies against meningitis B. Meningitis is an infection of the membrane which surrounds the brain and spinal cord. This can affect anyone but young children are more vulnerable to the infection. Some symptoms that have been shown from the infection are high fever with cold hands and feet, agitation, misperception, sickness and headaches.
When in a health and social care environment, there are always strategies and procedures in place which will help individuals to be at minimal risk of abuse. However there needs to be specific procedures in place that will help decrease any amount of risk.
One of our branch goals for DBR 2017 deliveries is to maintain procedures inventory and perform annual audit. I wanted you to review procedures of the desk that you are working on. You are required to perform this task quarterly. Below are dates that our procedures are assigned to your names.
M3: Discuss the care strategies that can be used to support individuals with each physiological disorder.
In this report I will be describing different patterns of ill health and who and how they are monitored. I will also try to explain different factors that affect our health, not only now but I will try to discuss how different factors fight effect our health in the future, I will then evaluate the influence of the government have on factors that affect ill health.
I hope I never have to go through something life this, but if I would I think I would do the same procedure I have at the assistant living I work at. There we were told to make sure we keep ourself safe while helping others! In that case, I would tell the patient in Exam Room 4 to hide and to keep the door closed and locked (if they can). That way the shooter would have to barricade through things before getting to the patient. I would also tell the patient to very quietly call 911 and tell them that we have an active shooter in the office. Then if it was safe, I would hurry to Exam Room 2 and tell those patients that same thing. Since the infants parents are with, I would quickly tell them to hide anywhere they can in that room and to lock
ting a safety net to ensure that care that falls below the standard can be identified and improved or relevant held responsible. It also creates a responsibility (both personal and institutional) to ensure that care providers can be held responsible for their care and therefore creating incentive to provide good care.
The Belmont Report identified three principles essential to the ethical conduct of research with humans:
Throughout research in Health and social care settings, there are many implications with the research, which takes place. Many research methods include ethical issues which have to be considered when conducting research. Ethical issues need to be considered when research is being conducted, in all methods of conducting the research information.
Bell (2005) mentioned that ethical research involves acquiring informed consent of people to be interviewed, questioned, observed or taken materials from and reaching to an understanding of how the data will be used and analysis will be reported and published. In guiding the activities of researchers, Denscombe (2010) described three ethical; “protection of participants’ interest”, “avoiding deception or misinterpretation” and “informed consent of participants”.
Dear journal, today in class I did a multiple choice on the Ethics of Research. I learnt so much from that activity from protecting participants from harm to inform consent. I have erudite that ethical considerations are a significant feature of research that all teacher researcher should be knowledgeable about. During class, the first thought came to my mind about ethics was rules for distinguishing right or wrong. According to Resnik (2015) he believes that Ethics is a norm that distinguish between what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. I think it is imperative for me to adhere to the ethical norms in research in which i will have Informed consent to avoid deception, confidentiality, anonymity, protecting an individual from harm.
Researchers extract stem cells by “destroying human embryos.” (Konsen 2-3). This is where the ethical and moral debate started.
