When we talk about financial planning we have to take step back, look at the whole picture, and understand how it begins. Financial Management is the key essential in an organization when you plan financially. Financial Management is the building blocks for all accounting records and business transactions that occur. We cannot forget that decisions are based on the organizations fiscal objectives others are based on general accounting principles. When grasping the corporation’s business affairs they must look at the code of ethics to be able to understand what the organizations principles are and what they need. One organization may not see that by making an offering of a few dollars on a piece of health care equipment or special supply a patient needs worth the ethics involved thou the lack of patient process. There are also organizations that may not look at it like that because they believe that they will have to pay for or buy the equipment for the patients. It is always good to know your organizations code of ethics so that you can uphold it and connect with to ensure the success of the organization. The health care industry is like the coal mining industry it’s loaded with many hazards, dangers and risks that stem from patients to financial to legal issues. Like any organization the health care field must adhere to state and federal guidelines. All employees must follow these guidelines to ensure no legal actions must follow these standards. By adhering to these guidelines the organization insures that the professional staff is licensed and facilities are up to code. Each organization must be in compliance with state and federal standards and all times. There are four financial management elements that all organizations must adhere to be in compliance.
A code of ethics is a vital for any business, because if breaches of ethics accrue it can put companies in serious trouble with consumers, other organizations or government authorities. Making a code of ethics helps decision-making easier at all levels of an organization by reducing doubt and considerations of individual viewpoint in ethical standards.
As health care workers we are under a legal obligation to protect an individual from any kind of abuse, whether it is physical, financial, emotional, sexual or psychological .Legislation, policies and procedures exist to promote a safer working environment and reduce the potential for risks occurring. They are tailored for the needs of each setting, known and understood by employers and employees and reviewed on a regular basis.
Financial planning is the task of determining all the incomes and expenditures of the company in order to achieve all the set goals and objectives of the company. The company immediately make the financial plan after the vision and objectives of the company are formed. The financial planning includes activities, human and financial resources, materials and equipment necessary in order to achieve the goal and it also includes the time-frame need to reach the goal.
Prevailing astuteness supports the fact that working in U.S. health care field in the 21st Century call for familiarity of the countless facets of health laws as they relate to dealing with medical professionals. Further, because U.S. health care administrators have to hypothetically work together with many levels of specialists beyond the medical profession, it is judicious that they are aware of any federal, state, and local laws that may be appropriate to their organizations. Consequently, their manner is also subject to the letter of the law. They must assess the value of their professional collaborations and be watchful of the insinuations and consequences of their choices. Chapter eleven of James Svara “The Ethics Primer” was the conclusion to the book and explained to the reader the duties of a public administrator. The jist of this chapter was to help the reader identify and clarify, for anyone who was still confused, what a public administrator was, and how they should conduct themselves. As we read the first three page we are given a list of eleven duties a Public Administrator must abide by. As you read on Svara bangs it into your head just how important acting in an ethical manner is. He explains how someone is an ethical administrator is one who does their duty. Not only do they help to ensure that the organization is compliant, but they can also affect the formation of health care policy through various means. The consequences of noncompliance can be extremely detrimental to individuals and organizations. It is important that a manager understand what the policies are and how they must be met. It is important to stay informed of changes to existing health care policies or new policies in the works. The manager may work directly with the regulatory agencies, but at another time may work with a team within the organization.
