Every great scene as every movie or story follows a certain structure. Starting with an introduction, continues with progressive middle, and ends with the climax. Every character is coming into the scene with particular goals. These goals should ultimately collide with goals of another character in order to make the scene interesting. Changes in scenes and therefore changes in how the goals are being pursued are called scene beats. Your story will capture audiences only, if you have enough tension. Scene starts with Becca and Izzy. Becca comes through the door, holding a crème brulee and Izzy talks on the phone and from the conversation, is obvious, she knew the woman she punched earlier. The argument is moving towards a climax. Howie shifts his strategy and tries to come up with some counter argument. Argument continues with series of counter arguments and then Howie again accuses Becca from deleting the video on purpose to get rid of memories about Danny. Situation changing action and second beat. Becca holds it together and Howie starts listing things she did to delete Danny from their life. Third beat comes when Becca actually admits the video was an accident. Revelation of new information happens. Argument is over and for the first time we see Howie completely lose it and that’s the end of the scene. This argument clears the tension between Howie and Becca that was building up throughout the story. They are both finally ready to move

Later on, everyone was at play practice. Tasha wasn’t feeling good so she sat out. Becca’s best friend Hannah stepped in her place. When Tasha went to go move the overhead light, it came crashing down over Hannah. It killed her. The two girls were sent to prison and counseling for murder and attempted murder. After that, everything was going fine until Becca started to get a little suspicious. One night, Becca and Tasha went out into the woods. Becca was going to try and get her to confess. Natasha did end up confessing, but then she
The film begins with Stacy attending one of Bobby's wrestling matches. We see them make a long eye contact and see how small sparks start to form between them. Stacy's friends begin to describe Bobby as the perfect guys and try to convince Stacy to go after him. Fast forward a little and we see Stacy spot Bobby at a restaurant and proceed to go in and talk to him. At this time, Bobby is being portrayed as a very kind and sweet guy that only has good intentions. After a while of getting to know each other, they finally begin to start dating and we begin to see the cycle of violence in effect. Everything is all sunshines and rainbows for a while until we see tension building. The first sign we see is when one of Stacy's male friends approaches her and Bobby. The male friends ask Stacy to help them out with the student counseling meeting, but before he can finish we see Bobby speak up and tell him that they are both busy. Stacy doesn't think much of it and just shakes it off. A few seconds after this happens, a female friend of stacy approaches them. Bobby furiously gets up and walks away, stacy follows him and tries to calm him down and try to solve this issue. The first phase of the cycle of violence is over in his scene, but the second phase begins immediately
In William Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ there is alot of conflict particularly in act 3 scene 1. The audience find conflict interesting to watch because it creates drama and tension. Shakespeare uses many dramatic devices to present this; some of these techniques include foreshadowing, puns and irony to add to this effect. Another reason why Shakespeare uses conflict in the play is so that the audience are able to get attached to it and watch the conflict grow. The fact that the scene is set in a public place encourages the characters to show off, the characters do this because they want to show their strength and show people that they are not afraid. The conflict in the
In this essay I will address how conflict is successfully used in Act 1 Scene 1 to prepare the audience for the rest of the play. It will firstly show how Shakespeare uses physical conflict between the two feuding families. Secondly I will demonstrate the idea that Shakespeare introduces emotional conflict through the character of Romeo, and his outpourings of love for Rosaline. Finally I will show that the character of Romeo demonstrates both physical or external conflict and emotional or internal conflict. The purpose of the prologue is to clearly outline the plot of the whole play in fourteen lines and it also allows the audience to be settled before the actual play

Claudius asks Hamlet why does he look upset and his replies are kind smart aleck. Hamlet says that his father death is the reason why he is acting like that. Claudius gives Hamlet a speech basically telling him that losing a father

A story should engulf the audience into a new reality as they attempt to pieces together the events as information is given. As moviegoers, one highlight of the experience is trying to guess each step of the progressing plot. The characters become people the viewer can relate to and it’s all someone can do but try to predict the best outcome for them. Movies that make this difficult prove to be the best.
In a short time, contact information was exchanged between the two and plans were made to hang out together alone. Izzy and Ken’s first date consisted of meeting at their local ice-cream shop followed by a long walk in the park and movie time at Izzy’s house.
