Success As an eighteen year old, the term of success has been used in many different contexts. Although, we tend to define success as a person who has made millions or someone who has broken down barriers for the next generation, however, have we been leaving out the most important part of success? Does being successful guarantee your happiness? Does it replace those lonely nights? Does success replace those sleepless nights? Does it replace the friends you have lost along your path? In my opinion, it does not. Success cannot be determined merely based off of comparisons with another person. In fact, I am a firm believer in do what makes you happy because everyone else is temporary in our lives. If the mere point of this essay was to conform my definition of success into the generic term, then I have failed in my choice of a higher education. However, the most important attributes to have to achieve success have to be faith, determination, love, and realization of reality. First has to be faith in yourself to achieve anything that you set your mind to do. This is the most important thing to have before even attempting to accomplish something because if you do not believe in yourself, who would believe in you? As technology and social media continues to evolves, we have been able to see further in depth of the lives of celebrities, which in turns has proven that they are not anything different from the average person. Then love of you has to be the next attribute that a person must have, for example the recent news of Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner. As many know he was a world renowned gold medalist, the world have considered him successful but even he did not love himself, which again proves the point that money and achievements does not make a person
