The Test.
The recent test was a bit of a wake up call. I missed the i**103 question. It's frustrating in that I calculated the correct result, but for some perverse reason chose the wrong selection. I guess once solved, my mind tends to wander on to the next question. With only 10 multiple choice questions, this can have a devastating impact. From a return on investment, this is definitely an area worth improving. I generally do a substantial portion of course exercises in my head, and don't bother writing them down. This is perhaps a mistake on my part, since recording the results correctly is a critical final step worth practicing. Unfortunately, this approach does significantly increase the time necessary to complete the exercises.

Completing these exercises has become an increasing important, as the material has become more complex. The quantity of graph paper consumed solving these problems (particularly since I am documenting all steps of the logic) is truly impressive. Buying stationary in bulk for home use, is a new experience for me.
Written Assignment
Everything was straightforward and supported by the reading material. Dotting the I's, crossing the t's and looking up the actual theories to referenced slowed the process down, but the end product appears to be improving
Discussion Forum.
The discussion subject was interesting. At first, I found it a little intimidating since it was completely different than any other discussion assignment. The Americana aspect also contributed to this first impression. After converting it to generic equations it all made sense at a simplistic level. Further investigation revealed a number of data mapping issues which hinted at yet more complexity to explore. Perhaps this is why, it was chosen as a discussion subject. Not sure if my responses are totally correct, but no one should fault me for a lack of effort. I had a problem posting the function images from the original discussion assignment. They pasted but didn't post when it was saved. Once I noticed the issue, it was then a race against the clock to correct it. I did miss one "" and required correction in a later
Question 27: The fact that processes tend to be dynamic, rather than static, is a key principle of statistical thinking. Which of the following is a natural consequence of this fact?
Due to the increase in racial and ethnic diversity in the United Sates there is a great need to provide counseling interventions that cater for social issues that are attributed to the racial and ethnic diversity. Presently, efforts are being made to implement social justice advocacy strategies and interventions into counseling practices. Thus, counselors are encouraged to be agents and advocates for social justice, oppression, and discrimination (Ratts & Hutchins, 2009). At the forefront of social justice counseling approaches, is the need to empower the oppressed or marginalized individual by confronting injustices and inequalities that affect the individual at the systemic level (Pedersen, Lonner, Draguns, Trimble, & Rio, 2015).
Additionally, supporting children’s holistic health and well-being will not only enhance their growth and development, but also increase their self-esteem and promotes motivation for example, ‘willingness’ to explore with peers, which will contribute to positive enforcement as they grow and develop. They will also feel value by others and will feel confident to take risks and challenges and to be able to problem solve effectively without fear or judgement .
Amanda and Erica’s grades may differ for a variety of reasons. Studies show that the more academic activities a parent is involved in is significantly associated with their child having higher literacy achievement, lower rates of grade retention, and fewer years needing special education (Miedel & Reynolds, 2000). Amanda’s father’s income, education, and occupation also all correlate with her literacy abilities (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013). Parental education has the strongest influence of the three (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013).
For this assignment, I will use the websites, lab and materials from this week and complete an internet search of my own on chromosomes. I will write a two- page essay that explains how conditions caused by extra or missing chromosomes reflect a meiotic error. I will also choose two conditions or diseases to review. For my final exam, I had to do a product review/heuristic evaluation on two devices that I have not yet been familiar with. The two devices that I have decided to do with this assignment are the point – and – shoot camera and the copier machine. The reasons why I've decided evaluate these two devices because I've never used them before and they have given me the most interest in observation.

B ) A theory is an integrated explanation of numerous hypotheses, each supported by a large body of observations and experiments.
I used to stop on answers that I could not figure out and spend a lot of time just being frustrated. Now I know to skip those questions and move onto the next one and come back to them once my test is completed. I used to read some out of the textbook on the chapters covered on the test, but I found that I would study a lot of information not relevant to the test. Now I know to take a look at other test and see what kinds of questions were asked and see how I can apply the mistakes I made before to the test that I am about to take.
What was really satisfying about those test is the extra credit points. Even when I had my head wrapped around around the test that we were being assessed by I still remembered the characters that were embedded until my mind. It made me really happy that I am learning a language besides english (not counting pig latin.) Now when I master Mandarin I might want to learn a little bit of French so I can have a decent conversation if I ever want to go to Paris.
