Ever wished you could change the world? If I were ever given the chance, I know just what I’d do. I would eliminate all un-prescribed drugs, alcohol, and bullying, because it ruins lives and hurts families. Why can people stop. Well, here’s why.
I would like to eliminate un-prescribed drugs for many reasons. My sisters’ husband was on drugs. He and my sister have two girls and he almost ruined my sister and their kids’ lives, until he finally got off drugs. People in my family have overdosed on them. I’ve lost cousins and other family members from drugs. I don’t want to raise kids in that type of world. I don’t want their lives ruined and unhappy because of drugs. Although some people argue for the legalization of drugs, addiction to these substances has caused a huge increase in violent crimes in the home, at school, and on the street. Many people do not understand why individuals become addicted to drugs or how drugs change the brain to create compulsive drug abuse. They mistakenly view drug abuse and addiction as strictly a social problem and may characterize those who take drugs as morally weak. Even though people need their prescriptions, the abuse of them is getting out of control and we need to find a way to regulate it better,because it can destroy a family, cause some to become addicted, or even kill them. Prescription drugs are no joke, they can be worse than illegal drugs like marijuana, cocaine, and even heroin. The only difference is a doctor can prescribe these types of drugs. The problem we run into with prescription drugs is there is not enough being done to keep the person from becoming addicted or them selling to others. In 2007 2.5 million Americans abused just painkillers (Drug free world). That is not even including the other two types. First, the billions of dollars that the government is spending trying to abolish illegal drugs would be put to better use and the government would be able to tax the “new drugs” just as they do alcohol and tobacco. These monies could then be spent to provide better education on the affects of drugs
Drugs influence physical and psychical health, it destroys human from inside. Drugs disorganize brain , heart, liver, intestine work. And almost all of these disorders are irreversible. If drugs would be legalised, some people would buy it instead of usual anaesthetics even though it would make more harm than benefit. Death statistic of drug abuse is horrifying. About 30% of drug addicts die. And this percentage would increase if drugs would be legalised. Also, usage of drugs is a cause of many diseases, like AIDS, hepatitis, cancer, mental trouble.
