Renee, I really enjoyed your post. Your employer appears to be very open in empowering nurses and providing patients with the best care. Organization that focus on people as the priority are more successful and have healthy work environment (Huber, 2014). In my opinion, nurses that have autonomy tend to be happier and more productive. Additionally, you are part of promoting a learning culture within the hospital. People can come to you for advice on skincare that is not only correct but also current with healthcare standards. Support from the organization and unit can be beneficial to nurses, patients, and overall care.

Studies show that the more academic activities a parent is involved in is significantly associated with their child having higher literacy achievement, lower rates of grade retention, and fewer years needing special education (Miedel & Reynolds, 2000). Amanda’s father’s income, education, and occupation also all correlate with her literacy abilities (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013). This is my fourth semester attending Lamar Institute of Technology. The thing that seemed to be most difficult was that most students are not offered outside opinions on teachers and the classes offered. Furthermore, the content of the bill to a certain extent is clear and organized. The bill has labeled the population in need, the details of placement time frames, the population responsible for implementing the bill, and briefly discussed under what circumstances extensions are allowed. Although, this bill has provided general information there are many gaps within it. First, the bill does not address how the child stay would be logged and who would be in charge of that. If this is established, there needs to be a specific system created to log the days of each child residing in these homes that is under the age of 12. I registered to take SEPS 405 summer 2015, but I had to drop it. I was having problems with finding a intern. job. My assigned director was Sharon Davis due to a glitch in the system but it should have been you. Sharon would have taken 195 hours and I would have to work 15 hours a week until the semester was over. Would this still be okay? I wanted to know, so I can present this to possible jobs. During Round 1 of our 3-year WDQI grant, we were able to match workforce participants in the One Stop Management Information System (OSMIS) with students in Center for Education Performance Information’s (CEPI’s) databases, and then download their Unique Identification Code into the OSMIS system. From a 2-year group of education exiters, we were able to link their interactions within the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and their wage record outcome data. We generated 24 reports designed to answer 7 Core Questions; 8 of the reports are available to the general public on mischooldata.org (Workforce section), and all 24 reports are being used by our partners in the Labor Market Information group to generate white papers, which will be completed by September 30, 2015. NOTE: The participants that we were able to link must have visited a Michigan Works! service center, which means the output data is biased and not reflective of the general population as a whole.
I learned that as a nurse I must take the initiative to regulate my work environment and myself. As much as nurses are part of the larger healthcare team, they often function autonomously. I will need to keep my skills up to date and educate myself by reading current research articles and taking classes at work. I will need to be humble and open to constructive criticism from my fellow employees. I must do my best to be hard working, honest, and helpful both in the work place and my persona life. I selected the Louisville Cardinals’ to discus this week for my week two assignment. This was Louisville’s fourth conference change since 1996.Louisville join the Conference U.S.A that year and was not welcome by its other conference colleagues, because the men’s basketball team was on probation by the NCAA. The Louisville program was also apart of a 60 minutes investigation, their home football games were being played in a minor league baseball stadium and their school has some serious Title IX issues according to Murphy, B (2014, July 1). Despite all of the surrounding issues Louisville went on to become successful on the field and basketball courts, they join the Big East conference and made their brand very attractive.
I am a highly quantitative person and I appreciate when people bring numbers with their analysis. I love to use probabilities to measure the possible outcomes of my decisions, even when they are non-work-related. According to Pythagoras, “All things are numbers” and I completely agree with these words, so before scheduling a meeting, send in advance any quantitative analysis you may have done.
