Critical thinking is described as unbiased, clear and factual thought process that helps any student with any decision-making process. Critical thinking is an essential tool that every student will need to master to continue academic success. There are multiple phases of critical thinking as described by Benjamin Bloom which include remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. The critical thinking process starts by remembering. If we can remember what we read and apply key facts we will be able to move forward to understand what decisions we need to make. From there we can then apply the facts to the decision we have to make and innovate, or create, as needed. Each individual will approach critical thinking with a different opinion or view. This is called Ethical Lens Inventory. Just like any other personality trait our personal Ethical Lens will be influenced by our backgrounds and upbringing. The preferred Ethical Len I use in decision-making is autonomy and rationality. I will always look out for the rights of the individual. After taking an Ethical Lens Inventory survey my personal blind spot for decision-making is the belief that motive justifies a method. This means that I have a very high focus on what needs to be done that I may unintentionally make collaborating individuals upset. I may sometimes feel that there are set rules and if those rules are not being followed it is up to me to make sure we are realigning. This may come across as bossy or self-centered. The way I make decisions may come across as either you do it my way or I will make you do it my way. I believe this is a case by case scenario but is somewhat true to how I ultimately make decisions and lead
