The company posted the recall after its supplier, Grain Craft recalled various lots of wheat flour over concerns of the possibility it contained low levels of peanut residue. Consumers with severe peanut allergies are advised by the FDA to avoid the recalled products though the FDA stated the affected products may had limited peanut exposure and is believe to be low and not expected to cause adverse health effects for most consumers with peanut allergies. Mars Chocolate, to date, has received no reports of illness related to the products covered by this recall.
