1.2 Objectives and Aims

The main objective is to recover energy from track’s Vibrations for Safety and Monitoring using Aurdino controller which will Improve Rail-Road Accidents. The proposed harvester is designed to power major areas where there is no proper maintance of electricity. The different equipments usually need a power supply of 10-100 Watts, for example generating warning signals, switches and health monitoring systems.

1.3 Literature Review

As shown in figure, there are frictional losses due to the meshing of gears and misalignment of the shaft when load is exerted on the track.
The proposed mechanical motion rectifier harvester system consists of two major parts. The first part is input assembly, which acts to convert bi-directional linear motion into single directional rotational motion. The input assembly consists of two rack and pinions, and two roller clutches. The roller clutches are fitted into the two pinions, either of them engage input shaft at a single direction.
The second part consists of the gearhead, power generator, and flywheel. These components are use to convert the motion into useful energy. As it is shown in Figure, the harvester consists of : two rack and two pinion gear which convert the linear motion to rotatry motion. Figure 2.2: Modified Prototype
A bearing clutch will be used to rectify the up-and-down motion of the rail track and a gearbox will be used to amplify the rotatry motion and a permanent magnet DC generator will be used to convert that rotation into usefull energy(electricity). When the train travels over the track, the rail-tie system displaces vertically. The rack gear is fixed in the subgrade, the harvester travels up and down relative to the rack gear, and the pinion gear moves relative to the rack gear.
