Norman Vincent Peale once said, “Change your thoughts and you can change the world.” So why don’t we change the world? The first change I would make is eliminating all taxes. After I would provide free college for everyone who wishes to attend. Finally, I would get rid of all homework. That is what I would do if I could change the world. Eliminating taxes would be the first change I would make. I would abolish taxes to save people money. With no taxes, items sold in stores would cost less. With taxes gone, it would give people more time because no one would have to do yearly taxes. Not having to do taxes every year saves people from the stress and anger when a mistakes occurs. Finally, getting rid of taxes would save people money. Taxes are so high that the people who don’t make as …show more content…
Free college would cost families less money. The money that would have been used to pay for tuition and books could be used for hospital visits or family trip. No college fee would make achieving a degree easier. This would allow students to focus more on their studies instead of worrying about paying them. Lastly, there would be less stress from college students. With less stress, college would have less drop outs than they do since the added stress of paying tuition would be lifted. Paying for college only causes stress in the world, which is why this change needs to be made. Lastly, I would make it so no one had to do homework. No homework would give students more time to accomplish other things. They could finish a book, craft, or anything they to do in their free time. There would be less stress in the world. With no homework no one would stress about finishing it. Finally, families would have more time to spend together. The time that is stolen from you to do homework takes away from family bonding. Students would have more time, less stress, and families would have more time together if homework was
If I could resolve any inequities in my community it would be for everyone to treat everyone the same, sure if we lived in a perfect world that would happen,
I personally don't think that college should be free. Students who pay for their college are more motivated, hard working and independent. Many students would have poor motivation to finish school, because they can always come back. As a matter of fact students with ambitions to get university degree are learning much harder in high school than other, who thinks they don’t need an extra paper. There are many students that are so smart, and they will find the way to get money for school. With extra work and help from family students will be able to afford college tuitions. Students need to depend on themselves; otherwise every taxpayer will have to cover their education expenses. There are several reasons why
College tuition should not be free in any means necessary. Students would not take college seriously if there was no price. College students would totally take advantage of the opportunity to go to college for free and completely blow it , it would even the playing field for everyone to be equal because college tuition is what keeps everyone else out. College would then be accessible to anyone who wanted to go.
With tuition being free they can focus on what they have always wanted to achieve and be in their lives without the worry of having to pay thousands of dollars and working many long hard hours at a job. Having free college tuition will allow students to make real life choices earlier out in the world. Some students would have the funds to begin their life decisions earlier, although some cannot make those choices till later in life, but by having free college could those choices could become possible sooner. Not all students have life decisions they chose or opted into so having something like looking forward to free tuition could boost their confidence in life and get on the right track to become something or someone they have longed to become. Plus, the impact on their lives could be changed into a better way of living and possibly for their family. Administering free college to everyone could open the possibility to more students, more professors and employees. Although, placing burdens on someone before they ever get a chance to experience life, could discourage someone from fulfilling their
If I had the authority to change my community in a positive way some changes I would enforce is volunteer to clean up the trash, organize a special event to raise money to help out around, give food out to the families in need and start a place to help/hand out food to the homeless. Many people don't realize how this could change or how much it would help. If we get people to help out in the community it would make other communities to do it so then the world would be great.
Introducing free college tuition would have a positive impact of The United States, even so much as two year associate’s degree would have a hung impact. Free college tuition would give hope to the families which can’t afford the cost of tuition. Fran Cubberley states in his paper “The reality of Free Community College Tuition” that “1,300 students who completed our entry process through course registration ultimately dropped out before classes were underway. One of the major reasons was they could not pay their tuition.” Cost for tuition is huge factor on why people don’t attend college. Just think of all the amazing talent that the world is missing out on because people don’t have the money to attend college and get a degree or
Making College tuition free would over-all result in a more educated society. “We have made K-12 education free because it is good for the individual and for society. The same is true for higher education” (Page).
By making college tuition free, a public college degree would become devalued. College is a tough place to get to and an even tougher place to be and to obtain a degree. Being a college is a highly demanding job that calls for substantial time and effort. The idea of making college free sounds like a great idea because it will allow people to increase their productivity and promote economic growth. Allowing free college in the United State would later cause issues with just receiving a college degree in the long run. Over time, the value of a college education would decrease. In America, public high schools are free from tuition and you can see the issues within them already. The state gives public schools a certain revenue from the state and so they do not compete to get the best students and are not motivated to upgrade. In contrast, private schools seem to be more critical and picky with the education quality and tuition price. This is
Well I don’t know much about politics, but I do have a few ideas about what I would love to change as a president. For starters I would want to change the 2nd Amendment: the right to bare arms. Not only that but I would also make all taxes even and based on a percentage of your income. Also I would fund a plan to send every person who wanted an education to school for free. I honestly think the changes that I would be honor to make, would make a better life for citizens.
If college were to be made free more students all around the nation would try to get better grades so that they can get accepted into college and work on their dreams.Furthermore the government won't be wasting any money but it would be a lot more like an investment because those students who graduate from college, will eventually get jobs and start paying
Another issue that would arise with higher education being free would be that the job market could have a higher supply educated workers in some fields than their demand. If college is free to the public, then the money has to really come from
College Education should be free. Initially, my first reason will be about how it manages to help poor students get an education. Furthermore, my second reason will be about how more people would be able to venture onto college. To sum up, my last reason will be that students will have more freedom to choose a major they enjoy. Here is my information to prove this.
Free college would save many students money which would in turn keep them out of debt. Without having to save up money, take a year off college to get a job to pay for it or take out student loans would save all students an
I think people need to become more aware of the damaging being done and the money that is being spent towards these horrible wars that only bring pain and sorrow. It is hard to make a change with war as it is something that everyday people can not control but there are a few simple things you can do to become involved. A major step is to become involved in today’s politics and be aware of who you are voting for. A way to help those being affected by war is to donate any money, old clothes, toys and perishable food to any major organization. Major organizations create safe spaces for children to go and help children get a start in going back to school. For more information on what you can do to help visit www.warchild.org.
Not making college education free would lead to bankruptcy and an inability to give back to the economy. Many people who are in debt with student loans often have an inability to buy a house, a car, or afford life necessitates such as medical coverage. Making college education totally free would lead to an increase of financial burden for taxpayers because they are often responsible for paying the student loan forgiveness tax. The goal is to prepare people for the workforce and to improve our economy. The purpose of higher education is to improve the health, increase lifespans, provide higher pay and decrease rates of unemployment for the
