Although, we tend to define success as a person who has made millions or someone who has broken down barriers for the next generation, however, have we been leaving out the most important part of success? Does being successful guarantee your happiness? Does it replace those lonely nights? Does success replace those sleepless nights? Does it replace the friends you have lost along your path? In my opinion, it does not. Success cannot be determined merely based off of comparisons with another person. If the mere point of this essay was to conform my definition of success into the generic term, then I have failed in my choice of a higher education. However, the most important attributes to have to achieve success have to be faith, determination, love, and realization of reality. First has to be faith in yourself to achieve anything that you set your mind to do. This is the most important thing to have before even attempting to accomplish something because if you do not believe in yourself, who would believe in you? As technology and social media continues to evolves, we have been able to see further in depth of the lives of celebrities, which in turns has proven that they are not anything different from the average person. My philosophy of success is simply being content with your life. To me personality, I still do not know what contentment is to me and that's fine. I can guess it is being independent, with a job I am passionate about and surrounded by people that truly care about me. Success is finding that point in life that, if things stayed like how they are at this moment then it would be alright. I'm not saying to stop improving yourself or that after that point nothing bad or better will happen. People should always try to improve themselves and in reality, bad things will always happen at one point. Therefor my philosophy is to work towards that feeling of contentment. It
I define success as trying you're hardest no matter what and persevering through everything that you try. You may not get through the problem that you are having. Even though you didn't complete the challenge that you were having if you got as much out of the task that was placed in front of you, then you have succeeded. I also define success as when you set a goal for you're self or someone else sets a goal for you. If you reach that goal or go above that goal that was set, then you have succeeded. I believe that success is not just finishing you're work, test or challenge, if you finish it but do not do you're best and try you're hardest, then I believe that you are not successful in what you just did, but if you go as hard as you can, not

How successful do you believe yourself to be? Is your definition of success established by grades or by money? Or as a result of the amount of enjoyable personal experiences you’ve had in your life? Bob Dylan is quoted as saying, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” This may be Mr. Dylan’s opinion of personal prosperity, but his idea of his success may be another man’s failure. Success is simply not a concept which can be confined to a predetermined set of ideals, as the success of one’s life is completely subjective.
The majority of the population describes success by the materialistic accomplishments such as being wealthy or owning land, and others relates success to a career.
