Discussion Questions for FW Level II psych: Psychosocial diagnoses, issues, strategies and safety The third weeks of my level II FW has been good. I got to meet new two to three of the old Senior plus member who had not be coming since I started my FW. Howard County Office of Aging is designed for seniors from 18 years and above with mental or physical disabilities. However, the seniors must be independent or need Min A in some area. The seniors live in different places such as, long term care facilities, communities, live independently or with families and attend the program for socialization in order to maintain their present level of functioning. More so, they have different diagnoses such as Parkinson’s disease, Dementia, Intellectual Developmental …show more content…
There was an incident that the senior wanted to be changed to a different day program and the senior enjoyed attending the center. The issue was caused by another senior they both attend the center, my CI suggested that the two seniors come on different days of the week. She also suggested to have them come on one same day of the week and distance them at the center to see how they get along. The caregiver insisted to separate them, but the person being taken to another center enjoyed attending the senior plus center and it was unfair for him not to make his own decision. So, my CI contacted the appropriate people to advocate for this senior, it took them one week to resolve the issue. The senior did not attend the program throughout this week, but will be back next week now the issue had been resolved. Finally, the staff of Howard County Office of Aging Senior plus center are after the safety of the seniors getting on and off the bus. Also, the staffs make sure they have the ramp, wheelchair, and other supplies the seniors will use when taking them out for lunch or

Namaste Alzheimer Center provides a residential memory care facility for older adults suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
